Wes and his wife were incredible for our wedding! We loved working with them and they were so helpful not only on the day of but in the planning process leading up to the day. They helped us figure our schedule for the day of and made sure that everything flowed well. They were always willing to go that extra mile to make sure they got just the right shot. We absolutely love looking back at our pictures and our highlight video is so well done. He even got our pictures back to us faster than he promised. We couldn't be happier with Wes and Chelsea!

Wes is such an amazing photographer and so much fun to work with. He and Chelsea were really an invaluable part of the wedding itself. He not only helped immensely with timeline planning, but is very good about calming nerves up until the day and during the day too. He has such a calm demeanor. If you want a photographer that will blend in with your wedding and get amazing shots without being in the way hes amazing at that. He also helps guests get good personal photos on their phone. I cannot stress enough how his work is amazing too. Best investment I put into this wedding!

Wes is such an amazing photographer. From day one, he had such a chill personality and we never felt any pressure to book him for our wedding. When we did book him, he offered such a wide variety of affordable packages and add-ons, the must have being the Photobooth! Do it! You won't regret it. Everyone at our wedding loved it and it was fun looking back at those photos and seeing the goofiness of people who are normally more shy in front of someone taking their picture. From the engagement session to the wedding day itself, he captured the best in us and our guests. His wife, Chelsea, who also is a second photographer, is amazing too. She was helping assist on our wedding day and not photograph, but when I cried at our first look and made my makeup so splotchy, she jumped right in and was able to fix it. They were both so helpful with so many things. And Wes is a ninja, there's no other words to describe him. Seeing our photos at our reveal I was like "How did you get this shot? I didn't notice you there, or there and you were right next to me for this". Wes wanted us to have such an amazing day and he did. And our guests loved him too. I don't think the reception had been going on for an hour before he had a laptop up by the bar for our guests to see the pictures he took earlier in the day. And when we finished up our last picture for the night, they presented us with a little Polaroid album of the main moments. I cried it was so sweet. Seeing the reveal of our photos brought more happy tears because he captured the wedding so well, it was nice to revisit that day. I can't recommend them enough!

We were so excited to work with Westley Leon Studios for our wedding day! We worked closely with Wes to make sure we chose the right package that suited our needs and wants. We ended up getting a photographer, videographer, and also the photo booth! We got to work with 2 of their associates, Rick, and Fernando. Rick was easy to work with and was able to give us directions as we needed it a lot! Haha! He also took our engagement pictures. During our wedding he was ready to capture all the moments we wanted. Fernando our videographer and Rick were very patient when it came time for me to get ready, as we ran into difficulties figuring out the corset back! They were very patient! They helped capture all the family portraits we wanted and even captured our private vows! Highly recommend this company! The photo booth was also a hit and everyone loved it! We can’t wait to see the full results of the day!

THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHERS HANDS DOWN ! I was a bridesmaid in my cousins wedding last summer & they hired Westley Leon Studios for the big day. As someone who dreads having there picture taken, it was amazing how comfortable Wes and Chelsea made us all feel right away! They made everything SO FUN and relaxed while also being professional. Multiple times I saw them checking in with the bride and groom asking they needed anything or could help with anything throughout the day. I really can not say enough good things about these two! We are SO grateful we chose Wes and Chelsea to be our wedding photographers. They both have such great personalities and fit right in with our family and friends. My husband and I are both kind of awkward when it comes to being around new people, but we felt so comfortable with Wes and Chelsea. Since the day we hired them, they have been so helpful. We had our first meeting over zoom to go over what we wanted and Wes sent us over the pricing. Not once did we ever feel pressured into chosing Wes. By the time dinner was over at our wedding, we ALREADY had sneak peeks of our pictures. Wes and Chelsea also made us a polaroid photo book, which we absolutely loved! If you are looking through these reviews trying to decide if you want to hire Wes and Chelsea, get them BEFORE another lucky couple takes them! They are absolutely AMAZING! P.S. GET THE PHOTOBOOTH! It was a hit at our wedding! Our guests were taking pictures all day and night long.

Westley Leon Studios really helped bring our day together and match the vibe of the day so well. Our families and friends couldn't stop telling us how amazing they were. Having them as our vendors through all this planning made it feel like we had wedding coordinators. Any questions or freak out moments (🫣 the bride) had they were there to reassure us that the day would be amazing and worked out the kinks with us. We started our first wedding planning in 2020 and canceled the event 4 months before the date. We had a different photographer. We truly thank God that we canceled the event then because if not, we wouldn't have started planning a second one that led us to Westley Leon Studios. Wes is easy to work with, fun, and down to earth. My husband and I have anxiety and social awkwardness, but Wes made us feel so comfortable and free to be ourselves. His wife, Chelsea, and his assistant were always in sync and there to help. I didn't worry at all about if an iconic moment was missed because they were on it. You could literally see our love, the fun people were having coming off the images/mini vidoes they captured. We wouldn't change a thing. Westley Leon Studios was perfect.

From the moment I met Wes at a bridal expo I knew I wanted to hire him. His genuine personality mixed with his professionalism makes him such an amazing person to work with. He is the ultimate hype man while also being the calm in the storm around you the day of your wedding. I literally cried when it was time for them to pack up at the end of the night because I didn’t want them to leave! Everyone at the wedding was telling me how awesome my photographers were as well. Wes was a superhero on our wedding day. It’s taken me almost a year to write a review because of how crazy our lives got. Right before our wedding we had a tragic accident in our family that resulted in the death of my cousin the day after our wedding. The day of the wedding was filled with so many emotions and that day Wes was more than a photographer. I’m not even sure that he knew of the accident but he went above and beyond to make our dreams come true. Wes is amazing! If you’re looking for someone who can fit right into your group and make everyone feel comfortable, Wes is who you need! Hired Wes to be our wedding photographer after we saw what an amazing job he did at a close friend’s wedding. Even before we officially hired him he was so helpful and such a kind person. Honestly, we couldn’t imagine having anyone else be our photographer. Wes made us laugh and feel comfortable the whole time he was there. Wes went above and beyond what we ever would have expected from a wedding photographer, and we couldn't recommend him more!!! 1) He was SO FLEXIBLE -- hanging with us through two initial date changes and a final decision to hold both a COVID mini-wedding and a postponed reception. Throughout that entire process he responded with nothing but kindness and understanding, helping assuage our big feelings about everything. On top all of that, he was then kind enough to make a custom price package for us to capture both a couple of hours of pictures on our actual wedding as well as his usual full-day package on our postponed reception, and it was the best money we have ever spent. 2) We treasure the memories from our so much, and no one could have captured them better than Wes. He has the perfect blend of responsive to our needs/desires, the know-how to pose everyone when we didn't know what we were doing, and that photographer's eye to capture those beautiful, unexpected, candid moments. And not only did we receive all of our pictures in a super easy-to-navigate and easy-to-share online format, he also put together a beautiful slideshow of some of the top moments set to music. 3) Wes is SO FUN! He's the guy you want to have around on the wedding day, who fits in seamlessly with your wedding party and seems like another one of the crew. If I could give Wes and Chelsea 6/5 stars, I would. I seriously cannot recommend Westley Leon Studios enough. Our photos and highlight film turned out AMAZING, because Wes is absolutely incredible at what he does. He's more than just a photographer though; he feels like an ally and a friend, and a part of the wedding party. He managed to bring the crowd together and get everyone pumped, be in all places at all times without being intrusive, and brought an incredible energy to the entire event. He has an intuition for capturing important details and moments, and was such an amazing photographer that we had numerous guests tell us--unprompted--how incredible he was. Seriously cannot recommend enough!!! There simply aren't enough words to express all of the ways that Wes helped us--beyond just capturing photography-- on the day of the wedding and in all of the planning leading up to it. 150% recommend him-- you will never, ever regret it. We got a full wedding photography package from him, as well as a photo booth and highlight film. Absolutely everything far, far exceeded our already-high expectations. We will have these images for the rest of our lives, and could not be happier with them.

Wes was a DREAM to work with--BOOK HIM ASAP! We were originally scheduled to get married in Sept 2020, but were forced to cancel four months prior due to Covid. Calling vendors to cancel a wedding date is a nightmare during normal times, but with Covid on top of everything, we were very worried about complications. Wes not only made sure he was fully available for our new date in 2021, but he took the time to connect with us personally. He took the time to reach out to us on our elopement day and congratulated us both. He called and skyped and emailed with us continually in the months leading up to the big day, 'just to check in' and to make sure we were feeling secure, happy and didn't need anything. He helped us solidify the vision and theme for the reception, and made suggestions for fun activities for the guests. AND, when our videographer fell through at the last minute, Wes even used his own sound equipment and camera to record our ceremony, to ensure that my husband and I didn't lose a second of vows. WHAT WEDDING VENDOR DOES THIS?!?!😍Book this guy NOW before he fills up for the season (which he does FAST, his beautiful work speaks for itself!) and rest easy knowing you're in good hands and even better lighting with Wes!

We just got our wedding pictures and video Friday and OH MY GOD. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH AMAZING THINGS ABOUT WES. When you get to do your reveal, he treats you like family. We got hugs, snacks and wine! The video is absolutely perfect, I’ve watched it probably 100 times now. I am so beyond blown away by our pictures. I knew I’d love everything before we got them but he did a million times better than I even expected!! Ugh we love you Wes!! Thank you so much for being so incredible! ❤️

A couple of years ago, after the first time my wedding was rescheduled due to COVID, my original photographer had to cancel because she was not available for the new date. A friend of mine, who is a photographer, sent out a request to Chicagoland photographers explaining that her friend needed a photographer for a 1920s themed wedding, but the catch was that it was also a Murder Mystery wedding, so it would be a little non-traditional. I got several replies from photographers who were interested, but Wes from Westley Leon Studios was so unabashedly eager and excited to be a part of it, that it was really no contest. He met with my wedding planner and me via Zoom to get all the details. I--the worst kind of client--gave instructions like, “I don’t know, just, like, take some candid pictures.” Undeterred in his enthusiasm, Wes gave lots of options and walked me through some of the ideas and insisted that he can live in the moment (*spoiler* this turns out to be true). We asked what would happen if, in the “unlikely event,” the wedding was rescheduled or cancelled again. He laid out his extremely fair terms which protected both of us and insured that someone would be at the new date even if he, himself, was unavailable. Two reschedules later, and he was true to his word. Luckily, he was still available to be there in person and did not lose an ounce of excitement. As I had never planned a wedding before, I didn’t realize that “it’ll only take me about a half hour to get ready” was hilariously inaccurate. I know that he was excited to take pictures of us on the grounds because Allerton Park and Retreat Center in Monticello, IL has the greatest gems around the property. It’s like the photographer’s Mecca. Of course, I took way longer to get ready, so Wes moved back and forth between the bride’s and groom’s respective rooms and then moved around the mansion and property to get some absolutely beautiful pictures anyway. He was so patient and kind, and I feel bad that he didn’t get to realize his full vision (if he was upset about it, he never showed it). The turn around time on the pictures was surprisingly quick, and they are beyond incredible. He’s right; he really does have an eye for catching the best moments on the spot. When I went through the gallery, it was like I was reliving every moment. I also relived other people’s moments because I totally caught my husband in a lie! (This was all in jest, of course, and an inside joke between us.) Wes went above and beyond to capture each moment and produce such beautiful works of art from them. He’s flexible, easy to work with, and makes you genuinely feel like your day is actually the best day of all time. Pick Westley Leon Studios every single time.

There are not enough awesome words to describe Wes! From our first initial meeting to our consultations, Wes was extremely communicative and punctual when it came to responding to any questions we had. My husband and I recently got married during the crazy pandemic and he reassured us over and over that he would have our backs and wouldn’t back out. You have no idea how much that meant to us to hear that! He honestly eased all of our worries :) Additionally, He truly made our special day way more than just special. He made sure everything went smoothly and he even stayed for a bit longer than expected to take probably the best photos of the reception! From the moment we met Wes we knew it was a done deal. He was so personable, answered all of our questions, and really made a connection with us. From our first venue burning down, to trying to plan a wedding during COVID-19, Wes was there through it all and supported us. He was prompt with communication and always reassuring us. We decided last minute to just get married at my parents house and with 48 hours notice he was instrumental in that. He wasn’t just a photographer that day, he held umbrellas when it rained, opened doors, and even offered drink refills. He truly does it all. My parents were unbelievably impressed and my dad is hard to please. We received the photos and they were amazing!!! Beyond our wildest expectations! A wedding takes on a life of its own, and Wes was there to capture all of the moments we will forever cherish. From our initial phone call with Wes to our wedding day, he was excellent to work with. He took the time to really understand what we were looking for in a wedding photographer and kept us relaxed. He brought a lot of energy to our engagement session as well as the wedding day. He was one of our favorite wedding guests! Wes was the best from the first time we contacted him with wedding photography questions (which we had quite the list) to the days after our wedding! We knew as soon as we started our engagement photo session that we were going to have a blast with him on our wedding day. Our engagement photo session in Chicago was awesome! Not only did we have a good time but we had beautiful photos that were fun, unique and captured how much love there was between my fiance and I. Leading up to our wedding day Wes answered all of our questions, responded so quickly to all of our emails even if it was late into the night and was very detailed on how our wedding day photos would go so that he didn't miss a thing. Both of our families and friends told us over and over how great our photographer was and our wedding party just loved him as much as we did! His use of natural lighting and getting the perfect moments are spot on! We appreciate the time and gorgeous shots Wes took of all of us. We can't wait to see more! We will definitely use him again as a photographer and definitely recommend him to others.

Wes deserves 30 stars, at least. From our initial conversations on budget through the final posting of photos, Wes was attentive, professional, and so fun to have around. In our engagement session, he was able to make my introverted fiance comfortable in front of the camera. On my wedding day, he reassured me regularly that we were on schedule and everything was fine. At our reception, he was able to display a small set of the day's photos on our venue's monitors, and our guests were delighted to see them first hand. Your day goes by in a flash. My wedding day was perfect and Wes was by my side to capture it all. He worked with me and my crazy schedule and even gave me suggestions on things I was missing or creative ways of doing things. He was always available by text, call, or email. I would hire him to take pictures again in a second. The pictures really captured the personality of my family and it was captured in a elegant but fun way which is exactly how I wanted it to be. Wes is a cool guy with a great personality which makes working with him for all 12 hours fun and entertaining. He knows what he’s doing and won’t let you down.

Hiring Wes as our photographer was the best decision we made for our wedding day! From the time I met him a year prior, Wes made us feel as though we were the only wedding he ever thought about!
