The food was excellent and the servers were very sweet. Love that you can also get ready for your big day at the venue starting at 9am- made our lives easy. We had both our ceremony and reception at Wetherington, and the venue itself is absolutely beautiful. We got so many compliments on the venue itself, the food, and the service! It was super easy to stay on site all day too, from having separate getting ready rooms for both the ladies & guys, to the amount of photo locations, and the ceremony & reception spaces themselves. Not to mention, it was super easy to book a room block & shuttle service through their hotel partner - which was only a 5 minute drive away! There's also so many things to do nearby for guests coming in from out of town! We could go on & on about how much we loved Wetherington, but we would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue!

ve known it was too good to be true. Since this is the first wedding either of us had planned we had no idea what to expect. We got a complimentary tasting which we were excited about, but did not realize they do one large group tasting a year in January or February with all of the couples. Since our wedding was in April we wanted something earlier so that we could get our RSVP cards out to our guests. They tried to accommodate but the times did not work out so we decided we would just do the big tasting event. Not long after we decided, we got an email saying the prices were increasing (just over 4 months before our wedding). The reasoning was that they had a new chef with a whole new menu (the menu changed slightly, but not worth the significant price increase in our opinion). We were left with no other choice but to stay at that point and deal with the increase in prices. We had already printed our invitations and made the arrangements. Unfortunately, the contract for the venue states pricing is subject to change, so we were stuck. Fast forward to the day of the event. The venue was beautiful, but we were not happy with the quality of service we received, especially at the price we paid. -They did not have the staffing per table as promised. -The staff also never checked in on us during cocktail hour. We were standing at the front in the welcome line, so we were not able to walk around and find the appetizers ourselves. We were lucky to get any of the appetizers, and that was only because one of the bridesmaids happened to ask if we had any yet. -We had several guests tell us after the reception that the servers had cleared the dinner plates before they were done eating, while they were away getting drinks. -On the other hand the mother of the bride had to ask them to clear her table because no one had done it well after they were already clearing others. -Many guests told us they didn't get to try the chocolate cake, even though we were sent home with a whole layer of uncut chocolate cake (apparently we had to specify that we wanted both flavors cut, not just one flavor at a time). This was also disappointing because of how much we had paid for the cake. The venue was great, but the events leading up to the wedding were very frustrating and difficult. It's expected that not everything will go perfectly as planned, but to hear that even our guests noticed the shortfall of the reception service was upsetting to say the least considering the price we paid.

They checked on us while we were getting ready, were there to answer any and all set up questions we had, fixed my veil and dress as I walked down the aisle, and they were incredibly attentive to us and our guests throughout the entire ceremony and reception. Ashley and Jessica offered to run to Meijer to get a cake. Thankfully the cake arrived before dinner was served. Speaking of dinner- the Buffet was fantastic- delicious and received many compliments. Lastly, they allowed my daughter to have a memorable experience without hovering. They are supportive, accommodating and professional. Thank you!

s were fantastic. We had multiple attendees tell us it was one of the best filets they have ever had. The steaks were perfectly seasoned and perfectly prepared to a medium doneness, and they were served hot! The breaded chicken was also very good, as was the Asparagus. The service was predictably excellent. They were to a person, fantastic at this event. They executed as a team throughout the night. They treated everyone as though they were the most important people they had ever served... it was truly impressive. The bride and groom are so happy. The entire experience was way above their expectations. They are still smiling at the success they feel from the event. I would strongly encourage anyone seeking a high class, reasonably priced venue for a wedding and reception to consider Wetherington.

to book for our 2020 wedding. Although we had to reschedule due to Covid, for September of 2021, we knew we'd have the wedding we both dreamed of. The gorgeous staircase leading to lovely greenery out back, made for a breathtaking outdoor ceremony! Not to mention, the inside for the reception looked amazing, and Ashley was very helpful in answering all of our questions and the rest of the staff on the big night were very accommodating as well. The only thing I would say, with the cost of having such an amazing wedding at this venue, it would have been nice if they would have provided us a bottle of champagne and not had my bridesmaids buy it for us before the ceremony, just saying. But would recommend for sure.

. The Clubhouse and Grounds are stunning as is. With little touches here and there, the main ballroom became the perfect backdrop (with AC - must for hot July) for both the ceremony and reception. While we set out a few small items like the gift table and table numbers, the Club took care of the rest, including the room flip itself. The servers and bartenders that night were extremely professional and went above and beyond to make sure every guest had an incredible time. The amount of table service we received is extremely rare to find at any other venue - coming from someone who works in the industry. We are still receiving so many compliments from our guests on how great everything was (especially the food)! Wish we could go back and live it again!

Ashley Lueth was truly one in a million. She handled my anxiety and OCD self so well. She and her staff were very attentive, allowing us to truly "be present in the moment".

they have an amazing indoor option, and even when a random storm popped up right in time for our Ceremony Ashley and the team worked their magic to bump up the ceremony and work with all the arriving guests to make our outdoor ceremony work out great and be one that no one will forget! As a bride I could have easily been super stressed but not once was I stressed. Ashley literally took care of everything, she set up everything for us so we didn't have to lift a finger! Wetherington is absolutely stunning and even the photographer and videographer made comments on how pretty the location is! The food and drinks were amazing, the late night munchies were a hit, and everything turned out perfect! I could not have asked for a more perfect and beautiful ceremony and reception and working with Ashley made the whole day completely stress free and amazing!

The entrance is so picturesque! We had some of the most beautiful pictures taken at the entrance! We were so glad for a covered entrance as we did have some rain that day. The grounds are so nicely landscaped with wonderful views! And the parking is very convenient, with a drop off Area if needed. The interior is just beautiful with all the windows, the many Outdoor patio areas, the beautiful tables and upholstered chairs, the large bar area, the designated areas for the dance floor, DJ, cake, photo booth, gift table, etc. The locker rooms used for getting ready were large and spacious; the bride and groom enjoyed getting ready and having lunch with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Both our daughter and our son-in-law spent most of the day at Wetherington, from early in the morning getting ready to their send off at the end of the evening! The food was delicious, we received many compliments from our guests! The servers and the bartenders were most attentive to our needs! And most importantly, it was a true pleasure to work with Ashley and the entire staff at Wetherington! As stated above, I don’t think we could have asked for anything better! We loved our reception at Wetherington! Thank you to all!

ss. The space is roomy but intimate. The chef is exceptional. The vaulted ceilings make for ideal ceremony acoustics and musical sound. The dance floor can accommodate even the largest of parties. And the pre-wedding preparation space for the wedding party is quite fitting for the occasion; spacious and luxurious. My wife and I highly recommend Wetherington!

The venue is naturally decorated beautifully and we only had a few detailed centerpieces and decorations and it was just enough because the space is already elegant and beautiful. Ashley Lueth, the wedding event coordinator, was amazing. From our original meeting, to our tasting, to last minute planning our rehearsal dinner at their lodge, to the day of she was there every step of the way helping guide us and make our day extra special. The food was amazing- the lemon pepper chicken was my favorite and the sweet potatoes were my husbands- but all was delicious. From the moment arriving to the Wetherington, staff was amazing and took great care of us. You could ask anyone in the place and they would make sure your every need was taken care of. Ashley took care of things I didn’t even realize needed taken care of. She took lead and handled anything that came up without stressing my husband or I. Everything at this venue went off without a hitch. I have absolutely zero complaints. 10/10 this place is amazing! They have space for both men and women to get ready, both large spaces and very nice. There is also an elevator on property to help get up and down the stairs if you have anyone who needs it- which was a pro for my mom who doesn’t do great with stairs (minor detail but helpful!)
