on due to their kitchen staff and servers not taking food allergies seriously. I am tree nut allergic, as are two of my bridesmaids and my mother. We talked to the venue and Chef Jonathan multiple times about that concern and were assured that it would not be a problem and that they would simply omit tree nuts from the day entirely to avoid a potential mishap. Chef Jonathan personally assured us that he took allergies very very seriously. We discussed this at the tasting, on a follow up call, and included all allergies on our guest count list as required by the venue. On the day of, after the ceremony, my mom grabbed an hors d'oeuvres from a server who told her there were no nuts in the dish. When she began to feel a reaction starting she asked the server to clarify if there were nuts they admitted that they did not know. The kitchen only admitted there were tree nuts in the Brie Bites after being confronted by my maid of honor. My mother tried taking an antihistamine but ended up having to go to the hospital to be monitored and missed hours of our wedding. On top of all of this she was scared, we were scared and she felt sick for days after due to the reaction. And she missed important moments from our wedding that we can never give back to her. Thankfully none of the rest of us accidentally ate the appetizers due to the groomsmen running to warn us. There were also tree nuts all over the charcuterie board, and nothing had any kind of allergy cards to help people know what to avoid. After the wedding we reached out to the venue to voice how angry and heartbroken we were that our wedding memories were now permanently tainted with this scary experience and met with half apologies and no real sign that they understood how serious this could have been. They admitted that they noticed the brie bites had almonds in them after the tasting and rather than let us know, had assumed it would be fine because I had eaten them at the tasting (after I had asked if anything we were tasting had nuts and been told that it was safe). They say that they are implementing new training, but any trust in their food safety has been firmly shattered for us. It’s so unfortunate because the venue is gorgeous, the gardens are amazing and before cocktail hour it was a perfect wedding. But we can’t recommend this venue at all, and if we could do it all again we wouldn’t go back. Our guests' safety is worth more than a ceremony space with a view.

Our wants, needs and wishes were granted and it could not have been a better wedding !! There was great planning communication and implementation. The items we brought were displayed beautifully. The menu, chef consultation and quality of the food were incredible ! The cake and desserts beautiful and delicious ! The bars and bar tenders were outstanding ! The staff and maintenance crew were incredibly helpful ! Our guests had an awesome time and the bride and groom truly had a wedding to remember !!

d, and incredibly responsive to every single message sent her way. And once the day arrived, she kept everything running so smoothly, we never had to think twice about logistics. The Whiteface Club gave us an amazing list of vendors, which made it easy for us to find an incredible DJ, photographer, and florist. The spaces are beautiful - you have to spend way less on florals and decorations because the natural light and beauty grace every part of the venue. Our guests loved the variety of spaces, from the ceremony gardens, to the dock and boathouse, to the clubhouse with several outdoor seating areas and an extra bar. Guests were able to go wild on the dance floor while other guests looking to relax had plenty of space to move around elsewhere. The team went WAY above and beyond when our shuttle bus got stuck at the end of the night. Brooke and other members of the Whiteface staff (and their spouses/family members) drove stranded guests back to their lodging, and brushed it off as no problem. So many of our guests claimed it was “grown up summer camp” and “the most fun wedding ever”, and it’s all thanks to this amazing place! Run, don’t walk. Thank you Whiteface!

The wedding garden right on the lake is simply magical, and having exclusive access to the clubhouse, boat house, and gardens for your entire wedding day makes everything flow so smoothly. Brooke and Haleigh were absolutely amazing during the planning process - we don't live in the area, so I was initially nervous about semi-long distance planning, but they were super responsive and made sure that every detail was taken care of so we could just relax and enjoy the day! We truly could not have asked for a more perfect day, and our guests are still raving about the food and those unbeatable views. Everything about this venue is spectacular - we can't recommend it enough!

Haleigh and Brooke made everything so easy, anything we wanted they made sure was there for us and took care of any/all last-minute changes. Don’t sleep on this wedding booking!

ot have been more beautiful. The Whiteface Club wedding coordinators, Haleigh and Brooke, went above and beyond to make sure every detail was brought to life for the wedding of our dreams. They helped personalize the venue to our specific needs while making sure everything ran smoothly. We transformed the outside deck area into a winter wonderland that took a lot of coordinating to fit our “winter chic” vibe. They were both extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. The overall layout of The Whiteface Club & Resort is hard to beat. The wedding moved seamlessly from the reception (complete with hot spiked apple Cider) to the cocktail hour in the boathouse (featuring a canoe with beer/wine) and finally, up to the main reception area on the golf course. We took a boat ride on the Whiteface club’s Mahogany boat and the time alone (along with the incredible photo’s captured) was one of the highlights of the night. The reception area featured a separate dessert room where we displayed an array of cookies/cupcakes/treats next to our wedding cake. The day was simply amazing, and our guests are still raving about the beautiful landscape and unique Adirondack venue. Highly recommend!

The entire weekend ran so smoothly, we even threw in random requests in the few weeks leading up to the wedding and every single thing we wanted was accommodated!! If you’re looking for a beautiful mountain venue, this is 110% the right place for you!

wedding garden sits right on Lake Placid and has Whiteface Mountain in the background. The wedding couple chose this location because they hike all the high peaks of the Adirondacks. It was perfect! The wedding planner(s) were great to work with and helped me out as I tried to get everything organized for my daughter from 3000 miles away. They provided a list of vendors to choose from and a variety of places to stay. They even accommodated a site visit 7 months in advance so that I could get a better sense of the location and facilities. I would highly recommend doing a site visit. It was easy to order in items such as table center pieces and have them sent directly to the venue. I provided pictures of what the couple wanted, and the wedding planners did the rest. They also filled in decor where needed as they have a supply room full of items. All of the food was fantastic from the hors d'oeuvres at the cocktail hour to the buffet style dinner and the wedding cake. The couple wanted an Adirondack theme on the wedding cake and they delivered it perfectly with mountains all around it and the hiking couple on top! Though we had hoped for an outdoor wedding, we ended up with a rainy day and the wedding planner and her staff moved the ceremony inside without a hitch. It was still beautiful, right on the lake, and I was happy to have a backup plan just in case the weather did not cooperate. We went from wedding straight into the cocktail hour! Whiteface Club and Resort also offers a ride around the lake in an old wooden CrisCraft boat for the wedding couple. Immediately following the cocktail hour, all the wedding guests gathered on the boathouse veranda to see the couple off for a trip out on the lake. This is a nice touch and the couple loved it! The couple did not opt for a DJ and Whiteface even helped out with the sound system. It worked out fine and there was lots of dancing by many in attendance. To top off the food service, the couple wanted a wedding cake with a mountain theme to it. The cake design was exactly what they asked for as mountains were applied all around on the sides and the hiking couple was atop. I received many compliments on the cake design. Whiteface took care of all the cake preparation. What I would say about coordinating with the folks at Whiteface Club and Resort is that they are very responsive, good to work with, and will help you pull off a fabulous event. They are organized, friendly and allow folks to relax and enjoy the big day. Most importantly, the wedding couple was thrilled!!

e ceremony garden is what made us commit, but it was the wedding weekend that truly made this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Brooke and Haleigh made sure every detail was as we wanted it, including a very intricate dessert table that took much attention to detail to set up. The food and drinks were plentiful and fantastic, local & very fresh. My wife and I especially loved our post-ceremony boat ride on Lake Placid to enjoy our first few moments of being married together. Every single guest said that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended, and Brooke and Haleigh and the hospitality staff are a huge part of making that happen. It’s a truly spectacular location, inside and out, and we can’t recommend highly enough!

Haleigh is accommodating, attentive, assured and answered all of our questions, calls, texts and e-mails quickly. She was great! One day before the wedding, we stopped by to measure. Haleigh took time between meeting with other couples to hear our idea. After we explained we were starved since we had just spent hours with our florist beforehand, we’d love lunch at The Cafe. It was closing. Haleigh insisted she ask the kitchen to stay open for one more meal. They agreed and we had lunch on the patio. There we talked with staff about the grounds and how beautiful it was. We got to hear a lil about them and what brought them to Lake Placid. The staff were so nice to us and we really loved getting to know some of them. They all worked so hard to remove furniture, add props to the patio and couches in the Cafe all to add to our guests experience. Shout out to The bartenders. They were awesome too! Grounds keepers all rock! We were so excited for our guests to experience walking through the Wedding Garden. It was enchanting as lil humming birds fluttered about. It was a beautiful day and the garden was was in full bloom and putting on quite a show. It felt like a dream. All of our signage was where we asked for it to be. Haleigh was right there to instruct us. Our rehearsal was rained out but Haleigh again put us all at ease and had it organized for us. We communicated throughout our stay in Lake Placid leading up to the wedding. She was always available. The ceremony was just breathtaking with Whiteface Mountain across the Lake. Prior to the ceremony the staff were hanging out paper cones with rose petals but the wind started to blow the petals out. Haleigh let us know and told us what she can do. They looked perfect and we were able to have the rose petal toss that we dreamed of. Haleigh always had a solution and not a road block to keep our vision alive. Off to The Boathouse. The displays were full and large and the servers delivered trays of delectables. The bar was stocked with our signature drinks and ready to serve up whatever was ordered. (pleased with what I saw) The couple took a complimentary Hacker Craft boat ride which we can all appreciate the craftsmanship there. Beautiful boat and beautiful addition to the day. The staff alerted us when it was time to meet on the dock. It allowed us a photo op by drone. What a great shot of the bride and groom with all the guests. Next stop The Clubhouse. The patio looked amazing . The staff staged it perfectly. We had an outside vendor bring in rugs and a couple vintage items and they were allowed to stage as well. The staff and vendors all worked together with Haleigh’s direction. The room was better than we imagined and the service was friendly and timely. Our meal was delicious. They added a water station which was a great idea. We danced all night! We used The Cafe, Fire Pit and Reception room. Our guests really enjoyed all the areas. The grooms family came from Louisiana and they all fell in love with the area and The WFC. Thank you for being a part of our story. We will always remember our time spent at The Whiteface Club fondly. I believe we landed at the best place in Placid to have our wedding.

We had a little snag with our transportation company and Kristin took charge and got everything back on track immediately. I wasn't stressed one bit! Our guests were absolutely blown away by the scenery, the gardens, the food, and how unique the whole event was. It was our dream venue!!

imagined. The grounds were stunning. She even organized hot spiked beverages for guests before the ceremony started. The staff for the reception could not have been nicer or more polite. Instead of sit down tables, we did more of a moveable feast. The food was amazing. Every vendor that Kristin suggested was phenomenal, and the space could not have looked more beautiful, I highly recommend her! And I would recommend taking advantage of Lake Placid in all of its beauty in the winter!

nd meeting with Kristen we immediately knew it was where we were going to get married. Kristen was amazing to work with. She listened to all of my ideas and added in her own expertise. We had the rehearsal dinner at the lodge, the wedding in breathtaking gardens, and a breakfast for all our guests the next day. Kristen and her staff were on top of every detail the entire weekend. Everything went perfectly (or at least that’s how the staff made it seem). A few days after our wedding a friend told me that the bar had run out of Labatt Blue during the reception and that a waiter ran across the street to buy a few more cases at the grocery store. After hearing that story I can only imagine what other tiny details the staff went above and beyond for. Five years later and people still tell us it was the best wedding they have ever been to! My husband and I had dinner at the lodge for our five year anniversary and even that was amazing! The hostess wished us a happy anniversary on arrival and reminisced about our wedding day which she worked. We got to catch up with Kristen and were treated like royalty. It was like having a little wedding family reunion and made our anniversary that much more special.

She was there every step of the way with so much enthusiasm, and happy to help with literally anything you could possibly need. Everyone had a blast and guests are still telling us that it was the most beautiful wedding venue they’ve been to. WCR is perfect for its incredible views alone, but Kristin and her team are what truly elevate the experience to something exceptional.

She said they normally decide at noon to have the wedding inside or outside but 10 minutes before the ceremony she did her magic and made it so our wedding could be outside by getting a group of people together to wipe down all the chairs. Rain or shine the venue is absolutely stunning on the lake. The garden is breathtaking as is the dining room in the club house.

The view of Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain in the background are incredible. Kristin Parker even set us up with a wooden boat ride which I thought was very romantic and gave my husband and I 30-minutes to enjoy a moment by ourselves before dancing the night away. The cocktail hour and reception were a beautiful. Our guests had the time of their life. Kristin Parker helps the bride throughout the entire planning process and is very responsive. She was also there during the entire day of the wedding. Everything went perfectly! It was our dream wedding. We keep hearing about how fun our wedding was and how gorgeous the venue was even 4-months later!!! I HIGHLY recommend your Adirondack wedding to be at Whiteface Club and Resort.
