Just 50 minutes outside of the heart of Miami and 30 minutes away from the Florida Keys, the property offers a lush getaway. The grounds boast 5 acres of verdant landscaping, creating a paradise-like setting for special occasions with up to 150 guests. Only hosting one event a day, the venue will provide you and your loved ones with a private, luxurious setting for your celebration. The main house features modern, bright designs with beach-inspired accents and can accommodate ceremonies and receptions. Leafy palms and other greenery surrounding the building form a tropical ambience. When celebrating here, you can enjoy the warm Florida breeze thanks to the covered outdoor patio complete with a plush couch and ceiling fans. Beside the house, you and your partner are welcome to relax before the festivities in separate get-ready suites. Each includes cozy furnishings and modern amenities to make preparing an comfortable, unforgettable experience for you and your loved ones. At the back of the house is the Blue Lagoon outdoor area. Featuring market lighting draped between palm trees, lounge seating, and azure pool, it can be used day or night for any aspect of your celebration. After the sun sets, you can avail of the expansive stone fire pit or private, sunken grotto to create additional long-lasting memories. For a more in-depth look at the venue, the owners invite you and your partner to visit for a tour. Our all NEW lodging house can be added to any package for an additional fee. This lodging house has a minimum 2 night stay but can be used as a private area for a rehearsal dinner and for family members or bride and groom to stay! The team at Whimsical Key West House is devoted to providing couples and their loved ones with one-of-a-kind events at their venue. A variety of services such as bar rental and dessert options along with wedding design and planning are available. For a seamless dining experience, there is an outdoor, fully equipped kitchen and covered prep area that can be used by your caterer of choice. We had the most perfect wedding at Whimsical Key West House on 4/5/2025. The venue grounds are incredibly beautiful and had all of our guests raving about how stunning it is. They would have stayed forever if we could have let them. Beyond how everything looks and flows, Xiomara and Ray were just the most wonderful people to work with. They went above and beyond in every possible way to prepare for our wedding and provide us and our families the best service. They were personable and cared tremendously about every single detail- which is a huge reason we booked with them. It truly was an honor to have our wedding at Whimsical, it felt so special and everything went better than we ever imagined. Extending our most heartfelt gratitude to Whimsical and everyone involved for being a huge part of this most cherished day and memory.

I had my wedding here February 26, 2022 and it was amazing up until the very end. The owner of this home must be losing her damn mind. We were told by the owner of this house that the music had to be off by 11 PM but we were more than welcomed to stick around after in the fire pit playing a guitar and roasting marshmallows. At 11:05 the owner of this house CALLED THE POLICE on her own party. We were about 30 of us just roasting marshmallows nothing wild happening at all. Everyone was on their way out already when she called the police. No one was able to grab honey favors because this woman went crazy. Do you know what it is to be kicked out of my own wedding? Do you know how embarrassing it is for my guests to have heard the owner of this house yell from her second floor balcony “EVERY ONE GET THE F$CK OUT OF HERE.” When a groomsmen went back into the backyard to ask if the owner needed help picking up she replied “are you with the wedding party? No. I just need you all to get the f$ck out off my property.” Not only that, she accused the groomsmen of breaking something in the grooms suite. (Which was not broken) She accused the groomsmen of drinking her alcohol. (Which they didn’t) My mother left this venue balling her eyes out of embarrassment. Don’t rent your house out of you’re gonna act like an uneducated animal. I have never been more disgusted by a grown woman’s behavior. I DO NOT recommend this venue to anyone.

We loved the venue. Zee and Ray were amazing and very friendly. They made us feel at home. The location is beautiful and truly is whimsical. They made sure everything was beautiful which isn't hard to do when the venue on its own is amazing. I would definitely recommend to any family and friends looking to get married or just have an event. The valet service for the cars was a bonus. Being able to get ready in the bride and groom suite was perfect. Truly a day I will never forget.

Whimsical Key West house is breathtaking. It's a true tropical oasis with so much space making it the perfect venue for hosting an event even during a pandemic. We chose the Key West house prior to COVID and the venue was flexible and helpful when we decided to change our date as a result. What makes this venue so unique is the number of different areas (pool with the lovely limestone-looking deck, HUGE back lawn with string bistro lights that provide ample lighting, banyan tree, a secret little grotto, fire pit, and a cool side-yard with a huge anchor and sand) on the property so our guests were able to experience the full beauty of it. Even better, while we weren't able to use the indoors of the home, we could use the two getting ready spaces that were perfect for our groups. The family who owns the home and the staff that supports the venue were extremely helpful throughout the day. They were welcoming and supported us in getting the fire pit area ready for our DJ (e.g., getting the power set-up), answering any questions we had, assisted our planner in getting the vendors situated, and circled the property in advanced to ensure everything looked its best. Beyond this, they allowed us to use their dryer when one of our ring bearers had a pool accident in full wedding attire! All in all the Whimsical Key West House was exactly what we wanted for our big day!

The venue is stunning . The backdrop for our ceremony was magical. As an outdoor venue, this has a lot of space and options. We used the firepit for a late night smores bar, the pool area for cocktail hour, and the lawn for the reception. Santi was also very kind the day of and assisted my husband, making sure he was well taken care of. The owners of the venue even called him to ask how we were enjoying our day. Very thoughtful.

Where do I begin?! The venue is an absolute dream. The owners, Xiomara and Ramon are the best! They are both extremely kind and accommodating. The venue is kept in perfect condition, truly looks out of a magazine. All my guests were shocked with how beautiful the location was. I can't say enough good things about it! I'd do it all over again if I could.

This place is absolutely stunning! I had my wedding there 3 weeks ago and everyone I know is still talking about it. The owners are extremely accommodating, whether it's the color of the pool light or moving their furniture around. They want your special day to be as magical as it can be and this place will definitely do that. The bistro lighting is beautiful and the trees are light up. Breath-taking doesn't quite cover it. It was a joy to work with Xiomara and Ray and I would recommend this venue for anyone who wants their wedding to be memorable and spectacular.

Whimsical Key West House , one of the best place for a wedding. We found Whimsical while looking 2 days before the wedding for a location. Xiomara and Ramon did everything to accomodate our weddding event . They were also with us the day of the event to make sure that everything went smoothly from moving furniture to helping us achieve the perfext vision we had for our event. We could not have done this event without them. I recommend Whimsical for its magical ambience, for its lush greenery, for the passion the owners have to make you feel at home . Without hesitation we will plan another event there .
