As part of my wife and my 25th anniversary celebration, we had Daryl take photos to remember the occasion. He was great to communicate with and seems to be a nice, easy going person. He did a great job getting nice backdrops for our pictures that included some of the early color of the fall season. We are very pleased with the photos he took and highly recommend him.

We could not be more pleased with the excellent experience we had using Daryl for our photo's. He was so great at communicating with us from the moment we first sent him an inquiry all the way through to after the wedding! He really did an excellent job of capturing the important moments from every angle! He was very casual and easy to work with, yet paid close attention to what was going on and didn't miss a thing! Daryl photographed our wedding last weekend, and working with him was awesome. We learned about Daryl and White Mountains Wedding Photography via The Knot, and we loved his photography. We had a few phone conversations before our wedding, and Daryl was easy to connect with immediately. On our wedding day, Daryl's calm, relaxed, and professional demeanor was excellent, as we both were experiencing pre-wedding nerves. Our wedding was a festival wedding on a large property with art installations and a lot of ground to cover, which Daryl was able to capture working independently. We also hired the videographer and the photo booth, which were fantastic. The photos Daryl has sent us thus far are beautiful, and we are delighted with each shot we have seen. Daryl is a kind, professional, and extremely affordable photographer option! He takes nice, classic shots, and gets all the important moments. He was also happy to do any different shots/poses we wanted, not that we had many ideas, but I am sure he would do as many as you would like, and if you have lots of ideas for different shots you would like to do, I think he would be a great option for you! And if you are just kind of simple and go with the flow like my husband and I, he is a good option for you too :) Daryl was very easy to work with, pleasant, and detail-oriented. We had our pictures back within a few weeks, and his affordability allowed us to have a videographer as well for the same price it would've cost us to have just a photographer if we went with any of the other photographers we inquired with.

Daryl was great! The day of the wedding he helped to keep the schedule moving according to plan and made sure to get all the requested photos done. During the planning process he made sure to check in and answer any questions I had as well as offer advice on the timeline. The photos turned out great and came in quicker than expected! A Brides Worst Nightmare I hired White Mountain Wedding Photography, for 2 reasons. 1st reason being his website made it sound as if you were hiring the owner himself and his 30 years of experience. Afterall, he did take my daughter's engagement photos, where he asked her to give him a 5-star rating for discount on her engagement package. This probably should have been a RED FLAG. Unfortunately, I missed it. Another RED FLAG he expected payment in full before we ever saw the end product. You have no recourse if you are dissatisfied. The pictures on the website were impressive. We had hope he would capture the memories of my daughter's wedding day that she would cherish for a lifetime. 2nd reason his business location proximity to the wedding. After we reviewed the memory stick several times, I felt nothing, but heart broken and saddened for my daughter. I could see the disappointment on her face. Out of 1200 or so photos only 34 of which were in focus, this is a 2.83% satisfactory score out of 100% in my opinion. We picked 39 more pictures that were less than good, but better than the rest. 97.17% of the photos were blurry, fuzzy, out of focus and poorly angled. There was NO WOW factor to any of the photos. No Creativity. 1 of the 2 Photographers was not a professional (Kathleen), by the lack of quality. The 2nd photographer was a last-minute tag in due to the scheduled photographer being sick with Covid (Cheyenne) did a better job than (Kathleen) who was the main photographer for the day. As for the videographer (Christine) we saw the backs of people more than we should have. It would have been appreciated if she could have repositioned herself and the camera periodically. The video was shaky and poor quality. The first 10-15 minutes of the video is nice. Out of several hours that percentage isn't great. They were hired to work unlimited hours. But they left before the last dance. Word of advice NEVER pay in full until you receive your finished product with 100% satisfaction guaranteed. We can never go back to recapture the memories of the day. When pay as much money as we did, we expected to be 100% satisfied. Needless to say, 2.83% is not satisfactory and is completely unacceptable. I would like to help a bride and her family hear our experience, check out White Mountain Wedding Photography reviews on the Knot as well as Wedding Wire. Sure, it's easy to look at al the positive ones, but after my experience I went and read the negative reviews and it was as if we had almost experienced the same nightmare. Take the time to be more informed by read both the positive and negative reviews. If you are able to reach out to the person with the negative experience to confirm then do so. Most times the companies pull down the negative reviews.

Daryl and his team allowed us to relive our wedding day over and over again. Not only were they great to work with, but the turnaround time on my GORGEOUS photos was unbelievable. Daryl met with us several times throughout the planning process to find the package that would best suit what my husband and I were looking for. From the first contact Daryl with White Mountain Photography was professional, caring, and communicative. He went above and beyond in communicating with us on late days and via phone, email, and text to guide us through booking our wedding and engagement photos. Day of the photo shoot he eased my anxieties about possible inclement weather and greeted us with a smile at his lovely home. He took us to several phenomenal locations on and around his property with beautiful views. During the shoot he showed us some great shots he captured along the way and gave us great direction on the best poses. He was encouraging, relaxed, and professional from start to finish. My fiancé and I do not usually like getting our photos taken but can honestly say that we enjoyed the experience thoroughly. He captured that wonderfully in the pictures with many of us candidly smiling or laughing. We can’t wait to see him work his magic at the wedding!

Our engagement, family & ceremony photos are wonderful and we will cherish these for a long time. This photographer is difficult to communicate with. My husband and I both emailed them during the planning process and they never used “reply all.” It added annoying and unnecessary steps for us to get the information and plan. They assume the bride & groom know what to expect for portraits. This is both of ours only marriage, so we needed more guidance from the “expert” we hired. When I asked, multiple times, what to expect the day of the wedding, they replied multiple times that I could assume they would get all standard shots. Even when asking clarifying questions, they would not elaborate. However, they didn’t even get them all. He never got my husband’s face during the first look. This was important to us and we can never get this back. The candid (cocktail hour & dancing) photos also leave a lot to be desired. Our wedding was so fun, but you cannot tell from the professional photos.

My fiance and I travel every year to the North Conway area and this year we were looking to get our engagement photos taken during the fall foliage. I found White Mountain Wedding Photography through social media and contacted Daryl Hawk. He was very quick to respond and flexible with our time of the photo session as we were traveling from out of state. He was great to work with and was open to taking any new photo ideas that we came up with. I would recommend him to anyone looking for professional photos.

One of the toughest choices we had to make for our wedding day was to select a photographer. We knew we wanted to work with someone who really understood our personalities and our vision for our wedding day. My fiancé and I had our engagement sitting last weekend with Daryl. We visited his beautiful NH home for our engagement sitting and he made us feel incredibly comfortable and we got beautiful photos as a result! The foliage being at its peak didn't hurt either. My husband and I were extremely happy with the services from Daryl. He was very easy to work with and took wonderful natural candid photos that captured our special day. He has great affordable wedding packages that include more than most others that we looked into. He did an amazing job. We could not have asked for anything better.

Following my wedding, Daryl sent me a flash drive with roughly 560 photos. We hired him for 6 hours. Of those 560 photos, they were out of focus, crooked, and there were actually only roughly 150 different images – meaning over 400 of the photos were duplicates. He sent us 5 photos of our first dance, all out of focus or with our eyes closed. He took 4 getting ready images and 2 venue images total, even though we hired him to start an hour before the ceremony began. He did not take any photos until 30-40 minutes after when he was supposed to begin and has no explanation for what he was doing during that time. There are no photos of my husband or I seeing each other for the first time. A month before the wedding we asked for 8 photos with specific guests, he did not take any of these images. He lacks any creativity. His instructions included: look at the camera, look at each other, kiss. And he did not bother with anything else. After receiving a negative email from me, he informed me his assistant sent me unedited photos and sent me a new thumb drive with corrected images. There were then 530 photos, still roughly 150 different images, still crooked, still out of focus, and still not of the people we asked of. And, the one special moment he managed to capture, our first kiss -- he deleted. So he's either careless or spiteful. Additionally, before the wedding, we spoke on the phone, emailed, texted, and met in person. The day of the wedding he had no idea who we were. Literally introduced himself to me and asked me my name. After the wedding, when we were discussing my negative feedback on the phone, he still did not know who we were. Yet, he kept our credit card number during our entire business relationship and never missed a charge. He even negotiated with me while I was eating dinner at my wedding to stay longer and charged our card on the spot. After our engagement sitting Daryl asked us to post a 5/5 review on google, the knot, and weddingwire so he could win some vendor award. We did it because at that point he had already charged us over half the cost and we wanted to keep a good relationship for the wedding. But not cutting my losses and finding a different photographer was the worst decision. Beware if he asks you to do the same thing. He now has the one good photo he managed to get of us posted to his website for advertising purposes. Don't be fooled!

Darylade the whole process easy and stress free. He was also prompt in responding via email and phone. The week before he went over everything and made everything clear. Had a great experience and the photos came out amazing!

We have hired WMWP for our wedding next year in Pittsburg NH. The package rates were a little to high for what we could afford, so Daryl (the owner) worked directly with us to find a package to suit our needs. We were utterly grateful! We just had our Engagement Sitting last weekend and it was such a lovely time. We have never had professional photos done, so of course our nerves were up. Very glad to have met Daryl at a NH bridal show! My fiance and I are not a photogenic couple, but his photography captured our personalities and brought it to life (even getting those goofy photos!). He is always accommodating, flexible, and very responsive - allowing us to add the photo booth months after we made the initial deposit and putting together an affordable package for the wedding day and engagement photos! Daryl was amazing. He was incredibly flexible, responsive and the quality of his work was phenomenal. We eloped at the summit of Mt Washington so had Daryl and his videographer on standby for 2 days. When day 1 wasn't ideal, he was flexible to switch to day 2. On the wedding day he arrived early, hiked with us at the summit and found amazing spots to shoot. He was flexible and easy going but also very decisive on what would look best. We had a great day and Daryl was integral to that. I cannot thank him enough for saying yes to us!

If you have no idea what to do in front of a camera then you NEED Daryl Hawk as your photographer. We hired Daryl for our barn wedding later this year & his packages include an engagement shoot. My fiance & I are not comfortable in front of the camera, nor do we have any idea on how to position ourselves. Daryl gave us excellent feedback from the very first photo which helped us relax and take awesome photos! Sometimes he would pause to show us our photos in real-time, which would allow us to modify our positioning & take even better photos. With his direction, we were able to relax & have fun while improving the quality of our photos. I can't wait to see how our wedding photos come out, 10/10 would recommend!
