Whimsical Light Photography

e “Where are we meeting again”, “What time do I need to be at the salon?”. I am a highly organized person when it comes to appointments and especially my wedding so it was a little disconcerting that she didn't take the same care for our big day. On the wedding day, she showed up the the salon and took photos of me getting ready. She did not take any of my bridal party getting hair and makeup done but instead spent her down time sitting around reading magazines and asking me questions about myself that I had already told her. My bridesmaids were so put off by her that morning that they actually took pictures of her sitting on the floor of the salon with People Magazine in her hands. The rest of the wedding day ran pretty smoothly. Someone had to go find her for the garter toss but I understand that there is a lot to photograph at a reception so I didn't give that a lot of thought. She stayed late, as she promised, and took photos until I told her she was okay to go. About 3 weeks after our wedding, I requested 2 or 3 photos to use for wedding thank yous. She responded right away and then took a week to actually send anything. However, I understand that these things take time and we received them edited very nicely. On May 24th, Myrian told us that the rest of our images would be ready and we could set up a meeting. I emailed her a few times trying to set something up and finally received an email back saying that the would be finished the following day and she would just put the disk in the mail. We didn't end up receiving the photos until June 11th, which was 2 and a half weeks after the promised date. As soon as I loaded them I realized that she did not even take into consideration my requests from our original meeting. In my opinion, the whites are very blown out and the images are over saturated. She also missed a lot of important parts of our day, most of them that I included on a checklist for her to make sure they were photographed. The only ones that were edited are the ones we received for our thank you cards. We expected the images to look like our engagement photos as far as editing and they looked nothing like them. When I tried to express these concerns to her, I received nothing in response. It took 4 emails and 2 phone calls to finally get any kind of response. Her email back to my concerns was snarky and rude and she never offered any kind of apology for ignoring our concerns, not responding or disregarding my requests from our first meeting. We finally came to the conclusion that a refund of $500 and all the original images (without images cut out) would be a reasonable solution. She refunded me the $500 the following day, very quickly via paypal. However, this agreement was established on July 8th, almost a month ago and I have still not received my raw images. I emailed her and called her with no response. I give up, I really wanted to end up happy with my wedding photos but working with Myrian has been a nightmare. Her customer service is honestly the worst part of all. If she would have been courteous and responsive, I would have cut her a lot of slack but this is just unacceptable. Please do yourself a favor and spend a little more for a decent person to photograph your wedding. I really wish we would have.

The photos are STUNNING and her ease working with my fiance and our playful dog completely relaxed me. Her photojournalistic approach captures true emotion in her photos, making them genuine and authentic. We are getting married in less than 8 months and I look forward to seeing what spectacular work she will do for our big day! I would 100% recommend Myrian, she really is a gifted photographer.

r awkward. She is so easygoing and worked with me to pick out the perfect outfits and poses and was able to work around my schedule. NOT to mention the pictures themselves - they turned out incredible! I was so pleased with everything about them from the lighting to the angles. I would highly recommend her for anything photography, her work is beautiful!
