I am afraid words cannot describe my feelings for White Gates Farm! Eleven Stars! I came for the pizza and music, fell in love with the garlic sauce, and stayed to get married! Far...
more than a wedding venue, White Gates has for decades been the Letarte's family-run farm. You can find them on the weekends in the Tamworth markets with their fresh farm products. They host pizza nights at the farm with local musicians playing in the picnic area--great for families to get out and relax on a weekend. I go as often as I can. It's the best pizza in the region--straight out of their woodfired oven using dough from a local bakery with fresh ingredients from the farm! I love pizza and I'm from New York so I think my opinion counts. They also have a great business hosting several small bnb cabins. We used those for our wedding guests who needed somewhere close to stay for the weekend. And it made the farm feel even more like our own home for the celebration. The kids loved roaming the farm and seeing the animals: chickens near the yards, and piglets in the woods, and cows in the fields. The adults appreciated having the antique truck and bar cart serving drinks in multiple areas.
I think Hank and Heather love to host. They are the definition of "hands on" with every aspect of the wedding logistics. Heather planted a specific order of vegetables and flowers to be ready for our reception. Hank cleared the field in the exact location we picked for our ceremony. He shuttled people who needed it in his golf carts. AND they cook the pizzas themselves!
The wedding coordinator staff and vendors they connected us with: (Sheena and Showcase Events) were so helpful and easy to work with. And Hank and Heather were able to help us find other resources nearby because they are so deeply connected in Tamworth.
I would not hesitate to have a second wedding here again, if I could!
If you want to get your own sense of the place and people anytime: just stop by and pick up some of their fresh produce, meats, and sauces from the farmstand; Definitely hang out on a pizza night; Or book yourself a night in the cabins--if they are available. You won't want to go home!
The perfect White Mountain pastoral setting to fall in love and tie the knot! My husband and I both already loved hiking in the White Mountains and we fell in love with each other ...
doing just that. So we wanted to get married with a beautiful view of the same place.
We started planning our wedding just before the Pandemic, so when we finally got to it, we knew we had to keep everything outside. White Gates Farm has so much space to share and we used the different areas at different times of day so it could still feel intimate. We had an area with games for the kids to play, a band under the little shed on the picnic lawn and drinks on the bar cart and bed of the antique truck. But while it offers a range of versatile options as a venue, what we loved most of all was it's natural beauty and authenticity as a real working farm, a place that felt like home, rather than just a venue.
This was the perfect venue for a real Northeast wedding. The property and views are spectacular and the hosts graciously met our needs. Having a wedding on a working farm provide...
d a wonderful experience for us and our family. We were married on White Gates Farm 7 years ago and it was a dream come true. Since then the Letarte family has worked hard to make the farm even more equipped to make your dream wedding a reality. I highly recommend taking the time to visit White Gates Farm and see if it is the right fit for you.
