She started off great with communication and getting our engagement session set up and edits to us right away. She did great at the wedding and was fun to work with. We got married...
in August of 2019 and we're still waiting on our edits and video. After the wedding there was no communication as to when I'd be getting my photos so I reached out September 18th 2019 to ask when we'd be getting our photos. She said she was burning them to a USB and getting it mailed out the next week. I didn't receive them after a month so reached out again October 16th 2019 and asked if she was still working on the videos and pictures. She replied she was still working on them and got behind due to weather and reschedules so was going to get them mailed out the next day. They didn't get mailed the next day and she reached out on October 24th asking for my address and then sent me a picture of the package so I knew they were finally being mailed. I had to ask how to get the photos we wanted edited to her and she said to write them on paper and send her a photo. After I looked through the photos and there were a lot and some that should have just been deleted since they were of the wall or black and you couldn't make anything out. I asked if there was anyway for her to send me a more limited amount of photos to chose from for my edits on February 14 2020, which was a huge mistake. I didn't get a reply until my 3rd text message on March 9th 202 and she replied that she'd hopefully have them done this month. There was no communication so I again followed up May 7th 202 and sent 6 text messages the last one being on June 8th 2020. She decided to reply back to me on August 18th 2020 via text message after I left a voicemail for her on how to get my wedding edits/video, which I thought was done but should've known it wasn't bc she never responded about it asking for a song, I sent her the edits and 3 songs she requested on August 20th 2020 and she said got it, thank you. I haven't been able to get in contact with her since. I've sent numerous text messages and voicemails to ask if I'm ever going to get my wedding video and just to forget the edits at this point bc I can have someone else to them. I just sent another text asking if she can just provide me with the video material and I'll have someone else put it together for me. If you want someone who communicates well and sticks to the timelines that they give you I would not suggest going with her. I've been the one following up and asking for things every step of the way after my wedding. It's been an awful experience after the wedding and frustrated I'm still waiting. I'll update this if I ever get my video or edits.
I will gladly update this review if I ever receive a refund. See her other google reviews. There are similar experiences.
We hired Whitney in March 2020 based on another photogra...
pher's recommendation since she was already booked up. It seemed easy enough to sign the contract and venmo her the deposit, plus pay it in full (total of $1404) in advance since it needs to be paid in full prior to our event per her contract. Needless to say COVID happened and we had to cancel. I gladly forfeited the $600 deposit based on the circumstances, but am still waiting to have the remaining $804 refunded. She was out no money or expenses and has never taken a picture of us. I have had to hound her and threaten legal action to get any response. We came to an agreement of paying me back $50/mo, which she did for 2 months, but has failed to do so the past two months. Giving her over a year to pay me back when it should be in full like I was required to pay, I thought was more than generous and understanding. Part of her contract states that any money that isn't refunded, the client will receive some form of work (i.e. family photos) to receive the value. I've inquired about doing family photos and she seems to avoid doing any actual work. I am beyond frustrated and appalled by her response or lack thereof.
From my perspective, she took the money and ran. Don't use her unless you're prepared to take legal action to get what you're owed. Currently in contact with a lawyer and preparing a small claims case, but am giving her one last opportunity to give back the refund. Currently pregnant in a pandemic and my husband deploys often, so this is the last thing I need.
We purchased a wedding package with Whitney February 2018 that included; engagement photos, wedding photos and edits, and then paid an additional $500 to add a wedding video she pr...
omised would be something to treasure for years to come.
Working with Whitney was fun- she is easy going, funny and personable and really cared about getting us great shots! We enjoyed having her with us on our wedding day (6/27/19) and she took many beautiful photos that we received in what seemed like an appropriate amount of time. She asked us to pick photos we wanted edited, so those were sent to her 9/2/19.
-Followed up with her late January 2020 after not hearing anything more about the video or edits. She indicated she was getting caught up on jobs and would have it done in the next few weeks.
-April 2020 still nothing so followed up again to no response. Followed up a week later and she indicated the work would be completed in 7 days.
-This goes on several times where she indicated the work would be done “within the week” then two weeks would come and go, and not a word.
UPDATE AUGUST 2020: After more calls, emails, text messages, and threats of legal action, Whitney did follow through and provided us with the wedding video we paid for. This was 1 year and 2 months after our wedding. Again, her quality of work was beautiful- the edits were nice, there were some editing issues in the video, but it was still fun to watch and we are happy to conclude our business with Whitney.
Final take away: A customer should never have to feel like they are harassing a professional to get what they paid for. Whitney was a lot of fun to work with in person, took beautiful photos, but her lack of professionalism in getting the video and edits to us timely and then just stopping all communication, really soured our experience in working with her. She was a great communicator early on in our working relationship. I have since learned that she went through some personal struggles in this past year that impacted her work. She has told me she is making her work a priority again and I really hope that is the case, as she is a talented lady and really does take great photos!

side from her creative perception for photography, she's great at helping you pose + finding perfect lighting. Until Whitney, i've never met a photographer that can get every photo you could ever want and dream in a 15-20 minute time span, which makes everyone happy, cause we're having fun and then we're done. working with whitney doesn't feel like work, and that's why we love her, she has a contagious laugh and great personality.

endly and laid back, and full of suggestions! She allowed me to send her any Pinterest photos like I liked for ideas and she made sure to try and get them- I'd say we managed to get 90-95% of the poses I had shown her. We got our CD of images the next day and now get to go through the couple thousand photos (the disc has literally every photo she took on it) and pick out my favorites for her to edit- the part I am most excited for. She is definitely worth it and you won't be disappointed!
Whitney is amazing to work with! Her ideas and locations are second to none. I highly suggest her to anyone for engagement and wedding pictures. She goes out of her way to make you...
