White Barn

let me start with BEAUTIFUL barn. loved that. however. if you book with this venue as I did for my Friday October wedding, be prepared for minimal response if any from the venue owners. I still have yet to hear back from Jan (the owner) about valuable items that family members left behind. I will say it is a gorgeous venue, but be prepared to never hear from them again once you sign a contract and hand them a deposit. I hired Jeff Double from All About Reclaimed in Butler PA, and if I didn't have him, my wedding would absolutely have been awful. I cannot recommend him enough, especially as I had no idea about how to get into the barn or what time was appropriate for set up for my wedding, it was the week of my wedding and I had no idea about anything and they werent answering my calls or emails. Lots of unneccessary anxiety and headache, why I only gave it 2 stars, if I had to do it over again, I would go for a different venue.

Our wedding was beautiful, the venue gives a great middle ground between rustic but modern. I remember meeting Jan when we first toured and he was so nice and got a feel for what we wanted. My only complaints are the day of my wedding, there was still left over confetti and dead flowers all over the ground of the ceremony. It was just a little disappointing that nothing seemed to be cleaned up outside. However, we understand weddings are back to back, so it probably is not always possible to clean up the little things like that. In addition, we were a little disappointed that after signing the contract and putting down our deposit...we never heard from the white barn again. I emailed asking a question regarding candles, but never got a response. Kristen, from medures who is the white barn's exclusive caterer, was the most helpful. It was almost frustrating that medures seemed to be the most in charge of the white barn, and all that the white barn cared about was getting the money. The venue itself was great, but it just would have been nice to recieve a call or email a week following up or month leading up to the wedding from the white barn, reassuring me everything was okay. There was so much silence between when the contract was signed to the day of my wedding, that I was terrified no one would be at the venue. It was beautiful. It was what we wanted and more, but a little more communication and effort made from the white barn would help relieve a lot of stress for brides.

I am so happy we chose White Barn for our wedding venue! As soon as I looked through photos online, I knew it was where I wanted to get married. Jan and Cathy were very helpful through the entire process, and were even willing to help us reschedule from our original date due to covid. We had a wonderful tour when we were beginning our wedding planning, and we were also invited to come back to the venue additional times after that to get a better visual to make sure our day was exactly what we wanted. We received so many compliments from our guests as well, and I could not have been happier how our day turned out at our perfect venue.

White Barn was the perfect venue for my husband and I. It's a great mix of the formal wedding feel but still rustic and relaxed. It is such a beautiful setting. Jan and Cathy are great to work with. They answered any of our questions and were always willing to let us come out and see the barn, take measurements, etc. Jan is on site the morning of to make sure everything is set up and perfect for your needs. The bridal suite they have is wonderful and had plenty of room for me and my girls to get ready. You pretty much have to set up and take down the day of your event, so you have to be organized and factor that in, but as long as you have a plan and some help it's pretty easy. We wanted a barn big enough for our wedding and also that was air conditioned.  The air conditioning worked well in July heat and we were easily able to hold over 200 people. The gazebo on the lake and the rest of the grounds are wonderful backdrops for pictures. They have rain plans and everything in place in case you need to switch to a plan B, which was very reassuring to me.  Overall, can't recommend White Barn enough!

We were set to have a fairly large wedding for 5/16/20, but due to Covid we had to postpone. From the start of postponing, Jan was beyond helpful but even more so, he was just so kind, in a time when everything was stressful - let alone replanning everything for such a memorable day. It was after much thought that my husband and I decided to go ahead with the reception on 8/15/20. Again, Jan was helpful throughout the replanning part. It would also be important to note that Medures Catering, were also such a crucial piece to this all and a valuable support!! The combination of White Barn and Medure’s is something I could go on about haha. I cannot say enough about how beautiful this venue is because it speaks for itself. Erik and I would do it over again (minus covid) if we could! The day was more than we both could have ever imagined. Thank you again to such an accommodating venue and for being such genuine owners!

White Barn was perfect from beginning to end! Jan and his team were so helpful and accommodating in answering our questions and making sure we had everything we needed for our big day. Medure’s catering did an absolutely incredible job! Guests still tell us that our food was the best they’ve had at a wedding. Whether you are planning a summer or winter wedding, White Barn is the perfect venue!

I cannot thank Jan and Cathy enough for everything they have done for my husband and I! We were so worried about our wedding this year with the pandemic and they made everything so easy for us!! They were very quick to call and email me any time I had a question and made the planning process a breeze! Anytime anyone asks where they should get married, I will ALWAYS tell them to go to The White Barn!

Jan and Cathy are the sweetest people! Jan is so reassuring and calm, while Cathy responded to all our 1,000 emails promptly. We knew we wanted to book our venue through them, not only because the venue is absolutely breathtaking, but the owners are flexible, accommodating and professional. The barn is gorgeous without even having to do anything to it. We loved the space, as well as the ceremony space. It was also a plus that the barn was air conditioned. It was such a pleasure working with Jan and Cathy! Thank you for helping us make our vision and dream come to life!

The White Barn is the PERFECT wedding venue. We couldn't ask for anything better. Cathy and Jan are so kind and were great to work with from start to finish. They work really well with Medure's catering and always answered all of our questions during the planning stages. On the day of our wedding, the venue had the perfect flow from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. Everything was clean and honestly just perfect! I would recommend the White Barn over and over again to everyone. Thank you Cathy & Jan for having the most amazing wedding venue and for contributing to our perfect day.

The White Barn was gorgeous for our big day! We were able to get in early in the morning and start decorating and the bridal suite was such a great bonus. The pet friendly policy made it so great for our dog to be part of our special day. The barn is so elegant and pretty that decorating was so easy and simple. The flower wall downstairs was a very popular photo spot for our guests. We were able to have the ceremony outside at the gazebo and pond and the setting is gorgeous. Our pictures and videos are so beautiful with the background White Barn has. Communication and contracting was effortless and the owners were very friendly. We would highly recommend the White Barn for any special occasion, but be sure to book fast because slots fill up years in advance!

Our wedding was here on sept 28,2019. It was the best day of our lives and absolutely magical. Jan was easy to work with and pretty much hands free. What’s nice about this venue is it is a blank canvas to transform into Your vision. Medures catering is the only vendor you have to use but I’m so happy we had them. Medures was amazing as well and the food was delicious. Other than that you have free rein to choose the vendors you prefer. Our guests loved our venue and talked about how beautiful it was. I think the set up of it is perfect with the gazebo and pond outside for the ceremony, the downstairs of the bar for cocktail hour as well as the outside patio and upstairs barn area for reception. The basement also has a bridal suite for the girls. It was perfect and was exactly what we wanted.

White Barn was everything I wanted for my dream wedding venue and more! I could not have asked for a smoother, more carefree experience with them, not only on my wedding day, but the months leading up to it as well! Jan was always available for us to answer an questions we had and to work with us so that everything could be exactly what we wanted. All of my guests raved about how beautiful the property was, and we couldn't have agreed more. I highly recommend the White Barn to anyone looking for a beyond beautiful location that is stress free and that your guests will love!

The venue is true perfection and has so much character and natural beauty. Jan is very responsive and let us walk through the barn a few times leading up to our big day and answered all questions promptly. The gazebo is the perfect ceremony view but there is an inside option as well. The barn is air conditioned so guests will appreciate that in hot summer months. There is a spacious bridal suite for your girls to get ready. The venue uses an exclusive caterer and they together will make sure you have the best day. We have received so many compliments from guests on our venue, its beauty, and accessibility. The venue truly made our entire event and we are so thankful we chose White Barn.

White Barn was a perfect venue!!! Jan and Cathy are great to work with and make what can be a pretty stressful process so easy. The venue is stunning (inside and outside) and our guests could not stop commenting about how beautiful everything is. Luckily the rain held off for our outdoor ceremony, but a huge perk was the ability to quickly move the ceremony inside to the barn if needed. The price is also quite reasonable for all that you get! 10/10 recommend White Barn to everyone!

The White Barn has been absolutely amazing since day 1. We booked them 2 years out since we were set on an October date, and from their Christmas vendor open house (which is amazing!!) to letting us come visit whenever we asked, the staff was so accommodating and willing to work with you to make your day perfect. Jan and his wife are such joys to work with and want your day to be as easy going and stress free as possible. on top of the great service, the cost was very budget friendly and reasonable. the location is also very convenient. I would 100% recommend the barn to anyone and am so happy we chose this venue for our wedding. it was perfect!!

We loved the white barn! It was a beautiful location and a beautiful venue! Jan was super helpful throughout the entire wedding process and we were able to put our own decorations up to make the barn look awesome. It was a beautiful ceremony! Many guests commented on how they liked the multiple areas where they could hang out. We had the dance floor, the deck and a fire pit. Everyone loved the venue and enjoyed their time at the white barn!

We couldn't be happier to have chosen the White Barn for our wedding ceremony and reception. We had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. They were very accommodating with everything we requested. Definitely recommend for a classy, barn venue.

This place is remarkable. I can't put into words how beautiful this place is for a wedding. I just had my wedding here last night and the owner and his crew go above and beyond to make your special day perfect. My husband and I were married at White Barn on Friday, August 26th and we could not have chosen a better place for our special day. From start to finish, Jan was helpful and very responsive. Guests were impressed with the beautiful location, the food, and the service. Photographs at this venue are fabulous, no matter the angle. While we had many personal touches, the barn requires very little decoration and is gorgeous on its own. There was also peace of mind knowing that if we needed to last-minute move the ceremony inside due to weather, it would be fine. White Barn is the best of both worlds--you have the charm of a "rustic barn" setting, with the ease of indoor plumbing and air conditioning. The catering at White Barn by Medure's Catering is fantastic. Pete Medure is also very responsive and extremely helpful throughout the planning process. His staff went above and beyond on our wedding day to make sure everything was just right. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day such a success!

Love the White Barn. The weather turned out nice and we were able to have our ceremony outside. It was beautiful, the cocktail hour in the lower level and the reception upstairs was so much fun and the barn was gorgeous. Everyone loved how beautiful it was I got comments about it all night.

we were looking for a barn wedding and couldn't find exactly what we were looking for with other barns in the area. The second we stepped into the white barn we were in love. Everything was modern but rustic at the same time; the gorgeous chairs and string lights were included too. Jan (the owner) was incredibly helpful and responded quickly to any requests via emai or phone. Our guests loved the venue. The great rain plan put me at ease (even though we didn't need it) but it was awesome to have a backup plan that didn't include "waiting it out". Overall incredible wedding, due in large part to this venue. Would do it again in a heartbeat

If you're looking for a beautiful barn wedding and you want THE BEST, then look no further than the White Barn! Everyone was raving about how beautiful the barn was and what a perfect venue - with the pond in the back and the white chairs set up by the pond for the ceremony it was literally a fairytale! The barn has beautiful wood work throughout and the bathrooms are even gorgeous! Plenty of space for guests to dance- we had 194 and there was more than enough room! The scenery for photos is beyond pretty! And the owner is so wonderful to work with! Would highly recommend!

Attended a wedding here this Summer and what a different venue and wonderful time we had. Totally different and beautiful. Lovely view over the lake and fireworks in the evening were spectacular following the fantastic sunset. Food was superb and so was the service. Hope to attend another affair at The White Barn.

This place certainly has potential. After reading and seeing a five star rating here on the knot, I was excited to attend a wedding at The White Barn. Set on a nice piece of land, with a lake in the back behind the barn. The lake is a beautiful backdrop for lots of pictures, especially at sunset. The barn itself has an okay setup. The main floor and downstairs were comfortable and spacious. There is an upstairs loft for more seating. My husband and I walked up the right side of the stairs to find our table. There was only one table. I suppose that could be good or bad, depending on the company. We found that that was not our table, so we walked down and then back up the left side, where we found our table along with six other tables tightly crammed together. Searching for our table was just one indicator of the lack of good service at this venue. The wait staff initially ignored guests, as they walked around with their trays of Hors d'oeuvres, until I heard a gentleman call one of them out by saying, "We must be the invisible ones. Will you please come over?" Little did he know, he was not alone. When I did snag a taste, it was a disappointment. Scallops wrapped in bacon (one of my favorites), tasted like a chewy mouthful of grease. The bruschetta was the worst I've ever had, and something that is pretty hard to mess up. I also disliked the bar's plastic drink glasses. I was a bit surprised when I took my first sip. The plastic was uncomfortable to drink from, so I had to drink with a stir. My husband found it odd that the bartender asked if he wanted his rum and coke chilled. Really? A room temperature rum and coke. As for dinner, another disappointment, but after cocktail hr, we expected it. There was a buffet, and nothing was labeled. We are still wondering what kind of awful fish we had tried. I don't like writing negative reviews, but I just had to share our experience. It really does have the potential to be a wonderful venue. We were overall disappointed in the food and the staff. If we ever get invited to the white barn for an event, I highly doubt we will attend.

The White Barn, in Prospect, PA is THE BEST venue around. It is the most reasonably priced barn in western PA. Pete Medure and his staff are wonderful and make the whole process of planning to the big day easy, and AMAZING! The food is unbeatable (as our guests said, "THE BEST they've ever had at a wedding")!! I would highly recommend this venue to any newly engaged couple looking for a rustic chic venue.

I LOVED picking White Barn for my wedding location. I decided to have the ceremony outside by the pond and my reception and cocktail hour inside. The barn is gorgeous and all of my guest raved about it the whole night. However, outside the barn isn't the prettiest it could be. I ended up moving my ceremony site that morning because there was no grass growing. But this is also a new venue so I can't wait to see it grow! Working with Jan was also a pleasure, he is very sweet and always willing to answer questions. The venue is run by Medure's Catering.

I would recommend the White Barn to any bride who wants a Rustic feel to their wedding. The White Barn is PERFECT. There is an exclusive caterer who doubles as your reception planner. I was so pleased with my wedding, I could not expect anything more!
