g photographer myself and have had my fair share of experiences with venue owners. betsy was so kind in the beginning of our wedding planning but it felt once we booked her and began the planning process she developed an attitude with me. i had a few pieces that i wanted hung in trees and though she tried helping find a spot, her attitude during the rehearsal was so unkind. so unkind to the point where i sobbed on the way to our dinner. she seemed so ready to be done with our wedding. our guests even commented on her behavior. additionally, you are only permitted a select few hours of getting ready space and though the idea of having all your stuff out of the bridal suite before the cocktail hour seems easy, it was extremely stressful and frustrating for my family. i recommended renting it for the full day or staying in it overnight to avoid the stress. for the groom’s suite, since they did not have their things out in time, when the groom went back their stuff was all out outside in the heat and the door locked - you would think she would just charge us for the extended time? our contract stated “If either space is not fully picked up before the end of the contracted rental period or there is damage found or excessive cleaning needed, a $400 fee will be taken from the damages deposit.” seemed very petty on their behalf to leave it outside instead of abiding by the contract. finally, there are a lot of restrictions regarding decorations. for one, you cannot have candles but guests are permitted to have sparklers for an exit (frustrating to comprehend in the moment). make sure you read the entire contract and restrictions before signing! if this is your only option you will have a BEAUTIFUL wedding! just wanted to come on here to share my experience - i recommend having your coordinator be the sole communication between you and betsy!

ion. The property is so peaceful and the setting is absolutely gorgeous!! Betsy was so sweet from when I first reached out to her up until wedding day. She was extremely accommodating and flexible. We were also lucky enough to stay in the bridal suite/cottage while we were there which was so cute & clean, and definitely added to the overall experience of the weekend. I definitely feel Betsy went out of her way to make our day extremely special. As for the property, the pictures speak for themselves…it was a dream come true! It was a pleasure working with Betsy and her staff! They were very helpful along the way and orchestrated an unforgettable wedding day for me and my husband. Plus there are cows! erything going on we moved it to 2021. They were very accommodating with helping us get rescheduled. This venue has all the small touches any bride or groom could ask for. We loved the little thing such as a food truck bar, fireplace, the chandeliers. And one of the best things were having the cows out near the ceremony site. I couldn't have found a better venue. I would highly recommend booking!

was amazing to work with. She always responded quickly and was incredibly thorough in all of her communication. Even though the majority of the venue is outdoors, it all feels very classy. We loved the bride and groom suites, and the guest bathrooms were very nice and newly renovated. The value for the price is unbeatable, and I am so, so glad we went with West Light Farm for our big day.

touring the farm right down to the wedding day she was so helpful and accommodating. My husband and I ended up getting Covid after our tour of the farm and put everything on hold due to uncertainty of how long our quarantine would be and Betsy still managed to get us set up for the original day we wanted. Betsy is also wonderful at coordinating your ceremony. My husband and I have 5 children together, four of them being 9 and under and a 15 year old. Them along with my one and a half year old niece were my entire wedding party. I was so stressed out about them being where they needed to be and when I got there Betsy took over and got everyone where they needed to be so I could just hang back and take a breath. Betsy is also a professional and very talented photographer. Her and her husband were just meant to be in this business because what they have created at West Light Farm is nothing short of perfection. Now on to the farm! This place is absolutely magical. Words cannot describe the beauty of this farm. It was such a beautiful day the day I got married. I was married in front of the sinkhole (Hidden Rock Hallow) and it was just everything I ever wanted for my outdoor ceremony. We opted out of a reception due to only having our family in attendance but the pole barn where receptions take place is gorgeous. There are also multiple houses on the farm where you could choose to get ready and one where you can even spend the night that are breath taking! Transportation is provided from the parking lot to the ceremony site for guests who cannot make the walk. If I’m not mistaken, the farm is not only limited to weddings. I believe it can also be booked for various events. The website mentions romantic date nights, engagement photo shoots, and of course renting their gorgeous house on Airbnb. This place is just absolutely amazing. Thank you so much Betsy and Bernard for all the hard work you have put in to making this such a special place!

The day of our wedding it was storming down raining (literally tornado watch) but they still helped us in having the most perfect ceremony and reception! The property is gorgeous and we are so glad we chose this venue!

Betsy gave us a tour of the farm when she and her husband were building it - the reception area, bridal suite, pole barn, and ceremony site were all in the making! But Betsy walked us through her beautiful vision, and we just had to book. We were able to watch her extraordinarily exceed all expectations through Instagram updates and could not wait to get married there! Unfortunately, the country shut down the week before we were supposed to get married in March. We postponed until November, but still things weren't looking good with COVID-19. Most of our friends and family would be coming from out of town, across the country, and some even outside the US, so we couldn't take the risk. When we called to postpone yet again, Betsy asked us if we wanted to elope at the farm with just our families, so we wouldn't have to wait another year. Betsy was so very accommodating every step of the way, and we ended up having a very intimate, very romantic ceremony at the Hidden Hollow. It was like a dream to be able to say our vows and really focus on one another, hand in hand under the trees. We love the venue (and Betsy) so much that we're coming back next fall to have our wedding reception/one-year anniversary party when hopefully all our loved ones can gather safely! P.S. Betsy was also our wedding photographer and is FANTASTIC!! I believe it's her unique vision as a photographer that enabled her to create such a breath-taking venue - it's set up like a photographer's dream!

pply it to our own Gothic Halloween theme. They have two different ceremony locations on site: Southern Oak and Hidden Rock Hollow. The large oak tree is majestic and large and they are able to hang a small white crystal chandelier upon your request. One of the things I find charming about Florida is our large old oak trees throughout the state and this tree did fit the bill to my liking and my husband loved that site as well. There is a large open field in front of the tree that they will bale hay from, so you are able to have a bit of rustic southern charm depending on the season. We chose Hidden Rock Hollow, which can be hauntingly beautiful. They now have built a wooden platform that the wedding party is able to stand upon for the ceremony. The benches are simple and rustic in charm. This natural sink hole is a wonder. It can be dark and mysterious or whimsical and romantic with the right photographer. Because of how wooded the area is, your guests will be protected from the sun and wonderful photo opportunities await! For getting ready, The Robert House has everything you need to be comfortable for the day while getting ready! The Farmhouse is where the guys get ready. It’s a simple room with seating and a table. It does have a fan in the corner, but one negative is that the room has no A/C at all. So unfortunately my husband was quite uncomfortable for a bit of the day as he is retired military and a bigger guy and truly does like his A/C. They gave us two options for reception areas.I opted for the pole barn to keep my guests comfortable without having to worry about sinking into the ground. There was plenty of room for all of my vendors under the pole barn and six tables set up on either side of the dance floor, and a candy table set up to one side. They had this adorable little patio set-up in the back corner that my guests loved as well. To the left front of the barn there is a fire pit now that I had many people sit by (Including my mother who is always cold), and the owners of the farm maintained the fire so we did not have to worry about it at all during our reception. There is a bathroom on site, though it is a bit of a walk from the reception barn. It is a cute little building that is a one toilet bathroom and sink, this building does have A/C so your guests can freshen up in comfort. Betsy and her husband Bernard were easy to work with and never once judged our out of the box theme. Any time I came to Betsy with a change or a question she was either able to give me an answer or work at finding an answer for me. One our wedding day one of my statues from my sweetheart table fell and broke into 3 pieces. Bernard jumped into action and saved the day by gluing it all back together with plenty of time to spare for the reception. Cons (Easier to list than all the pros): -Morning of the wedding party does have to park in the field that everyone else parks in instead of closer to where they get ready. (A pro to this is that Betsy does help get things from your vehicle and drives it over to those locations however-so in truth, it’s really not that big of a con.) In the end, we would do it all over again at West Light Farm. It all worked out nerves and all. Thank you for being a wonderful part of our special day!

to keep our original date with less than 1 and a half to plan it. We are so happy that we decided to hold our small wedding at West Light Farm. Betsy is absolutely amazing; she is very detailed oriented and provided so many wonderful suggestions. She was so easy to work with, her patience, organization skills and calmness gave me assurance that everything would be fine. I can honestly say that everything was beyond fine. It was more than I had ever dreamed off. My family, husband and I strongly believe that our cruise wedding could not have been so beautiful and special as the one we had at her venue. About a week away from the day we were to get married, while looking for a photographer we were connected with Betsy the owner of West Light Farm -the most beautiful 42 acre farm. Turns out, her and her husband are both photographers too! - And amazing ones at that. I can’t stop looking at my wedding pictures! It’s a pretty perfect combination for the owners of a venue to also be photographers if you ask me. We went to go visit the farm and instantly fell in love, it was everything we ever dreamed to be surrounded by on our wedding day. Wide open green pastures, the most beautiful oak trees and the sounds of chirping birds in the background. The day of our wedding was nothing short of intimate and perfect, and everyone in attendance agrees! Betsy and Bernard have put so much love into creating west light farm and you can really feel it. We are so happy that for the rest of our lives we will have the memories of getting married at what everyone has called “the perfect wedding venue”. Thank you again Betsy and Bernard for saving our wedding and helping us turn it into something magical!

West Light Farm. Betsy made sure she knew exactly how I wanted everything set up, and gave me different layout options for the reception area. She was there with suggestions anytime I needed them. She even helped me create the day of timeline. Betsy was involved all day, helping with anything she could and there to answer any questions people had. From the bridal suite with an abundance of light, to the hidden rock hollow ceremony site, this place is just a dream. We loved the openness of the modern white pole barn, dripping in gorgeous lighting. The handmade farm tables are the perfect addition to that space. The bridal suite had great lighting for photos, and it was well styled. It was a decent size for getting ready (I had 4 bridesmaids + hair/makeup and various visitors). Hidden rock hollow (our ceremony site) felt so unique with the handmade ceremony benches and jaw dropping sinkhole background. The transportation to our ceremony site was perfect for getting guests to the site quickly and comfortably. There is so much space out there, and we really loved all the options for the various areas we wanted to set up. There is a great fire pit area, and a few heaters for under the barn in case its cold, which we needed. There is an area for catering to set up, but no kitchen or water for dishware. The trailer bathrooms were actually very nice, better than we expected. My husband and I had the best day ever, and I am so proud that this was the place we chose. All our guests complimented the space, and how amazing it was. Thank you West Light Farm for curating a great space for us to show our vision!

The amenities that they provided (tables, chairs, bridal and groom suite,etc.) were such a huge weight lifted off of our shoulders, and on top of that were so gorgeously crafted!! Mrs.betsy truely has thought and taken care of all the little things that make a wedding day come together oh so perfectly and at an amazing price! She also is an extremely talented photographer and did our engagement and wedding photos. Highly recomend all the services west light farm has to offer! You will not regret it<3 P.s. there's a flower shop in downtown highsprings called Thompson florist that was also very kind and easy to work with for flowers at the wedding;)

e and it was perfect! There is a circle arch already positioned that I was able to decorate and add my own floral arrangements to. Betsy, the owner, was so accommodating in every aspect of my wedding. She stayed in touch all the way up until our wedding day to make sure everything was coordinated perfectly. Betsy had the benches set up at the ceremony site for me the morning of my wedding along with the cake table and chairs out at the covered barn for the cake cutting. There is plenty of parking, a gorgeous bridal suite and transportation to and from the ceremony site. The open fields and huge oak tree (another option for a ceremony site!) made for gorgeous backdrops for the reception and wedding photos. I would recommend West Light Farm over and over again to anyone looking for a truly unique and beautiful venue.

ittle bit of sunshine:) It was absolutely PERFECT!!! I'll admit I was a little high strung the day of our ceremony but Betsy was a saint and was so calming and willing to help in any way possible. Betsy even went to the ceremony site that morning and set all the benches up for us and cleaned off my burlap runner for me to walk down the aisle on :) My photographs from my wedding were STUNNING from the huge Southern Oak with the hanging chandelier to the Hidden Rock Hollow with the round wooden arbor that they provided ..... I was even able to decorate it myself :) My wedding was everything I ever dreamed of. Thank you West Light Farms for allowing us to use your beautiful venue!!!!!

And though we already had a photographer booked, Betsy took additional photos for free that were absolutely stunning. I cannot recommend Betsy highly enough.
