g was good. That said, the day of the wedding, he arrived cranky and lethargic, complaining about how far he had to travel, even though he knew when we hired him where the venue was located. He needed urging to take some photos which I considered standard. For example, the wedding gown on a special hanger in the bridal suite and flower adorned ceremonial site prior to arrival of guests. He underutilized the beautiful venue. For example, there was only one picture taken on the gorgeous staircase inside the venue and only at my request, and there were two beautiful water fountains on the grounds that are not in any photos!! Almost every photo of the wedding party and the families was taken in front of the same trellis and they were all crooked. He failed to spread out the train of my daughter's gorgeous wedding gown so in many of the photos, it just puddled around her feet. Although we received enlargements and the thumb drive with all photos in a timely manner, getting the photo album was a different story. The wedding was in October of 2024, and we just received her album in May of 2026, after countless emails with Christine. Many times it felt like my daughter was getting the run around so I personally called Daryl and left messages. He never even returned my calls, even though he knew he had a disgruntled customer. I would NEVER recommend this photographer, and I hope this review will save other brides from this frustrating experience.

ryl and have hired another photographer for our wedding day. We met Daryl at a bridal expo and he was a little pushy, but I took that as confidence in his work and his abilities. In talking with him he kept saying he was the right photographer for us, but really he never got to know us. On our phone calls he said we were welcome to bring our dog to the engagement shoot, then when we arrived he barely wanted our dog involved- he kept saying put him back in the car. Daryl had us in the sun squinting and did not provide good cues except put our heads closer together and we looked very awkward. He would show us pictures during the shoot and we would say we didn't like them and he would just reshoot the same shot to the point it was not worth giving any feedback during the shoot. He did not try to get to know us or our story, he even called my fiancé the wrong name twice and brushed it off like oh well that was the other guy before you... we just felt like our entire engagement shoot was very transactional and he was trying to rush to give us a speech about the additional things we could buy from him (without transparent pricing). We lost our $600+ deposit because honestly, we did not feel comfortable with Daryl and the photos from our engagement shoot were not what we expected from someone who says they have been in the industry for 30 years. Sure eventually he "gave" us the rights to the only 5 pictures we liked of the 120 pictures he took. But this was not after much negotiating over overpriced not very good photos. He has restarted and rebranded from his CT wedding business, after looking at those reviews, I probably would not have hired him to begin with!

aphy. We had a few phone conversations before our wedding, and Daryl was easy to connect with immediately. On our wedding day, Daryl's calm, relaxed, and professional demeanor was excellent, as we both were experiencing pre-wedding nerves. Our wedding was a festival wedding on a large property with art installations and a lot of ground to cover, which Daryl was able to capture working independently. We also hired the videographer and the photo booth, which were fantastic.
The photos Daryl has sent us thus far are beautiful, and we are delighted with each shot we have seen.

They assume the bride & groom know what to expect for portraits. This is both of ours only marriage, so we needed more guidance from the “expert” we hired. When I asked, multiple times, what to expect the day of the wedding, they replied multiple times that I could assume they would get all standard shots. Even when asking clarifying questions, they would not elaborate. However, they didn’t even get them all. He never got my husband’s face during the first look. This was important to us and we can never get this back.
The candid (cocktail hour & dancing) photos also leave a lot to be desired. Our wedding was so fun, but you cannot tell from the professional photos.

When the actual day of the wedding arrived, he was on-site early, checked in regularly with me for the kinds of shots I wants as my bridal party and I were getting ready, and was very patient while we pushed to get photo-ready. Throughout the evening, he checked in regularly to make sure he was getting candid photos of everyone on our list.
Finally, he touched base the following day to thank my husband and I for working with him for our wedding. I really liked how he went the extra mile to check in with us at each step of the planning and celebration process, including follow-up after the event.
I would hire him again for any future events I have!
