West End Architectural Salvage has been hosting weddings & receptions for over 10 years! We are centrally located in downtown Des Moines in a 4 story historic building with on-site parking. You will need minimal decor as our first floor is an ever evolving backdrop, giving each couple a one of a kind experience. We have a full bar with great spirits, wine and local craft beer choices. Hiring a local licensed caterer will give you the freedom to bring in all your favorite foods to further personalize your special day. Top off your event with your favorite band or DJ on our custom dance floor. We are also and wonderful place to host your rehearsal dinner, day after brunch or bridal shower. Our guests enjoyed the atmosphere and especially the scavenger hunt, which I cannot take credit for, that was all West End. Well worth the price, which was quite affordable vs other places I scouted. Very friendly staff as well. They evening got in on the dancing. If you are looking for a venue that’s a little different and very beautiful in its own way, I would recommend 200%! Plus we did most of our wedding pictures in the venue, and you get all four floors that have endless possibilities!

re both living away out of state so I was the point person here. West End was wonderful in answering my questions and calming my nerves. Cy was amazing with helping me visualize everything and to calm me down. Don always made me smile! The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect. Everything went so well. The staff here is amazing. y've had in the past. We worked exclusively with Dawn and Sai, and I have never worked with nicer people. All of our guests were in love with the venue and stated that although they have been to receptions there in the past, they loved everything we did. If we ever have events in the future, I will use West End.

latively set in his ways of doing things but really let's you do what you want. Nt a lot of decorations needed and no candles required. I'd say we fit around 225 in comfortably. It is more for cocktail style dining as there aren't many tables.
The venue was unique and the people that ran it were great! There is so much entertainment just in what is lying around at the salvage. We loved it, it was perfect!
