Me and my now husband got married here in the fall of 2023 and it was the experience of my dreams. I was never a person who thought about weddings growing up and honestly the whole...
idea at first when I got engaged overwhelmed me.
Thanks to Kelly and everyone at Whistling Wren Farm, they made the experience as easy, painless, and fun as it could be. Weddings of course come with so much stress, but they were there every step of the way. Me, my now husband, and our families were supported through the entire process and Kelly was on top of everything! I couldn't have asked for a better wedding. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Lots of love,
Sam and Josh
Whistling Wren will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Kelly and her crew went above and beyond for my husband and I. Whatever we needed and whatever we wanted we got. The...
y wanted the focus to be on the couple and to make sure to capture the idea and dream for the couple. They also took the time to get to know us on a personal level and made it clear how much they care about their couples.
Kelly also provides a bunch of neat and gorgeous decor like finished whiskey barrels that guest used to hold drinks and just looked stunning. Whistling Wren Farm was rustic, intimate and just overall perfect for our wedding. We would pick this venue all over again if we had to.
The venue itself is gorgeous and we got so many compliments on the venue from our guest and the so many people wanted to take photos inside the barn and by the fireplace.
If there were any suggestions or any recommendations; the bridal suite is a tad small, so if you have a large bridal party like I did, the earliest you can arrive the venue is 11am so I highly recommend renting a spa for hair and makeup to be done.
But besides that, Kelly and her crew our a part of story and will forever be a part of our family.
The venue was lovely, the bride and groom suites created from stalls were unique and cozy. The outdoor fireplace was gorgeous and made the ceremony so special. It was unfortunate t...
hat the couple was prevented from having their last dance due to a disagreement that got heated between the DJ and the venue owners who then abruptly turned on the lights and ended the reception, very bewildering to us all. No apology or explanation was issued that may have decreased our dissatisfaction. We also would recommend installing permanent bathrooms (the luxury portable toilets were better than expected) and providing heat in some way. We also had feedback from guests that the venue owners felt a bit overbearing and intrusive at times.
Getting married at Whistling Wren Farm was everything I dreamed of for my wedding day. First, Kelly is the most organized and loving person. I couldn't have asked for a better venu...
e owner. She is always willing to answer your questions and welcomes everyone with open arms Second, the property is just GORGEOUS. From the fire place and outdoor area, to the amazing chandelier inside, you have to go visit to truly understand the beauty. This family owned barn has a wonderful background story and it was such a fun/special place to start our own story. Highly recommend working with Kelly and getting married at Whistling Wren Farm.
My Husband and I are both thankful and blessed to have found Whistling Wren Farm for our wedding this past May 22nd. I’ve always wanted a southern/ rustic themed barn wedding and s...
tarted my journey well over a year ago. We went to many barn venues in Maryland and even one in Virginia but sadly we were met with very unfriendly owners who acted as if they didn’t care to welcome us or they were just super unfriendly. When we met Kelly it was a completely different story, Kelly was an absolute delight, she was friendly, kind and super welcoming! Whistling Wren Farm is such a beautiful venue from the bridal/ groom suites to the outside chimney we were married in front of and of course the beautiful chandelier on the ceiling of the top floor of the barn. Whistling Wren Farm isn’t just a venue but it’s a beautiful family farm with heart warming history. Kelly treats her brides and grooms just like family and even checked on us throughout the 9 months of planning leading up to our wedding. Kelly was/has been there for us and we truly appreciate all that she and her amazing family have done for us. On our wedding day we had a few hiccups(not because of whistling wren farm at all) but my Family along with Kelly, Lee, and Adam went above and beyond to help in anyway they could and even after it was over they helped us out so much and for that we are forever grateful and will never forget how wonderful they were. Our wedding day was a dream come true thanks to all the amazing work everyone put in. My husband Chris and I feel like we have definitely become apart of the Whistling Wren Farm Family! 💕🤵🏻♥️👰🏾♀️💕
Our wedding was perfect: rustic sophistication in a beautiful natural setting

ed the bridal and groom’s suites for getting ready. The men even got to enjoy a full-length antique shuffleboard while the women had ample room to relax with mimosas. Our beautiful, overcast fall day was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony in front of the absolutely gorgeous fireplace (which had a beautiful fire for cocktail hour!). When the weather turned to rain in the evening, we had the warm shelter of the elegant barn for our reception and dancing. The venue was the perfect size for our 100-person wedding.
There is something truly special about this venue. It’s true, there are many barn venues in the area, but the unique family touches infused by the owner, Kelly Drosdak, really made the venue stand out to us, and made all of the difference on our day. We have an absolutely stunning wedding album to prove it! As many brides would agree, there are more than a few things I wish I could do-over for our wedding, but choosing Whistling Wren is a decision I would make again and again.
We were so lucky to find Whistling Wren Farm for our wedding! Kelly was immensely helpful with planning the ceremony and reception, and periodically checked in throughout the whole...
year leading up to our big day. The venue comes with a lot of optional decor that saved us some money. The property is big enough that we were able to have a bar trailer, patio lounge furniture, and a cigar bar, without guests being squished or having to walk far for anything. Truly the perfect sized venue for a wedding of about 100 people. The day of the wedding we had some hiccups that the Drosdak family was incredibly helpful in fixing! It heavily rained for much of the day, but they kept EVERYTHING clean and dry so our guests were comfortable and able to safely walk around. We also hired a shuttle service to bring our guests in from Frederick that didn't show up, which was a nightmare. Kelly quickly coordinated with all vendors to push the ceremony back half an hour, and we later heard from family that she contacted every shuttle service she knew of to try and find us a replacement on the spot. What could have been a disaster (our guests couldn't get to our wedding!), ended up being fine, thanks to the Drosdaks. I can't recommend this beautiful venue enough!

ect for an indoor / outdoor ceremony and reception. All of our guests were complimenting on how amazing the venue was.
Kelly was an absolute blessing to work with! Whistling Wren is family-owned, and because of this, Kelly and her family are much more inclined to work closely with their couples to ...
make sure that everyone is as happy as can be! Her couples (mostly her brides ☺️) are her top priority. She takes every precaution, and thinks of every little detail, to make sure your wedding day goes off without a hitch!
We found Whistling Wren 11 months before our wedding, and Kelly was always available if I had any questions. She kept us in the loop with renovations she was planning to make, allowed us to come to the venue whenever we wanted (within reason), and made sure we were feeling good about everything along the way.
My only drawback would have to be the guest limit of 98 if you want to use the barn (100 people including the bride and groom), but that’s out of Kelly’s control, and the barn is the focal point of the venue - how could you pass it up?
Our experience with Kelly and her family at Whistling Wren was nothing short of exceptional. She’s knowledgeable, respectful, and truly wants her couples to have the most magical day of their lives, and that’s exactly what she did for us ❤️
Whistling Wren was absolutely the most perfect venue my husband and I could’ve chosen. Not only is it beautiful but the owners are the best too! Kelly was so kind and extremely hel...
pful with each and every planning detail. Each time we visited the venue beforehand just helped us fall more in love with the place. The bridal suite was so comfortable and I was able to get some amazing pictures in there as well. I can not express how much Whistling Wren means to me and my husband now and I’m glad we were able to walk away from this venue with new friends as well.
