From the moment we stepped on the property, we knew that White Fence Farm was where we wanted to have our wedding/reception.
We wanted a traditional setting for our wedding but wanted our reception to have a comfortable feel where everyone could come together and enjoy the atmosphere and each other’s company. The farm was the perfect location for an all-in-one event.
We also rented the Farmhouse and it was great for housing elderly parents who needed to be close and was large enough for the wedding party to use to get ready the day of the event.
Denise and Fulton were very professional and responsive to all inquiries and offered a lot of insights on vendors to use in the area.
The recent addition of ‘Lovin’s Loft’ was the perfect staging area for the bridal party (and amazing pictures).
I can’t say enough positive things about our experience at this location and our communications with the owners. Exceptional from beginning to end!
Absolutely amazing! You get the entire 105 acres to yourself plus the farm house the day of and that night. There are cows on the mountain sides. We LOVED it! The owners were super sweet and helpful! We stayed from Thursday to Sunday. It is an amazing view! Worth every penny!!

White Fence Farm in Trade, TN, is a gorgeous rustic wedding venue set in the lush countryside and mountain ranges of the region. This space is easily accessible and just 15 minutes away from the town of Boone. White Fence Farm is owned and run by Denise and Fulton Lovin, who are both long-time Boone residents. They opened the farm in 2012.
In this beautiful and secluded location, you and up to 300 guests will have the opportunity to enjoy stunning views while you celebrate one of the most important milestones in your life. The farm is situated on 105 acres of rolling hills with a naturally occurring bowl-shaped amphitheater, perfect for a wedding ceremony. Surrounding the farm are lovely springs, a fish pond, cow fields, walking trails, and wildflowers. You can make use of the available stage, which is complete with a dance floor ready for you and your loved ones to dance the night away. The magnificent team at White Fence Farm will have tents ready should you wish to add more seating and dining space to the already available barn. If you and your wedding party would like to spend a few days before or after the festivities at this wonderful grange to relax and unwind, the farmhouse comes with three bedrooms and two airstreams for on-site lodging. Other spaces on the property can be used as accommodation, including the hotel.
This enchanting venue will delight your nearest and dearest, whether you want to decorate the area to match your unique vision or would prefer to keep it simple and leave the space as it is. We live in Boone NC and have hosted weddings for the past 12 years at our venue in Trade TN. We also own vacation rentals in the heart of downtown Boone on King Street. We have been married for 27 years and celebrated our wedding in the area as well, on Watauga Lake. We are proud of our farm venue and constantly adding fun and beautiful features. Denise is a psychologist as well and has a private practice, while Fulton owns student apartments at Appalachian State. We love the mountains and proud of what we have created in this beautiful area. We keep our prices affordable so that we can share this space with those who love rustic, natural settings as much as we do.
