I had a phone interview with Nicolet and just chatting with her made me feel so at peace - she is wildly organized, calming and has extensive experience in the industry. Because we were not local we were seeking someone who had alot of connections in the Austin wedding vendor circuit and it was evident from Nicolet's background that she checked all our boxes. Nicolet jumped right in, asked me to compile pictures of what I liked (primarily from Pinterest and IG) and she went to work. Within 2 weeks she sent us an entire PDF of the entire wedding design - it was impeccable! She went to various rental companies throughout Austin to find the perfect pink shade for our linens (I was very specific that I did not want barbie or bubblegum pink) and sent us swatches to our home in Seattle. When I tell you she did it all, I mean she did it ALL! We went with the first vendor she recommended for everything ... catering, florals, rentals, DJ, etc and I trusted her without hesitation. Our wedding ended up exceeding all of our expectations - it was the most amazing night of our life and multiple times I found myself sitting back, taking a deep breath and just absorbing what she had created for us. And if the above wasn't impressive enough, she did this is 91 days!!!! Yes, we had a 91 day engagement and Nicolet was the soul reason we pulled it off. She was the rock we needed for our wedding. When she asked for a pinterest board of designs and colors I was interested in, I sent over 3 completely different boards. Somehow, she managed to use elements from each one to come up with something cohesive while highlighting my Asian and French cultures. Her contacts, organization, gentle reminders, everything she did to keep us on track helped minimize my wedding anxiety. She fully encouraged us to hire alpacas (2nd best decision, 1st being Nicolet!), worked with different vendors to execute our vision to a T while staying within our budget, and maintained her good humor throughout it all. We scheduled a Tulum wedding for Noc 2021 but moved it due to the delta variant. When we made the difficult decision to move it, we decided on moving it to Austin. So I knew I needed a wedding planner to help me out. Both of us are physicians and are always strapped on time so needed someone who was unequivocally on the ball.
