Idyllically placed in the landscape of Morrow, OH, Historic White Oak Farm is a working farm and wedding venue. With a little over 100 acres of land, including meadows and a lake, this location is full of country charms. The White Oak Team takes pride in stewarding the land while creating a place for others to enjoy and celebrate.
Historic White Oak Farm has its roots in the year 1803. The current owners of the location initially grew up in the city but always felt drawn to the peace of the countryside. First-generation farmers, the family employs eco-conscious practices throughout their land. The chickens are free-range, the cattle grass-fed, and wind, solar, and geothermal sources power the farm.
Weddings at Historic White Oak Farm can take place in a number of settings, each with natural backdrops for a sense of rustic elegance. Desiring your day to be a success, the family seeks to maintain good communication with you or your wedding planner. Before you walk down the aisle, you can enjoy the comforts of the Bridal Cottage for getting ready. The pastoral locale has room enough to accommodate up to 200 individuals. There are waterfront settings that feature a romantic dock as well as an apple orchard and pines that are well suited for ceremonies. After, you and your loved ones can retreat to the reception area between the silos and Bridal Cottage. You may use this space with or without a tent. The family enjoys working with couples to transform these outdoor areas to meet your wedding vision. For an enchanting wedding weekend, you can book the Bridal Cottage overnight for up to 8 individuals. In addition, throughout your special day, the farm employs staff to help with setup and parking for a streamlined event.

Booking Historic White Oak Farm was one of the best decisions we made when getting married. Kristen and the entire team were so supportive, easy-going, and accommodating. Not only do they have gorgeous spaces for ceremonies & receptions, they provide incredible extra value for couples - tables & chairs, handsome decor, two spaces to get ready, tent, fire pit, yard games, golf carts. Their hospitality throughout the planning process was exceptional, welcoming us to visit whenever we needed, and they executed things seamlessly on the wedding day. Weather was unpredictable on our day, but they easily moved our event under the tent, and you would never have known that wasn't the original plan. The venue is a little off the beaten path, but it's well worth it. I can't recommend them enough!
We loved our entire experience at Historic White Oak Farm! Kristen and Justin, Teresa and Gary all welcomed us so sweetly to the farm. By the time the wedding came around - we felt like friends and can’t wait to go back to visit! We had a couple of meetings prior and were given a wonderful tour of the property. We were given several options as to where we could hold the ceremony and instantly fell in love with ‘our spot’ by the sunflower field/oak tree/lake. We wanted to use sunflowers in our arrangements so Kristen kept me updated as to how they were growing (mid Sept) so I knew if we needed to order any; otherwise we were able to use their flowers on the property along with a few we had brought along. They had them all cut and in buckets waiting for us the morning of the wedding. We wanted to have a small PA set up so we could have some live musical offerings from friends and family. We thought the driveway would work the best for that but there wasn’t much lighting there. For a small fee they were willing to sting lights over the entire driveway area for us. It worked great as a dance floor too! We were greeted first thing in the morning the day of the wedding and they were all available all day! They worked so hard to make sure the chairs and tables were set up; the area was mowed and trimmed; our ‘vision’ was carried out and if something wasn’t working (like the wind kept blowing our floral arrangements over on the tables) they came up with solutions to make things work! We ran low on beer just before dinner so we were made aware of that and asked what we wanted to do about it. With Covid still a concern we made last minute changes to ensure the safety of our guests and they accommodated every change. Our 12 grandchildren were our ‘wedding party’ and Kristen was right there helping us keep them corralled before going down the aisle. The cabin was a great ‘central’ place for our families to get ready and hang out - also store their belongings. The men’s quarters aren’t as equipped as the cabin so most everyone ended up in the cabin where I was getting ready. Some brides might not like that lack of privacy as much, but it didn’t bother me because it was my family! Teresa was so sweet throughout the day. She would calmly ask if there was anything I needed or could think of that she could help with. This was like having a loving mom at hand! My guests enjoyed the venue and loved meeting Kristen, Justin, Teresa and Gary! They really made everyone feel welcome! At the end of the night they were right there with us cleaning up and helping us. After the wedding as soon as we got back in the cabin, my husband got violently ill (we found out later it was food poisoning from the food the night before!) He was sick all night and finally slept at 5 am. Kristen and Teresa were so understanding as soon as I told them and even though they had another family coming to check out the farm - they told us we could take as long as we needed before we vacated the cabin. That was a life saver as my husband was very weak and it took me three tries to get him in the van to get home! I appreciate everything Kristen, Justin, Teresa and Gary did to make our wedding day the day of our dreams! From the moment we met them we knew we had found the perfect place to have our wedding! We would highly recommend them to anyone! Can’t wait to go back and visit!
I truly cannot say how special this venue is, as well as the people who own it. Kristen and Justin are so unbelievably kind and welcoming and their farm is absolutely incredible. We booked our venue here after touring one other venue and immediately decided that White Oak Farm was perfect for us. The farm is the most beautiful farm we’ve ever seen with the lake, the house and the silos and hay barn as a back drop. With that, the bridal cottage, grooms cabin, silo bar and fire pit are just incredible too. Kristen and Justin were responsive, helpful and so kind. They had other couples who booked their venue but they made us feel so special. We spent our rehearsal dinner and wedding on the farm and myself and my bridesmaids spent the night in the bridal cottage and it was the best weekend of our lives. We received so many compliments at how beautiful and special this place is and we are just so lucky to have met Kristen and Justin and that they allowed us to spend our special weekend with them.
The entire venue has such a warm, welcoming feeling. We fell in love as soon as we turned into the long beautiful tree-lined driveway, but ultimately made the decision after a tour with the owners, Kristen & Justin. They are truly the most genuine, kind, and helpful individuals that made our day so special. Without them, our day wouldn't have been as perfect as it was.
Kristen and Melissa and their entire staff did a an amazing job with our wedding. They made the entire planning process stress free especially considering it was done in under a month. They went above and beyond expectations to make our wedding perfect and exactly as we envisioned it. All of our guests enjoyed the scenic venue and gave compliments for the decor and intimacy of the gathering. If I had to do it all over again I would choose White Oak Farm everytime, without hesitation.
Kristen and Justin are good people and amazing at their craft!! We booked with them only three months before our wedding. They were accommodating, efficient, and diligent. Kristen kept me on track with reminders and touch bases. It was incredibly helpful- especially since wedding planning had my head spinning!!! They provided the chairs and set up my decorations which was something I was unusually worried about. They added small details and decorations that I didn’t even think of- it put the perfect touch on the day! They told me that I should just relax and enjoy my day- and White Oak Farm, Kristen, and Justin were integral in making that come true. The bridal cottage is beautiful. Every guest I had in there commented on how amazing it was. They are building a groom’s suite right now which I’m sure will be equally amazing! Their property is stunning which is what initially what drew me to their venue- photo ops! But it became so much more! Our first venue cancelled on us. Although it was very stressful at the time, it was actually a blessing because I could not imagine having my wedding anywhere else but Historic White Oak Farm. Thank you, Kristen & Justin!!
I’m so excited to get married on this farm. It’s absolutely beautiful!! From the drive down the tree-lined gravel driveway, to the Edison lights strung from the silos - they have ceremony spots overlooking the lake and you can walk right across to the reception area which overlooks the property. This is not a rustic farm, it’s elegant and elevated and has been tended with immaculate care. I’m getting married this Fall and we visited the farm last year in the Fall. The lake and Fall colors were absolutely stunning. It was the perfect inspiration for my color palette and theme! Oh, and did I mention the Scandinavian wood, white & charcoal inspired Bridal Cottage??! It’s PERFECT for photos and hanging out with your bridal party! Justin & Kristin are so down to earth, hard-working and helpful. They’re completely committed to supporting our vision. Which wasn’t that hard because we have such a beautiful setting to work with! I can’t wait to get married and share all our photos - it’s going to be an absolute dream!!
