I found Jessica Al-Khalifah through an article on Keep Weddings Weird and not only is she amazingly fun to work with, but she also had the best prices (before we contacted, husband...
-to-be and I searched a bunch of event photographers in Texas and no pro beat her price; for $1,800 we got 6 hours of wedding coverage that yielded 512 photos and a one-hour engagement shoot that actually turned into two hours with fun chitchat and yielded 84 photos). There were some technical SNAFUs regarding websites and online photo galleries, but she worked with us and we did get our photos in the end! She was very understanding of the way the pandemic messed with scheduling and various wedding stresses and helped mitigate some of that crazy.
Speaking of crazy, if your wedding is even a little offbeat, I strongly suggest Jessica! She's open to some weird and silly business: my own dress included a furry tail instead of a train, thanks to some jokes with my husband, and this did not phase her one bit. We had a ton of fun.
One thing of note: her editing style tends to wash out yellows a bit (and possibly oranges and reds as well to a lesser extent). While this is flattering to my almost-albino-tends-to-redden skin, it turned the "yellow rose of Texas" in my flowers to more of a buttercream than gold (still pretty, just not true-to-life). But, my bridesmaids' green dresses came out top notch, something I could never seem to get a cell phone photo to capture!
With just a quick glance at her portfolio it's easy to tell that Jessica is an amazing photographer. What we loved about working with her is what you don't get see until you meet h...
er. She has an amazingly FUN personality and projects a feeling of calmness and reassurance that made us feel relaxed and comfortable even on the most stressful and exciting day of our lives. She really listened to what we wanted for our wedding which was to capture the moments between us, and our loved ones and she didn't let us down. She is also ready to roll with your crazy ideas and themes if you have them. From our half Star Wars, half Alice in Wonderland engagement shoot, to getting down on the dance floor with us at our wedding, we couldn't have imagined having anyone else, but Jessica. If you're looking for someone who can perfectly balance professionalism, artistic styling, and someone who will direct even the most awkward and unphotogenic couple, she's the one or you. We really feel like we had so much more than just a great photographer and couldn't recommend her more. We're so grateful for all of her hard work and amazing talent.
I cannot begin to express how wonderful it was to work with Jessica and her second photographer, Nicole! Right off the bat she made us feel very comfortable and made it easy for us...
to pose. During our engagement shoot she gave us some suggestions but let us do our thing and she caught some great candid's. She even went with my usual request to take pictures at our workplace in scrubs (we met working together in ICU). During our wedding, she took every photo we wanted and more. She's very flexible and fun! Her style uses darker tones but the pictures still come across airy and natural. She's easy to communicate with and we got our pictures back a little less than 2 weeks after our wedding. Highly recommend Jessica and her team!
So one of the reasons I choose to go to Jessica outside of her AMAZING and UNBELIEVABLE photos that I saw, was just the glowing reviews she had. So I thought, even if I don’t like ...
how they came out it sounds like I’ll have a lot of fun with her doing it anyways! And let me say, I was not disappointed! She is such an awesome person to work with! She made it fun and just a great time and in result it showed in the photos. Once she did our engagement photos I knew I was in good hands and choose the right photographer. She also saved the day when we lost our vintage get away car by providing her own beauty T-Bird. It was all just so awesome. Even my mother in law raved how much she enjoyed Jessica and Sandy as our photographers. She really enjoyed how friendly they were to our friends and family. You won’t make a mistake going with Shutterenvy. Because they will indeed have other bride’s envious they didn’t choose her themselves. Thank you Jessica! For your patience, awesome talent, and beautiful personality! We had a blast.

I knew without a doubt when I saw them I had made the right choice for the wedding day and she and her second photographer absolutely delivered. I'm so happy to have such beautiful photos to remember the whirlwind of a day by and to look back on forever, not to mention the price was worth every penny and the printing rights were included in the package so we are able to print them in the future as we like which is amazing.

le to capture some beautiful shots after the fact that had great detail (down to where you can see as the raindrops were coming down). She came up with alternatives and solutions if something didn't go according to plan, which it didn't, so we really appreciated that. She was relaxed, tried to have fun with it. Very artistic. We enjoyed working with her.
