he was so much more than that. She checked in about once a month before the actual month of our wedding, and was quick to respond anytime I had questions. Once our wedding month came up, she was so on top of everything. She made sure all of our vendor contracts were being fulfilled so we were getting what we paid for, and that all details were figured out before the wedding day. What I appreciated most about Alex is that she was so helpful in letting us have our vision, but also gently nudging us in more practical directions when needed. As our wedding got closer and there were tons of small decisions to make, especially about the timeline, Alex was so great in helping us figure out what was important to us and how to prioritize that. On the day of the wedding, Alex kept things running smoothly! Alex was a pleasure to be around during our wedding weekend, and kept the perfect balance of being available while giving us space during our wedding day. She also did our wedding florals, which were absolutely beautiful. She helped us stick to a budget we were comfortable with, while filling the room and keeping true to our vision. I would highly recommend Westerhouse Weddings to any Nashville brides looking for a planner or florals, and in hindsight I regret not hiring her for the full planning package!

hrough timeline, theme, items of importance, etc. She led us through every single detail and brought up details and logistical decisions that I hadn’t even thought of! I am a very organized person, and I would have been a train wreck without Alex. She had recommendations for vendors, she answered any and all questions I had from the moment I chose to work with her. The week before the wedding we had another meeting (over the phone as Nashville was a destination wedding for us) and we solidified every decision from our first meeting, informed her of any and all changes, and went over even MORE details for the day that I never would have thought to plan out. I am so grateful to her! The day of went so smooth, she arrived and set up florals (which were soooo beautiful!!!! My bouquet and our sweetheart table and just everything was perfect!!!!) and also made sure we stayed on track with our timeline. I never felt stressed once. She was on top of every single situation that popped up, and she knew the specifics of our individual wedding like the back of her hand. She even made Andrew and I a plate after we entered the reception so we would remember to eat during all the mingling! If you are considering using Alex, do not hesitate. ack and forth a couple times during the planning process and it seemed like Alex had her own vision for my flowers. I was very particular in how I wanted my bouquets and flower arrangements and I noticed she had added flowers/ seed that were not discussed previously. I realize in the contract we signed there is a section regarding how similar flowers will be used if unavailable. However I am specifically disappointed in the pink colored small balls used. I’m unsure what they are called but these were never discussed as an option and they were placed at the very front of my bouquet and on the cake.
I tried not to think much about the issues the day of the wedding as the flowers are not that big of a deal. It is just upsetting to look back on pictures and see flowers I specifically asked not be in the bouquets.

at things about Alex. Well all of those things were true and evident when I had the opportunity to meet her several weeks before the wedding. Friendly, engaging, supportive, and most of all talented. I used Alex as my florist for the rehearsal dinner and the flowers were beautiful and were able to also be used at the reception. Some things were out of Alex’s hands the week leading up to the wedding, like the weather but she gave the guidance that was needed with regard to tenting and venue set up if it was going to rain. Which it did! Last minute changes had to take place and Alex handled them smoothly and with no disruption to the wedding or reception. I know the mother of the groom usually doesn’t have much interaction with the wedding planner but I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with her. I honestly cannot say enough good things about her work or her just as a good person. Thank you Alex for making the kids wedding come to life.

I had originally been planning on going the DIY route since I had fairly simple floral needs, but Alex's prices were so reasonable that I could NOT justify stressing myself out with flowers and candles the week of my wedding when she could handle it all for me at such a great price. I arrived at my venue and my florals were all already there, beautifully set up, and her staff also handled the flip between the ceremony and the reception. I would recommend Alex wholeheartedly, and I would 100% go to her again for any future event.
