Not only was the venue itself beautiful, charming, and completely unique, but the friendliness and professionalism of the entire staff was above and beyond what we expected. The en...
tire experience, not only for us as the couple hosting, but for all our guests, was completely amazing.
The only word to describe our wedding weekend at Whitehall is magical. The inn is so much more than a wedding venue, and having all of our loved ones staying in one beautiful place...
offered us an intimate weekend-long experience more wonderful than we could have imagined. It was the perfect space to share our love of Maine with our friends and family from around the world. The inn holds so much historic charm and has a rustic, natural feel, made luxurious by modernized decor touches, soft lighting, cozy fire pits, and gorgeous outdoor spaces. Everything is set up to maximize time together with a feeling of simple, relaxed elegance. Our guests caught up each morning over breakfast, and roamed from lounge to lounge, patio to patio, throughout the days, giving the kids a place to place and adults the place to gather over coffee or drinks. During the main event we took advantage of the front porches, side patio, and beautiful dining space for an unforgettable evening. All of our guests used words like "so classy, yet laid back" to describe the space and event and raved about the food, especially the most delicious raw bar and scallops station on the patio during cocktails. It just felt like us. It was sad to see the weekend come to an end, but I know we'll come back to Whitehall to relive the magic as often as we can. days, giving the kids a place to place and adults the place to gather over coffee or drinks. We had our rehearsal dinner (45 people) and welcome party (about 80 total) here and everyone was raving about how beautiful everything was! The on site staff was extremely nice and...
everything went flawlessly day of!
The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the Event Coordinator was not very responsive and would schedule calls and then miss them (happened multiple times). She was also not flexible with meeting on weekends/ weeknights for us to initially look at the space. If the space was not as nice and convenient as it is we would have probably gone another route given the lack of flexibility and responsiveness with the contact.
Delightful accommodations for our wedding guests this past September! We absolutely love Whitehall and were thrilled to share the space with our friends and family from out of town...
. Highly recommend Whitehall Inn!
We selected Pig & Poet for our rehearsal dinner of 55 guests - and we are thrilled we did! The lead up to the event was well organized with Maggie coordinating all the decisions f...
lawlessly. They were quite accommodating with the various dietary requests we had for our group. Then, the event itself was perfect. Many of the guests commented on what a perfect venue it was - from the decor to the combination indoor & outdoor space to the food itself. I would highly recommend Pig & Poet for an event - and personally, my now-husband and I will be returning to relive our wonderful experience there!
The Whitehall and Pig + Poet hosted our 45 guest wedding reception and it was a total success. The event coordinator, Maggie, was very organized, responsive to phone calls and emai...
l, and was able to answer/find answers to all of our questions. The chef worked with us to create a menu that fit our vision and the dietary needs of our guests. The team was accommodating and open to trying new ideas to help us achieve our vision. Day-of set up was very easy, they were flexible with set up, and willing to meet with vendors as they arrived. We chose a family-style dinner which worked so well for us- guests wer raving about the food, food was plentiful, and servers were discrete, attentive, and very flexible for our guests- excellent service. The staff worked with us to host activities post dinner such as cake cutting, piñata, and some dancing on the back patio.
We would highly recommend this venue for this looking to skip the DJ and dance floor, for a low-key and tasteful wedding reception with a focus on the gorgeous property, delicious food, and impeccable service.
