ust icing on the cake for us (my family loves old restored buildings). For our wedding we wanted something that was both elegant and classic but also had plenty of beautiful places for pictures. This was the place. The space can truly be made to fit any theme. We utilized the entire venue from the fields, the pole barn, the 1822 house, and even the woods. In fact, when we said we wanted to have our wedding in the woods, Anne said “no problem” and helped us make it happen by spending a day cleaning the area and the entire walk to the spot. When I said I wanted to bring my horse to the venue for the wedding she said “of course! What time will she be here?”. They truly made it a dream come true. Lastly, the venue coordinator (sorry don’t have her name), made the day of run so smoothly. When she met my elderly grandfather she helped him with everything he needed and even said “my job is to take care of you”. That was just going above and beyond and meant the world to me. My grandpa just couldn’t stop talking about her and what a great help she was. I would have a wedding here again in the heartbeat. Nothing could have been better about the owner, workers, venue, or anything.

We had a mid July wedding and while it was definitely warm it wasn’t near as hot as we expected. The air conditioned entry/bathroom/kitchen spaces was great to have for some of our guests to chill when they needed to cool off. The grounds the venue sits on are very well kept and so beautiful. It gave us many options for photos. We booked the venue for two full days so that we could decorate and set up the day before as well as hot our rehearsal dinner there. I would highly suggest this if you are wanting to decorate the venue yourself. It was also very well priced compared to other venues in the area. We booked the venue about a year and a half in advance and had great communication with Anne all the way leading up to the wedding. We could not of picked a better place to create our special day!

The venue is beautiful on its own then they have a closet full of decor you can borrow! All on site and all on trend! It was incredible the things you can pick from and it’s already there, no transporting it or figuring out what to do with it after the wedding. Saved us thousands! Our pictures which are now our cherished memories from the wedding are gorgeous because the venue is gorgeous! I cannot say enough good things about whippoorwill! And our deposit was back to us within days after the wedding! They are on it and exceeded our expectations!

imely manners, and always had an answer for me. The farm itself is breathtaking. Despite having animals nearby, the venue did not smell. We booked a Sunday wedding, which is the buggest bang for your buck. Though city ordinances basically have us cut off the event at 8:00, we still had the venue until 10:00, which gave us plenty of time to clean up. The venue also provides an enomous amount of rustic-themed decor that we used free of charge. This is by far the best decision we could have made on a venue. We loved it!

Nice and secluded and well maintained to provide for the feel. We got married outside with the reception inside and both settings were stunning. Everything was so straightforward throughout planning and the venue could not have been prettier. Wouldn’t have wanted to get married anywhere else!

to keep the barn doors open during the reception so guests felt more comfortable given the pandemic and air circulation. We did our first look at the cute little white barn right next to the venue which was super cute but also convenient. Anne (the venue owner) was SO great to work with- she answered all of my questions and gave me many great tips to make the day flawless. I was able to save some money on decorations by using some of the hurricanes and decor at the venue. Overall - there is really not one thing i would change about our wedding day and experience with whippoorwill hill. AMAZING!

Anne and her family devote so much time to making the farm look absolutely beautiful and it definitely shows. We also could not have been more pleased with the responsiveness and flexibility of Anne. She helped us trouble shoot problems and was quick to answer any questions we had. She made us and our guests feel safe while providing sanitizing stations and suggesting floor layouts to abide by social distancing guidelines. Our wedding was a dream and exactly what we envisioned the day looking like. We could not recommend this venue enough!

Then that New Year’s Eve he proposed! One of the first things I planning is finding your venue! And I knew exactly where I wanted to marry my best friend. At the beautiful farm where I grew up. And that’s exactly what I did. A year and 10 months of planning came and went. On a hot October day, I had my dream wedding, marrying the love of my life, on the breathtaking farm I know and love. I had my first look with my dad at the old red barn where I used to sit and watch him work. It has came so far since the beginning and Bill would be so proud. There is no other place I would’ve wanted to share so many memories at that I will cherish forever. Whippoorwill Hill will always hold a special place in my heart.

I am so glad that we chose Whippoorwill Hill for our wedding and I am excited to see this relatively new venue become one of Bloomington's go-to wedding locations!

She helped us with everything from suggesting vendors to planning the layout of the barn for the day of. She and her family are truly an added bonus with this venue. Something my wife and I considered before booking any vendor for the wedding is how easy they would be to work with - with Whippoorwill, you hit it out of the park! We had a gorgeous venue and an amazingly beautiful wedding and truly feel like we have made lifelong friends with the owners, as well. If you are looking for a barn wedding in the Indy area, Whippoorwill Hill is absolutely one that you should look into! Great venue, great people, great choice!

We had our ceremony right outside the barn and it was perfect. The reception was held in the barn and minimal decorating was even needed due to how naturally pretty the venue already is! We HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone planning a bloomington wedding. We might be biased now, but it’s the best there is! 5 STARS!

venue is it has that nice secluded elegant yet rustic feel, but it is also only about 15 minutes away from Downtown Bloomington. It fit the best of both worlds. Whippoorwill offers packages for 1, 2, and 3 day rentals to handle any type of event. We ended up renting the Barn for Friday and Saturday to help simplify the amount of setup the day of, which was very helpful. The cost for these 2 days at Whippoorwill Hill was still less than the cost of 1 day as most other venues! The only complaint we had is that we were responsible for cleaning up the venue the same night as our wedding. This involved wiping down all the tables and mopping the whole floor, despite the fact that there were no noticeable spills. More importantly, we were not told the details of what was expected of us until a few days before our big day. We’ve spoken to Anne about this and she said she’s taking steps to avoid this issue in the future. Overall, we had a wonderful wedding and we highly recommend Whippoorwill Hill for any event!

After stumbling upon their website I immediately fell in love with their deconstructed venue--although this is no longer the set up, each renovation of the barn has been handled with great care, love, and overall professional craftsmanship. I would highly recommend this venue for any wedding ceremony/reception seeing as the barn can handle rain, shine and snow--I would know, it snowed on the wedding day but still kept everyone comfortable and it looked fantastic! Anne, the owner of the barn, is such a lovely person to work with and will do her absolute best to make your ideal wedding become a reality!

I enjoyed the various areas that were set up in the outbuildings. The kids had a place to play and the adults had a place to party! The hillside where the wedding ceremony took place was scenic, comfortable, and help create the most gorgeous wedding photos! I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a unique, secluded, gorgeous wedding. A++
