We had an engagement shoot with Crista in Palm Beach and couldn’t happier with the entire process and the photos! It was a freezing cold morning, but Crista knew exactly what she was doing to efficiently get the shots. She was so much fun to work with and got my fiancé out of his shell and more comfortable in front of the camera! She was incredible at directing us since we felt awkward in the beginning and her bubbly personality and willingness to try new shots gave us some stunning photos! She also got the final photos back to us later that night! She’s incredible and I wouldn’t think twice about hiring her for your wedding or photography needs!
Crista did a great job photographing my small, intimate wedding. She captured us and we love all of the pictures!

Hi, I’m Crista Marie—the heart behind What A Natural Photography.
I’m your wedding day hype woman, calm in the chaos, and memory-catcher all in one. Based in Delray Beach, Florida (and always open to travel), I founded this business in 2020 with a heart to document love stories in a way that feels genuine, intentional, and deeply personal.
Having recently walked through this season myself as a bride in June 2024, I understand just how meaningful—and at times overwhelming—this experience can be. My role goes far beyond photography. I’m here to guide you, support you, and create a space where you feel fully present and taken care of throughout your day.
With a background in Musical Theatre and a Master’s in Psychology, I approach each wedding with both creativity and emotional awareness. I’m not drawn to overly posed or rigid images—instead, I focus on the in-between moments: the laughter, the quiet glances, the movement, and the emotion that make your story uniquely yours.
My goal is for your gallery to feel like stepping back into your wedding day—reliving it, not just viewing it.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me spending time with my two pups, teaching voice lessons, or creating faith-based curriculum for young children—an extension of my heart for connection, creativity, and purpose.
No matter how or where your day unfolds—on the beach, beneath twinkle lights, or in an intimate backyard setting—I’m here to ensure you feel at ease, supported, and fully present while every meaningful moment is thoughtfully documented.

With a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance and a Masters in Psychology, Crista brings a unique blend of artistry, technical skill, and emotional intuition to every session. Her love of photography exploded during her experience behind the lens while working at Walt Disney World in 2022, where she honed her ability to capture authentic, joy-filled moments. What started as a passion project for providing high-quality, affordable headshots quickly evolved into a full-service photography brand. Since founding What A Natural in 2020, Crista has photographed everything from newborn snuggles to wedding day “I do’s”—and everything in between. Known for her calm, confident presence and natural ability to make people feel seen, Crista specializes in timeless, documentary-style photography that honors real connection over perfection. While her roots are in portraiture, her work now spans weddings, elopements, lifestyle sessions, events, pets, and even product photography.
