was no other place we wanted to be married at! It is a perfect all-in-one property. Beautifully picture perfect! Everything is all included so you don't have to worry about other vendors for tables, chairs, linens, place settings, etc. (Of course you need to provide your own wedding cakes, florist, and audio people. But, they have a recommended vendor list which we definitely used and made our event even more stress-free!) The food is so incredibly delicious and the drinks are wonderful! Our guests raved about both all night! We even added the Beignet Shooters last minute because we had them at the Spring Bridal show. The wedding coordinators are extremely helpful and made our night flawless. Even in the face of looming rain, they provided me confidence and assurance that everything would be ok. I also want to give a big shoutout to our attendant, Ms. Penny! She is a GEM and such a wonderful and kind woman! She was always on the ball to make sure my husband, my parents, and myself were taken care of! She made our night super special! Working Jordan to book our event was easy, even with COVID date changes! She was very kind & helpful! She is a great face for the property! If you are looking for a romantic but spacious venue for your guests that isn't a hotel ballroom or a little escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, then this is the venue for you! We said YES to White Oak -and we highly recommend that you do too!

y available & willing to help. The best decision we ever made! The catered to our every need & made sure everything happened for us after all the crazy changes & disappointments due to Covid. The whole team went above & beyond for us. We had a lot to do in a short time, but they made it happen. The night turned out better than we could have imagined, not to mention how beautiful it was. Jordan worked so hard to make sure everything I envisioned came to life. She made phone calls to figure out all the last minute vendors we needed just to take some tasks off of our hands. The food is amazing. The staff is unlike any other. (The make sure the bride, groom, and parents are taken care of all night- an awesome bonus) The grounds are beautiful. We are so so pleased with White Oak & would recommend them to everyone!

l know what to do and when to do it! There were a few day of snags that could've been avoided had we met our day of coordinator before our rehearsal, but overall everything was wonderful! Let them know who the parents are, so they know who to take care of. My only piece of advice... Pay for the extra hour! You really do need it! The food was amazing! Our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful everything was.

nowing everything we were supposed to have, and everything we had to constantly remind the few people that were even working to do, my parents didn’t feel like we got what we paid for. We feel as if white oak was more worried about the off site event rather than the event they were having there. There was not near enough chairs for guests at the ceremony, the fire places were not lit, and the heaters that were suppose to be out were not. The families of the bride and groom, plus the bride and groom were suppose to have a personal waitor and none of us did. It is not like my mom to complain one bit but as soon as I got home from the honeymoon she told me how disappointed she was. Overall we had a great wedding. White oak plantation is still beautiful, and we had a great time with all of our friends and family and other vendors but we do not feel as if white oak did their job and we did not get what we paid for. Everyone else that has gotten married here will tell you that it is the best thing ever and everyone was so helpful but we just did not get that help & I do feel like they shouldn’t of booked two big events if they couldn’t handle it.

Not only was our outdoor ceremony just what we wanted, but the indoor space was gorgeous as well. We absolutely loved the covered patio area and so did our guests!

ordan (event manager), Madison (our day of coordinator), and Ms. Penny (day of service attendant) were all wonderful to work with. Even though we only met Madison the week of, it was like she was there the whole time. And Ms. Penny I met right before ceremony started, she was so sweet and always made sure my cup was full. She will also get drinks and food for your's and your spouse's parents. The weather wasn't great for our day (it was muggy and it rained during the ceremony), but that was okay because I wanted to get married under the covered pavilion outside with the fireplace lit. It was definitely a beautiful backdrop! The ballroom is very beautiful too, and I had a great time on the dance floor with friends and family... so much so that my bustle came undone a couple of times. Not to worry, Madison came to my rescue to redo the bustle. At the end of the night, White Oak gifted us with a John Folse cookbook (he owns the property) and sent us and both of our sets of parents home with leftover food. The only things I didn't like were that I couldn't arrive until an hour before the wedding, and at that point it felt rushed because I had to get dressed there, take pictures of getting ready, do first look pictures, and by that time it was already time to line up the procession. I wish they would let brides arrive at least 2 hours beforehand so things don't feel as rushed. The second complaint is that the bridal suite was very hot, I don't think the thermostat worked. However, despite these complaints, I would do it here all over again because it was still perfect. Thanks so much to Jordan, Madison, and Penny for making the day perfect. Edit 11/1/18: I heard from numerous guests that their drinks from the bar did not have a lot of alcohol. However myself, husband and our parents, our drinks were made perfectly (probably because we had a separate attendant making our drinks). I was really disappointed to hear that my guests' drinks were weak since I paid for an open bar, so I am docking one star. Hopefully the bartender is more considerate to future brides.

ginally wanted the ceremony to take place on the front lawn, but due to the rain, it was under the pavilion. It couldn't have turned out more beautiful! The intimacy and beauty of the garden area was perfect. Our attendant was amazing all night, and the entire planning process was made super easy with the help of Jordan and Mary Claire, our wedding day coordinator. Highly highly recommend White Oak as your wedding venue!

unfortunately our Plan B, the covered pavilion was flooded as well. They originally wanted to put it in the house. But because we had 200 guests and I really wanted it moved to the ballroom, they changed it all within 30 minutes. It was absolutely beautiful and they truly do take care of everything that could possibly go wrong on your wedding day. Mrs. Penny took care of us the entire day of the wedding and Jordyn took time to answer every possible question that I could have leading up to our big day. The only negative comment that I have about White Oak Plantation is that they only allow their brides to arrive 1 hour before the scheduled event. Many other venues allow you to have access to the property the entire day of the event or at least more than 1 hour before the event. Had we been able to get there even 3 hours before our event we could have avoided some of the confusion that led up to our rainy wedding. But overall White Oak truly is a great place to get married.

begin with this review... I am absolutely, madly in love with this place and the people that work there. Our wedding was PERFECT from start to finish without a single glitch. And believe me, I am a crazy perfectionist. Jordan was wonderful and very accommodating in each one of our requests, and helped make sure every detail was taken care of, from guests' allergies to the location of the cake in case of rain. Madison was our wedding coordinator on the day of the rehearsal and the wedding. She was hyper-efficient in the most amazing way and even I (crazy super nervous bride obsessed with perfection) was relaxed and could enjoy my and my husband's day without a single worry. Our kids were welcome at WOP and had a blast with everyone. We had a couple server that made us plates of food before we would even seat at our table. The food was outstanding. Everything was cooked to perfection, and even my Italian family loved the food of WOP. The high on the hog was a super hit. Every guest commented on how delicious the meat was, among everything else. Finally, this venue is a dream. The atmosphere is homey but classy and chic. The new veranda located out of the ballroom is the perfect location for your outdoor event. For the WOP staff: We would love to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the PERFECT day we had. You made us feel at home, cuddled and spoiled on a day that we will never forget. Thank you!! he's also one of the nicest and down to earth people I have ever met. The whole staff at white oak stayed on top of everything and made sure everything was taken care of leaving me completely stress free for my wedding. They gave me the wedding I always dreamed of!

They listened to our dream scenario; worked with us on pricing, menu, and logistics; executed everything in an efficient and tasty manner; and were experienced and confident enough to kindly steer me towards what would actually work best for us and our guests, even when I thought I knew better! My guests let us know they loved everything about our Louisiana wedding, from the grounds to the the food to the seamless coordination and execution of the event. My new husband and I even got to enjoy the wedding and ceremony as well because everything was so clearly in good hands on our wedding day that we were able to relax and really enjoy it, which is apparently a rarity among brides and grooms! We were also planning the wedding from the East Coast, so they did a fantastic job to communicating with me and making it all happen through email and phone calls, with my only having to physically be there to go over things when it was convenient for me. I truly appreciated their calmness and professionalism given my detail-frazzled mind, especially as the events drew closer. I was very happy with my experience, and would fully recommend White Oak to other brides and grooms!

They were so helpful in planning every detail of our wedding day and provided some great recommendations for the timing, layout, etc. It rained on our wedding day, but our day of coordinator, Madison, was on top of it and went over all of our options.
