Born from a dream of a handful of avid golfers over a century ago, this property is a premier country club in Northeast Ohio. In February 1914, the group of businessmen titling themselves "The Westwood Club" incorporated a company to create a challenging golf course on the west side of Cleveland. The original property was thoroughly redesigned by the talented architect Charles Hugh Alison. Finished in June 1926, this course hosted tournaments and some of the greatest names in golf, such as Arnold Palmer and Bobby Jones. In 2009, the state-of-the-art clubhouse opened with the luxury of a colonial revival-style building combined with contemporary features and amenities. The skillfully manicured greens and fairways are complemented by water features and bridges constructed from natural stone. You and your guests may enjoy an outdoor event seated on the Dining Terrace or Lounge Patio. The indoors also host festivities in the Formal Room, the Alison Room, the Westwood Room, and the Grill. With ballroom space for up to 300 guests and a dance floor and space for a band or DJ, you can bring plenty of well-wishers to your celebration.
