Hey there! My name is Claire White, and I’m the hand and the heart behind White Ink Calligraphy. I started practicing pointed pen calligraphy in 2014, and my love for all things hand-lettered has continued to flourish (pun intended) since then. I can put calligraphy on just about anything, and I would love to get creative and find new and exciting ways of incorporating calligraphy into your event. On my website, you’ll see where my work has been showcased—from local weddings to destination weddings, from family gatherings to corporate events. I have a special place in my heart for brides and being part of their big day. And, yes, I live in Nashville, Tennessee—also known as the bachelorette party capital of the world! I tell my brides that the envelope and invitation set the stage for their big day, giving their guests the first glimpse of what is to come. I’d love to assist you in creating a custom calligraphy suite for your invitations and envelopes—and everything beyond! For local brides, I’m located in East Nashville and would be happy to meet in person. Outside of calligraphy, I’m an attorney who practices law in the public sector. I’m a native Nashvillian (#unicorn) and have enjoyed seeing how this town has grown over the years. I love supporting other local and female-owned businesses, and I collaborate with other female entrepreneurs as much as possible. My trusty assistant, Remy, a ten-year-old golden retriever, is always by my side.

with. They welcome the client's input, and bring just an unreal amount of creativity to the project. They took my small idea and turned it into a wedding invite suite that my entire family is still talking about...everyone even kept the envelopes because of the beautiful calligraphy! Our wedding day signs included a bar sign printed on linen and a bourbon tasting guide engraved on wood. I mean... how cool is that?? All because of the vibes I told them I was going for. Don't over think it -- make a consult with White Ink and I promise you'll never regret it. Oh, and go ahead and order their cute "Santa Letters" for the precious littles in your life. My flowergirl is going to LOVE her "nice list" letter!

you! I only wish that I could write words as beautifully as Claire can create them! She is, without a doubt, one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She is Nashville’s best calligrapher for weddings and all special events, and I could give you a thousand reasons why. All her work is gorgeous, personally tailored to your specifications, and made by someone who somehow has a ridiculous balance between creativity, professionalism, beauty, and heart. But most importantly- her work/ White Ink Calligraphy’s work is TIMELESS. On your 20th, 30th, or I don’t know- hopefully you’re 70th wedding anniversary, you’re undoubtedly going to look back on things you would do differently. But I can promise you that you will never look back on Claire’s work with regret. I’m already getting “over” our wedding invitations. But I still look at Claire’s envelopes and signage for our wedding with fangirl eyes. Multiple guests wanted to know who had done the beautiful calligraphy on the envelopes. She is great at communication - I ALWAYS received a response promptly!
