Meet Emmy – The Heart Behind Whip It Good
Emmy’s love for cooking runs deep. Growing up with a mom who was always in the kitchen — and well-known for her incredible food — it’s no surprise that Emmy eventually found her way into the culinary world. It just took her 35 years to realize it was her true calling.
In November 2020, Emmy launched Whip It Good from the kitchen of her townhome. What began as a side hustle to support her family as a single mom quickly grew into something more. She started by offering hot, homemade family meals to-go, and just six months later, she moved into her first commercial kitchen. That leap of faith allowed her to leave her social work job and pursue her passion full-time.
It’s been a journey filled with blood, sweat, tears — and plenty of doubt — but Emmy wouldn’t trade it for anything. She’s incredibly proud of how far Whip It Good has come and is beyond excited to keep growing and serving her community.
These days, Emmy lives just outside of Indianola with her husband and their beautiful blended family of three teenagers. Life is just a little bit busy — but also full of love, laughter, and of course, really good food.
