Whitney Dawn Cake Design

Whitney did an incredible job with our wedding cake! We had a Lord of the Rings inspired wedding, and we had a vision of a Minas Tirith inspired wedding cake. We thought what we were asking for was way beyond what our budget could provide (the examples we found on google were easily thousands of dollars), but Whitney took our idea and made it work within our budget, in the end producing a beautiful cake that was even better than the expensive fondant cakes we found online! It was a perfect cake for our wedding and our guests loved it!

Whitney worked with us for our wedding cake. We were having a variety of desserts so we thought we didn't need a lot of cake. BOY WERE WE WRONG! Everyone loved the cake and it was exactly like I pictured. Whitney was awesome working with our scheudules and incredibly professional. She is very creative and can bring anything you think of to life!

CopCakes was recommended by our wedding coordinator. We hired her because our wedding was approaching fast, we were tired of meetings after meetings with other vendors and she was friendly and willing to work with us. We checked her out online and all of her cakes are beautiful so I decided to reach out to her. the tasting went well, the cake was moist so we booked her. The day of the wedding, she delivered and set-up, the cake was beautiful! just like the picture we gave her, but the cake was dried. The sad part was hearing several complaints/comments from guests about the dry cake during and after the wedding. It's a bit embarrassing. Not sure what went wrong with the baking that day. I'm giving her 3 stars because the cake did look beautiful.

We hired ‘CopCakes’ to make our Wedding Cake for our special day and we could not be happier with how the cake turned out. We met with Whitney six months out from our big day. The tasting was very stress free and casual. Whitney did a great job walking us through the ins-and-outs of the Wedding Cake. She was able to work with the ideas and designs we brought to the meeting and even sketched out a rough sketch of the cake while at the consultation. The cake turned out exactly as designed and looked amazing. And beyond that, it tasted even better than it looked! We had a three tier cake with (Vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream, chocolate cake with white chocolate buttercream and red velvet cake with white chocolate buttercream) and they were all great! The cake was moist and flavorful, a real delight! Whitney made the Cake aspect easy, renting us a cake stand so we didn’t have to buy one and even being on site day of to cut the cake to make sure it was handled properly for a nominal fee. Overall, we are very thankful we went with Whitney and CopCakes for our Wedding cake and we can’t wait to get our 1st Year Anniversary cake from her next spring!
