n searching for a Wedding site, we found Historic Westover and knew it was the perfect place. What we didn't know at the time was just how incredible the family is that lives and hosts weddings at their home . Andrea Erda and her family did everything possible to help make the day special. Andrea's experience, gentle guidance, support and suggestions on how to improve the day were always spot on. She uses the word "magical" often and it truly was just that. I received numerous calls and texts over the next few weeks expressing just how magical the wedding and the setting was. Everyone was in awe of the incredible location, the Historic home and it's significance. My daughter and her new husband loved every minute and I sincerely believe it made their wedding "dreams" come true. We couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend this special place and the special people that live there!

ea, who was lucky enough to grow up here, is incredible to work with. She is such a sweet person and helped us with vendor recommendations and all sorts of requests throughout the planning process. She welcomed us, two women, with open arms and we are honored to have been the first same sex wedding at Westover. I couldn’t imagine being married anywhere else. From the moment I contacted Andrea until the moment we left the reception, I felt so assured that our wedding was going to be everything we wanted without any unwanted drama. Andrea made us feel a part of Westover and a part of their family for our time together.
It was nice to have a venue owner who took so much pride in their home, made you feel like the only bride that mattered, and just put you at ease. They have their priorities straight and are very level headed, and I really appreciated that. My guests were in awe of the house, the grounds, and hospitality shown at Westover. My husband and I can't wait to go back and share a bottle of wine at Westover to celebrate our one-year anniversary!

beautiful place situated right on the James River, but the owners, Andrea and Rob, were so much fun and helpful during the entire planning process. They opened this historic home to our guests for the cocktail hour, providing tours of the interior and interesting facts about the house and its historic background. The house, grounds, and views are unmatched, and we heard over and over from our guests about how unique and beautiful the venue was. Cannot rate Westover high enough as a perfect special event location.
