Colleen tailored my two wedding dresses. She has an incredible attention to detail and was so easy to trust. She also doesn't settle, pointing out tweaks I never noticed but made all the difference. Colleen came highly recommended to me by both my wedding planning and bridal salon. She was absolutely fantastic and made my dress fit like a glove. She was responsive, professional and incredibly accommodating with my crazy work schedule and we made sure that we had time to perfect all of the details in each of my fittings. I was wearing my mom’s veil and she was able to update and clean it so that I it looked perfectly vintage and suited my dress. I absolutely loved working with her and have happily recommended her to others.

I’m so glad I trusted Colleen with my wedding dress. She was recommended by the shop where I bought my dress, The Sentimentalist. She responded promptly to my initial inquiry and scheduling was easy. Before my first appointment, I thought that I didn’t need much done to my dress but she had some great ideas on how to add structure to my dress and make sure there were no unwanted lines. She was easy to talk to, professional, and made me feel beautiful. All my fittings went smoothly and I looked exactly how I imagined on my wedding day. I highly recommend Colleen!

I absolutely loved working with Colleen! The process was easy, simple, and so much fun. She was very excited to work on my gown. My gown is made of organza which is a tricky fabric to work with. Colleen did it with ease and was great about listening to what I wanted while also sharing her opinion with me. She truly knows her stuff and is the best in the Atlanta market!

Colleen was recommended to me by the bridal boutique where I bought my dress. I scheduled an appointment with her as soon as I could at about 5 months out from my wedding date. When I walked in for my first appointment, Colleen asked to see my vaccination card which took me by surprise. I am currently not vaccinated for reasons that are between me and my doctor, and when I told Colleen that she informed me that she wouldn't work with me/alter my dress because I wasn't vaccinated. I totally understand that she runs her own business and has a right to serve who she is comfortable with, but if she decided to put a vaccinated-only policy in place she should have sent an email communicating her new policy for new brides that had already booked appointments with her before that policy was in place - or at the very least include it on her website. I found the lack of communication very unprofessional given that the only thing she did to let her clients know of her new policy was to post a single Instagram story about it. Luckily I was able to find another seamstress in time, but Colleen really left me in a tough position.

White Orchid Alterations is the most wonderful ever! I came to her with a sample dress WAY too big for me two months before my wedding and she absolutely blew me away. I had my perfect dress for my wedding and it fit me like it was made for me. She is so kind and a true master of what she does. Highly recommend.

I am really hesitant to write this review, but I know I must share my experience so other brides don’t experience what was similar to my experience. White Orchid Bridal came highly recommended by someone to me. This person had not personally used them, but recommended it. I decided to go here for my bridal alterations instead of going with the recommendations my bridal boutique had given me. I didn’t need much done to my dress. My dress was custom length and just needed some work on the straps and bodice. My first fitting was great. For my second and final fitting, they allowed me to bring one guest. My guest had to cancel last minute, so I went alone. I showed up to my appointment early, and when it was time for my appointment, they were busy with another client. Apparently some clients were late all day which were causing delays. I waited for about 30 minutes. When I came in, they were very rushed. I tried on the dress, and realized the straps did not fit. They told me they were fine, and when I showed them how big the straps were, they explained when they took the corset in why they were big. In a hurry, they started to sew the straps right then and there. Their next appointment had showed up already and they seemed in a rush and ready to get me out the door. But I had come on time for my appointment. I was also worried about the bustle. They quickly drew up a sketch and forgot to put the outer layer bustle. I tried to Facetime my mom and they really didn’t like that and it was wasting their time. They explained to me it’s an easy bustle and I should get it. They handed me the dress they had just fixed the straps on right then and there and basically walked me out the door so they could get to their next client on time. But I was on time to my appointment so I don’t understand why I had to wait and also be rushed and not get my fitting I paid for. I felt so embarrassed and distraught. I left the store and realized I didn’t even try on my dress after she sewed the straps! That is so unprofessional and I was too mortified to call them back because clearly they were busy. I felt like such an inconvenience. The day before the wedding when my Mother got into town, we spent two hours trying to figure out the bustle. Eventually we got it, but one of the pieces was not included in the last minute sketch they made for us. Wedding day, it was very stressful doing the bustle, we had my mother, planner, coordinator, assistant, and a bridesmaid all trying to work on it. And the straps were still a little loose and dangling throughout the night. I was too embarrassed to call back because they clearly were overwhelmed. I am so lucky that I had other great vendors on my wedding day. This was my only bad experience. This is not how a bride should feel on wedding day, like she is an inconvenience and her bustle is easy so we don’t need to explain it to you because we have other clients and the straps are an easy fix so we can just sew it quickly and hand it to you on your way out. I really hate that I have to write a negative review because this place has great reviews and came so highly recommended, and I know with COVID there is so much going on but I don’t think that is an excuse.

Colleen is an absolute artist! My dress fit decently off the rack and I was hesitant to spend a lot on alterations, but Colleen's vision and creativity convinced me to go with White Orchid Bridal immediately. Her commitment to quality work and perfect detail is evident and I felt like a valued customer throughout the entire process. She was patient, sweet and wonderful to be around. I have a large immediate family and she was welcoming and accommodation when a whole gaggle of sisters tagged along to fittings. TLDR: My dress went from an okay fitting 6ish/10 to a stunning, even more unique 10/10. Worth every penny!

If you want quality work see Colleen! I was recommended to Colleen by a friend. She told me that Colleen was very old school and did most things still by paper and pen (not by email and texts). At first, that kind of made me uneasy with all the stress of wedding planning, but when I met Colleen and learned just how passionate she is about her craft all of my anxiety went out the window. Colleen is so good! She knows her stuff and prides herself on the quality of her work. She will only take enough clients that she knows she can handle appropriately. She will only suggest work that she feels will actually make a difference in the look and feel of the dress. She made my dresses look and feel amazing! She even made me a hair clip from the jewels on my mom’s veil. I can’t recommend her enough! She is amazing! I felt so confident on my wedding day!

Trust Colleen with your wedding dress! I was nervous about the alterations process but she made everything so easy and my dress looked PERFECT. She's easy to talk to, straight forward, and will be honest about what's possible with your dress. She did some extra work to help me incorporate my passed away father into my wedding dress, and she took that very seriously which meant a lot to me. I can't recommend Colleen enough.

I had such an amazing experience at White Orchid Bridal with Colleen! She was a pleasure to work with and I wish I could go to her for all my alteration needs! She handled my wedding dress with such great care. She also provided excellent guidance overall when it came to steaming/bustling/accessorizing. Her new location in the Highlands is just the cutest, and I truly looked forward to all of my fittings. I have the greatest respect for the work Colleen does and how talented she is!

I absolutely love Colleen. I love her brutal, ‘tough love’ honesty. She is an all-star in alterations. I loved that she contemplated the alterations in order to do them in the best way possible - to stay true to the gown. She also brought my dress into natural light so that we could see some discolorations to my sample gown, recommending it be cleaned prior to altering. We also decided not to add cups to the gown to again stay true to the dress and designer. She made my sample gown an absolute dream and I am forever grateful for her. Who knew that dress altering would be so enjoyable! To all future brides, keep your appointment, don’t buy too small, and trust Colleen. She’s the best in the business.

I was a little nervous going into consultations about my size and if they dress would fit, but I ALWAYS left feeling so great about myself. I literally cannot say enough wonderful things about Colleen! It is a big deal entrusting your dream dress for the biggest day of your life to someone and Colleen does not take that lightly. Each appointment, she spends a lot of time with you, goes over ever detail and listens to any concerns you have. She is fun, kind, incredibly detail oriented, fast, and professional. She is so talented!!! My dress had to be taken in 6 sizes or so (yay wedding diet) and it was a complicated dress (silk crepe with almost a quilt like pattern and a long train) and she mastered it! I could not have been happier with the end results; it fit like a glove and looked amazing. It hugged where it needed to and fell gracefully everywhere else. I wish I had another dress to take to her; wish all my clothes fit like my wedding dress!

Colleen is a WONDERFUL seamstress. I bought a dress that ended up being two sizes too large, and she was able to fit it perfectly to me. She made necessary enhancements that made the dress more stunning than the day I bought it. She was easy to work with and get in touch with. She was upfront, kinda, easygoing, and her work is incomparable! I am overjoyed with the work that Colleen put into my gown. She spent time with me at each appointment making the perfect adjustments, being honest with me, and the end product blew me away. She makes you feel welcome and beautiful.

Colleen is the absolute best. Not only is she a genuine breath of fresh air as a human, but she has so many creative ideas to transform your dress yet NEVER tries to upsell you. She is so honest about your options, and up front about price (which is definitely low for the work she is doing). I actually found out I was pregnant immediately after our first appointment, so I called her to ask if she could hold off on alterations until closer to the Wedding, when I could see how much my body changed. When I came back in and had gained a slightly bigger chest, my dress fit perfectly without alterations. Colleen was genuinely excited for me, and encouraged me to walk out with my unaltered yet perfectly fitting dress in hand, without her ever seeing payment from me. BUT you better bet that I will be back after the Wedding for her to shorten the length so I can wear my dress on anniversary date nights. I will, without a doubt, refer all of my friends to White Orchid Bridal.

Colleen is an artisian when it comes to bridal gown alterations! My daughter had a very intricate lace gown that she made even more fabulous by hand stitiching many places. The fit was perfect!! It was one of the few times I have seen a strapless gown so well crafted to the body appropriately while staying in place through a night of dancing!!! Collen was fun to work with and gave us her honest opinions about belt selection (which she also enhanced) and jewelry accessories. Her eye is impeccable due to her appreciation of fabric, style and fuction. If you have a gown that needs special care and craftsmanship sewing please talk to Colleen. She will do right by your dress and you!

Colleen is awesome!! I was initially very hesitant about getting my dress done here- my initial quote was much higher than I was expecting (turns out it's very hard to tailor a beaded wedding dress - who knew?) - but I'm so glad I pulled the trigger. Colleen did an amazing job and was so, so, SO easy to work with. Can't recommend her enough.

Colleen is an absolute gem. I had just moved to Georgia and had no idea where to have my Truvelle wedding gown altered with just a few months until my wedding date. After receiving a recommendation from one of my wedding vendors, I took a chance by calling White Orchid Bridal; I could not have been happier. Colleen made the time to meet with me, discuss what my wishes were, as well as, her realistic and transparent recommendations. You will be able to quickly recognize how stylish and skillful she is throughout the entire process. Even with my complicated alterations, she was able to have it completed ahead of schedule. Colleen will make you feel as if you are her sole client. She will handle your needs with the attention and detail you'd only dream of having in a seamstress. I truly enjoyed each appointment spent together in her adorable studio. I felt as if I was hanging out with an old friend. She takes the time to get to know you, your style, and most of all, she will make your dress- yours.

Colleen is amazing! I am so glad that I came across her after feeling very uncomfortable with the people recommended by the bridal shop where I purchased my dress. Alterations can be stressful but she provides a comfortable and laid back environment. She was honest about pricing and expectations from our first appointment and has been wonderful and on schedule for each appointment. My wedding is 11/26 and I have no concerns about how my dress will look. She has amazing talent and a love for what she does. She is also very easy to talk to and open to suggestions. Colleen is fabulous and if you do not know where to go in Atlanta for bridal alterations or a custom look - go see her now! She has the best and most bubbly personality which makes you feel instantly comfortable. You immediately feel at home in her studio which is adorable! Colleen created a custom silk caplet with a hand made broach to complete my look as well as a beautiful long veil that was a late add, but Colleen knew my style and knew it would be perfect. I found my gown at BHLDN and Colleen made minor alterations so quickly and easily. She also added a mini bustle for my train so I didn't trip in my tall, but fabulous heels! Colleen is very knowledgeable, easy to work with, organized and artistic. Colleen is such a hard worker and will be able to work on any alterations you bring her and bring any vision you have to life!

Colleen of White Orchid Bridal was a joy to work with during my wedding dress alterations! I came to her with a sample-size dress, which needed to be taken way down. Not only did she alter the dress to fit properly, she was fantastic at suggesting ideas and solutions to take my look up a notch. You could tell she truly enjoyed playing dress-up with brides- She got genuinely excited at suggesting veils, accessories, etc. However I never felt pressured, rushed, or confused. She was honest about price and what did and did not really need to be altered. I ended up with a truly one-of-a-kind gown, tailored to me. I would definitely recommend Colleen to my friends.

I can't recommend Colleen enough. Not only are her creations amazing but she's also a pleasure to work with, her prices are more than reasonable, and she has great ideas. She's a talented seamstress and was honest about the limitations of my dress/fabric and created solutions - a true problem solver. She took my dress down multiple sizes and changed a lot about the style, which basically required that she rebuild it, and I had no hesitations. I trusted her 100% and was not disappointed. Because of her expertise my dress fit like a dream and was very comfortable. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. I loved working with Colleen - she is so genuinely nice, and I really enjoyed chatting with her during each fitting. She did so much more than "alter" my dress - she made it mine. I highly recommend!
