The West Des Moines Marriott did a fabulous job with our wedding. They were always very responsive and made sure that the day went super smoothly. Erin is incredible to work with and the rest of her team supporting her makes the process so easy. Erin gave us great estimates on food/drink numbers from her previous weddings and nailed the budget. We cannot thank the West Des Moines Marriott team enough for the perfect day!

What a great location! We had a small party (88 people) for our wedding and the on-site coordinator - Kelsey - was amazing to work with! She helped us with, literally, every detail: selecting the right ballroom, finding photo locations, room set up, event flow, the bar, the vendors, the desserts, the dinner, helping our vendors the day-of - I mean, everything! She was the perfect addition to our day because she made sure every single thing went off without a hitch and it made for such a smooth experience. The Marriott staff was also incredible - as soon as we checked in we felt like we were taken care of. The front desk was kind to myself and my guests; the bartender, Christine, was a particular stand out for us during our reception; the wait staff was accommodating and attentive to all of our guests; the food provided for dinner (we selected steak and pork loin) was beautifully plated and tasted amazing; the head chef made the meals wonderful and surprised us the next morning with fresh black chai donuts as a thank you to us; and lastly the suite we were provided during our stay was perfect. I absolutely recommend the West Des Moines Marriott to anyone looking for a great location for their ceremony and/or reception.

The West Des Moines Marriott helped make our wedding reception everything we dreamed it would be! We had 2 or 3 meetings with them before the big day - so they were thorough about every detail. They were even accommodating to all our special requests. The food was fantastic and our guests are still talking about it, especially the hors de oeuvres that we served at the cocktail hour. My only concern going into the evening was that there was another wedding reception that night in the other ballroom. However, during the evening we did not see our service decline and we were never disturbed. It truly was a great evening! The location, quality and value we got for our money was well worth it. You should have your wedding reception at the WDM Marriott!

Our reception was wonderful. Jack at the Marriott was very accommadating and listened to every little detail I wanted and made sure it all happened. My only critic would be that they need to do a better job around managing other hotel guests coming to the ballroom and watching in on the reception or trying to get involved. They may want to consider hiring securit for large events such as a wedding reception.

We got married here and I would definitely recommend it!!! The atmosphere was beautiful and amazing! The staff rocked and they meet any of needs whatever you want! It was so perfect!
