Who Made the Cake was recommended to me by a co worker and it did not disappoint! Not only was the cake absolutely beautiful, but it tasted amazing. Nadine really listened to us at the cake tasting and it came out exactly how we pictured. Thank you so much to Nadine and her team!

We had a wonderful time working with Nadine to create our dream wedding cake. She listened to everything we wanted and delivered a beautiful cake…that tasted amazing! She exceeded expectations.

Our vision came to life with Nadine! She made our grooms cake for our wedding day and it was a huge hit!! Everyone kept taking pictures of the cake and didn’t even realize it was a cake because of how amazing and intricate the details of the cake were! I would highly recommend booking with her!

This was included in my package through my venue but I did pay a little to upgrade to a custom cake. It looked exactly how I wanted it and tasted amazing! Like it actually tasted 10x better than at our tasting. I wish I had taken more than a few bites but everyone else raved about it!

When we stopped in and did a tasting the cake was AMAZING and we were so excited. Our groom's cake was custom and in the shape of luggage and came out beautifully! Our wedding cake was a classic 4 tier cake and also pretty. Unfortunately, it didn't taste like it did the day we did our tasting. The cake was dry and the frosting was hard. I was so disappointed because I looked forward to the cake for a whole year! We paid quite a bit of money too.

The cake was good, but not enough to justify the price or buying experience. The place was recommended to us through a vendor, so we gave it a try as we were short on time. The front desk staff are nice, but the owner is very brusque and seemed disinterested in her clients. Maybe if we ordered a more elaborate or larger cake if would have been a different experience, but from the beginning it seemed like the place was resting on its laurels. We were underwhelmed with the final product and the whole experience. I should have paid attention to the negative reviews.

Our cake was beautiful! I was so worried that our cake (minimum size for 100 people) would be way too small, but it was the perfect amount! During cake testing we were given a wide selection of flavors for frosting and batter, we ended up going with the champagne batter and citrus frosting. The showroom is a little small and dusty but don't let that scare you away, the cakes are beautiful and taste delicious! All of our guests loved it (not too sweet, just right)! Nadine is super nice and also a travel agent! Highly recommend!

Heard this was the best cake shop in town and was excited for our visit, but the customer service was terrible. Maybe Nadine was having a bad day or something, but you can't treat potential clients poorly. She was rude to my mom whenever she asked a question and pretty brusque with us. I get she's the main baker/designer/owner, but if she doesn't like people, maybe have someone else run the tasting? I left with a bad taste in my mouth (cakes were fine, nothing exciting). When we got the quote, it was insane how expensive it was. We probably could have negotiated lower by changing the design etc, but our unpleasant tasting experience was enough. I can't imagine trying to design a cake with someone who was so rude during the initial meeting/sales pitch. Why bother moving forward?

Make the easiest and best decision by ordering your wedding cake from here. This was the easiest and BEST decision we made. She was extremely professional, easy to work with, kind, and required ZERO effort on our end other than showing up for a tasting and telling her what we wanted. I put down a deposit and they sent me a design, and then I didn't talk to them until the full amount was due. On the day of it arrived and was STUNNING!! We had our wedding in College Station, and they delivered there, NO problem. The cake was delicious and people have continued to talk about how delicious it was!!

Absolutely fantastic cakes by Who Made the Cake! During the tasting with Nadine, we collaborated well and designed a beautiful, 4 tiered, contemporary-style cake. The flavors were also amazing! We chose almond with lemon filling and raspberry with raspberry filling. My husband requested a violin for his groom’s cake and it was so life-like! I loved Nadine’s suggestion to wrap the cake board in sheet music; it was the perfect touch! He chose Italian Cream cake with cream cheese icing and it was so decadent! My guests are still raving about these cakes!

We found Who Made The Cake from a Houston list of gay-friendly wedding vendors in Out Magazine. In researching several bakers, this one stood out. They were the closest to where I lived, with a convenient location inside the loop. Also, the designs on their website were exquisite! We settled on a dual-flavor cake: spice cake with mocha filling and a butter cake with raspberry filling, and a vanilla buttercream icing for the whole cake. All of our guests raved not only about the flavor but also the beautiful design. We couldn't have been happier!

Not only did our wedding cake look amazing, it tasted absolutely delicious too! We brought several inspiration pictures to our consultation and they came up with a beautiful design that was perfectly executed on the day. We changed the flavors around closer to the date of the wedding and they were super responsive. Highly recommend

I didn't eat much on my wedding day, but the cake was the one thing I could not miss. We chose the orange champagne (mimosa) cake and it was absolutely incredible. She followed exactly what I had in mind for decorations and overall it was an incredible experience working with Nadine.

Who Made The Cake! absolutely nailed my cake vision both presentation and flavor wise. We met with Nadine for our cake tasting and as we tried flavor we discussed how we wanted the cake to look. As we talked she sketched up a picture of our cake and by the time she was done, it was exactly what I hoped for. When it arrived it looked JUST how I wanted it to. When we had the first slice, it tasted even better than we remembered! All of our guests asked where we had ordered from. We had some cake a few days later, it maintained its flavor and it was still just as moist as it was on our wedding day!

I went with Who Made the Cake after the tasting. Their prices were fair and competitive, but the cake quality and flavor was unmatched. Her cakes are moist and beautiful. I chose some bold colors and wasnt sure how it would all work out. She came through with the most beautiful cake. it was delivered and set up on time and by the end of the night there was only 4 slices left.

We knew exactly who we wanted to do our cake when we got engaged. We have been eating Nadine’s creations for years. She listened to everything we wanted and made stunning cakes! They were the favorite attraction at the reception for the guests. The DJ could not stop raving about them either. We were so pleased with our cakes! She was able to recreate our family boat and even made our dog out of fondant!

People 2 months later are still talking about how delicious my wedding cake was. Definitely the star of the show!!! The chocolate chip cookie dough filling was a showstopper!!

Nadine and her husband were able to meet with us right before the pandemic shut everything down, and during our taste test we knew we found the right team to create our wedding and groom's cakes. While our wedding cake was beautiful, the groom's cake stole the show. They created a cake for my husband that was a retro television with a photo on the screen and his favorite VHS tapes sitting around it with full covers! They looked so real! He didn't want to cut into it! Both cakes tasted amazing and we made sure to get a lot of photos!!

When I had to postpone my wedding due to COVID and my cupcake baker was unavailable for the new date, Nadine and Raven at Who Made The Cake were so quick to help us out and get us a gorgeous and delicious cake. We had so many guests compliment the cake and our pictures from the cake cutting are mostly us really enjoying how delicious it was! It will be hard to wait for our anniversary to enjoy the saved tier but it will all be worth it and will be that much sweeter! Nadine was kind and super experienced, knowledgeable, and professional. Our wedding cake was amazing. We first had one of Nadine's cakes at a friend's wedding. When we started our wedding planning we asked them which bakery they used. We setup our consultation with Nadine shortly after. She took the time to look at our inspiration pictures and drew up the perfect combination of them all. Who Made the Cake did a WONDERFUL job with our wedding cake! It was beautiful and tasted SO good! My wedding week was a bit chaotic due to COVID-19 and the daily changes and new restrictions it imposed. We even had to move our wedding up 24 hours!! While some vendors had to back out- Who Made the Cake came through! We got so many compliments on our cake and I can not thank this team enough for everything! I HIGHLY recommend for any bride/ anyone looking for a cake!

Our cakes was absolutely amazing! It was delicious, moist and decorated beautifully! I am still hearing rave reviews on how great the cake tasted and looked. It was an exact replica of what Nadine mocked up for us when we had our taste test meeting with her. It was delivered and set up on time. They left a box for us to take home our top layer. Nadine's team went above and beyond and made allergy free cupcakes for my nephew (at an additional charge) which he enjoyed without fear of having an allergic reaction. The cupcakes matched the wedding cake and looks perfect together! Such a spectacular company!

We worked with Nadine for my cake and she knocked it out of the park! She listened to everything I envisioned for my cake and exceeded all expectations. I wanted a mix of a traditional cake with a fun twist, so we did a two sided cake! The front was traditional and elegant with our wedding monogram on it, and the other side was painted to depict my favorite scene (the lantern scene) from the movie Tangled. We got so many compliments on my cake! It was truly the cake of my dreams. Nadine also helped us surprise my groom with chocolate covered strawberries and cake balls that looked like golf balls in place of a grooms cake. He was so excited and loved it! The strawberries flew off of the shelves - everyone raved about them!

Nadine and everyone at Who Made The Cake was fantastic! We had our wedding cake and groom’s cake by WMTC and they were both delicious and beautiful. Even weeks later we’ve had guests mention how the cakes tasted “a cut above the rest.” If you want to impress your guests, go with Who Made The Cake!

Nadine was absolutely AMAZING from our initial meeting! We came with some ideas in mind, and she was able to mesh them all together into our perfect vision. Even her sketch was beautiful and we could tell that in person it would be even better! Sure enough it was GORGEOUS! Often I'm not much of a cake person (and heard this from many guests), however, this is truly the best cake I have ever tasted. We had guests stealing cake from other tables!! So many amazing flavors and options to do with your tiers! We cannot wait to bust open our top tier out of our freezer :)

The experience from top to bottom was wonderful! Tastings on the first visit, and Nadine took my now-hubby's and my vision and made it a reality. The cake was beautiful and oh-so delicious! We did a joint bride-groom cake, musical theme, with the two white layers being delicious different white cake selections (mimosa and butter raspberry - YUM) and the lavender layer being chocolate-caramel. Another YUM! My guests loved it! My hubs and I can't wait to enjoy our chocolate caramel topper a year from now! Thank you, Nadine! Nadeen did an amazing job designing our cakes! She did it all under an hour, like she read our minds! Our grooms cake was designed to look like the grooms dog, and the resemblance was uncanny! Everything tasted amazing and we can’t wait to use Who Made the Cake in the future.

My daughter was so happy to be getting married. She drove all the way up into Houston to pick her cake. she was pleased with her choice. Then the day of the wedding came and so did the hideous cake. She wanted burgundy flowers and sun flowers. what she got was purple flowers and sunflowers. She wanted to throw the cake out. when i called the shop, the owner or whatever he is, said that we can go gutter if you wanna complain. so lets go gutter. The little girl on the phone tried to convince me that purple is burgundy. Go to someone else, don't let them ruin your day.

Cake was stunning and tasted great! Only compliant was that the cake stand was never delivered to the venue so post wedding caused some stress trying to track it down thinking it had gotten lost only to find it had never been at the venue. But the staff was great in apologizing for the mishap and offered us a free anniversary cake.

We originally booked with another bakery vendor and he closed his business abruptly without telling any of his brides/grooms. With less than 2 months away from the wedding, we reached out to Who Made The Cake and they were able to fit us in (they also heard about this horrible bakery in the news that we booked originally). The cake was amazing! We got a butter cake with homemade strawberry jam with cream cheese frosting. Guest after guest told me how good the cake was! I am excited to see how our cake will taste after a year in the freezer. They delivered the cake on time and always reminded us of when payments were due. I wanted to surprise my husband with an R2D2 groom's cake. After consulting with several bakeries, Who Made the Cake! had the most competitive price and the best looking R2D2 (in a tux!) My mom and I went in for a tasting, and were very impressed with all the flavor and icing combinations. We settled on the chocolate with chocolate buttercream and a caramel filling. The day of our wedding the cake tasted just as good as at the tasting, and everyone loved the R2D2- especially my husband! I highly recommend Who Made the Cake and I know my husband and I will likely order a cake from them again!

Who Made The Cake does it again! We requested two cakes: 1) a three-tier cinnamon/vanilla cake with amaretto filling, fondant frosting, and a gold metallic finish; and 2) a one-and-a-half-tier butter cake with raspberry filling, fondant frosting, and a geode rock candy finish! Our guests could not stop talking about how delicious, moist, and beautiful both cakes were! They both got gobbled up before the night was through! They worked with my Husband and I decorating our cake and providing us with everything we were looking for in a cake. When we came in for the first time she had a variety of 7 or 8 pieces of cake to try with a glass of water. She was very knowledgeable on what she cooks and what she provides. We went threw albums and gave her my vision, she used colored pencils to draw exactly what hi wanted. When i was at the venue and came down to meet my husband i saw the cake and it was exquisite. I got very good reviews on how our cake was fresh and tasted wonderful.

Our cakes turned out wonderfully! I wish I could post a photo! Nadine listened exactly to what we wanted and did her best to execute everything we were looking for on our cake (other cake vendors threw down our ideas or didn't know what we were talking about or just didn't want to do it). I loved my bird nest cake and all the tiers were moist! Our two biggest concerns were dry food and dry cake; nope! Everyone went straight for the strawberry layer (we unfortunately didn't get any because it was all gone :( ). My only issue was for those special flavors, like strawberry and carrot cake are an additional fee, but we couldn't resist the deliciousness of those flavors! I regret we didn't make our bottom and the top tier we get to save as strawberry because that one was our favorite. Everyone, even my caterer and wedding coordinator said how extravagant and awesome my cake turned out! If you want your dreams to come true, please go to Nadine and her cake crew! Not only can your design come true, the cake doesn't disappoint with the cake art! :)

The Cake She made us was ABSOLUTELY BEYOND what I could have ever imagined and more!!! And the Flavors?! OMG!! SO GOOOOODD!!

Nadine makes the most beautiful and delicious cakes!! She has always been a pleasure to talk to and very personable. We even got a post card in the mail! Our cake was exactly as described but SO much better. She exceeded my expectations by a mile. If I could give 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat!! Please go to Nadine for your wedding cake. You will not be disappointed!!

Beast cake I have ever had. All the guest agreed!

I’m not one to dwell on unpleasant service experiences. A bad restaurant outing or complications at the cleaners has never inspired me to seriously consider doing a post hoc write-up. Yet, here we are. Of course, this would have been completely unnecessary had Nadine from Who Made the Cake! not been nearly as callous as she was. After meeting with her one afternoon and deciding to put a flat last name initial sugar paste atop my daughter’s wedding cake, I realized three hours later that the topper could not go on the cake. I notified Nadine of this request later that day, but was told that the $35 charge for the topper was nonnegotiable. She would not credit me that amount. This was despite the fact that I had only met with her that afternoon and was unaware that telling her just a few hours earlier of my interests was irrevocable. She insisted that she would not be willing to refund me the $35. As you can imagine, I was dismayed by this news. I had spent thousands of dollars on my daughter’s wedding, had interfaced with a host of different vendors and had never seen this kind of obstinacy. One has to keep in mind not only the total expense of purchasing a cake from Nadine, but also the fact that this was ten days before the cake was even to be delivered. The cake was in no way structurally altered nor were there any other changes. She justified her rigidity on the grounds that her adherence to the contract was sufficient and that it was I who was unreasonable. I appreciate her concern for contractual integrity, but the contract I agreed to upon choosing Nadine as my cake vendor was hardly a recipe for commercial success. I chose her not only because I thought her skills as a baker were worth the investment, but also because I thought that I was to work with someone flexible and customer-service oriented like the other vendors with whom I worked. She often made me feel as if I was the bad guy. I merely wanted to ensure a wonderful wedding for my daughter and Nadine seemed insensitive to that fact. She insisted in an email exchange that she went into this business because of her passion and love for baking—not for financial gain; her behavior regarding the $35 speaks to the contrary. A word of warning: If you plan to work with Nadine, be prepared that you will operate on her terms. Even something as rote and trivial as making a meeting time was done so as to “make time” for me. In other words, her willingness to meet and chat about my cake was a favor she bestowed on me. Need I remind you that I was the one making the significant investment to help her business. My recommendation is that since we live in a city as large as Houston, I would find a different baker. There are plenty of excellent and creative ones from which to choose.

We love Nadine, she really paid attention to the details of making my cake. I had my wedding on Nov. 5, 2016 at The Sweetwater Country Club. The cake was designed from my dress. Perfect details of roses, hydrangeas, and lace. It was amazing. Thank you Nadine. The cake was so delicious and everyone enjoyed it.

We had MANY cake tastings before we found Who Made The Cake, and let me tell you HANDS DOWN this is the BEST tasting wedding cake you will find and absolutely beautiful to top that off. I've baked all my life and love sweets and I know for a fact I will be using Who Made The Cake for future events. We sat down and had our cake tasting and knew after about 2 minutes we were going to order our cake from here. We got our quote, but before we put our deposit we saw several other cakes we liked the idea of. Raven, the receptionist I must've emailed about 35 times was so patient and helpful with me. Our wedding cake turned out AMAZING! We had the chocolate with caramel, red velvet, white cake and we had the white chocolate fondant that was delicious. We had so many compliments on our cake and I thank you for making my big day even more special!

I bought my Husband's groom's cake from Who Made The Cake! and it was definitely one of the best decisions I made for our wedding day! We ordered a classic chocolate grooms cake and it was absolutely delicious. Nadine was a pleasure to work with and really listened to what I wanted and she had some great ideas to offer! We had two cakes delivered for our wedding. The cake tasting process was simple and low stress - Nadine was even knowledgeable about Gulf Coast salt water fish, which led my soon-to-be husband to purchase a cake that mimicked a YETI full of red fish. While my traditional cake tasted like a dream and was made to fit every detail, his YETI fish cooler stopped the show. These cakes are not only beautiful but delicious! Nadine, Raven and the rest of the crew were easy to communicate with and delivered a phenomenal product.

The cakes went fast with the lemon cake filled with raspberry completely gone by night's end, and I didn't even get a piece. There was only one problem that caused a lot of frustration. Our hand made cake topper was not completely put together. We were told they didn't know how to put this one part on the topper so, instead of asking for help, they just kept it in a box below the table. Our wedding coordinators confirmed that box was never there. The cake venue worked with us afterwards. We found the cost to replace the item. The cake venue gave us the money to replace the piece and a $100 gift card for a 10" cake. They worked with us and were apologetic.

Words cant explain how wonderful Nadine and her staff were. I previously read some other reviews and felt I had to write a review because I had an amazing experience from the first time I walked into Who Made the Cake! When I began to look at cake designs, I think everyone can tell hers are the best by far.. She has been on every show and won every award, ( I did my research, even Steve Harvey). I have to admit I was a little scared to receive a quote because her designs are so over the top and unique, however after comparing her to all the local competitors hers came out to the best price per slice and of course the BEST designs! When I scheduled my appt, the ladies were so pleasant and even offered advice on other vendors that I was trying to lock down. When I got into the shop, I was completely overwhelmed because picking the cake design was the second biggest to do on my list. I think I had pinned and cut every single design I had ever came across, and began to show her and tell her my elaborate design details. Nadine sat patiently across from us and LISTENED while my mother, fiancé, and mother-in-law all poured our ideas out to her. While she was listening I noticed she was sketching, in a matter of minutes, she had sketched the most beautiful cake I had ever seen that included all the elements and designs I wanted. I was literally in tears! The hardest part about my wedding cake design was picking from the delicious flavors, even flavors I wasn't keen on made my mouth water. Long story short, I truly believe Nadine was the BEST decision I made out of ALL of my vendors. She has a calming spirit coupled with a unique talent. When I got to my wedding venue, I again was in tears not only because my wedding cake was better than I ever could imagine, but because my groom was in awe of his grooms cake! (EVERYONE was asking is that a cake?! ) I can say as a bride, I wanted all my guest to love all of my decisions I worked at for the past year, but the true icing on the cake would be my guest pulling me aside asking "WHO MADE THE CAKE"... I cant wait to visit her and all the wonderful staff again, for my baby shower :)

I'm writing this review one year after having Nadine's cake on the best night of my life to date. It was delicious then, and even better than I remember it one year later on our anniversary weekend. I heard a lot of horror stories from coworkers who also participated in the tradition of saving the top layer of their wedding cake for the first anniversary. Glad my story is just the opposite!

My family has been purchasing cakes from Nadine for years due to my mother's fascination with wedding cake and her numerous requests to have on instead of a typical birthday cake, so when it came time to choose a cake vendor we knew exactly who we wanted to go with. The cake tasting was very personal and made the decision on cake flavor very difficult as they are all spectacular. My husband and I each chose a cake and we were not disappointed on our wedding day! Our guests are still raving about how beautiful and delicious the cakes were. I even noticed some of the guests were taking pictures with the cake before we arrived at the reception venue! My husband and I will be purchasing anniversary cakes for years to come from Who Made the Cake!

Nadine moon, made my wedding dream cake come true, cherry blossom cake tier, it was the most beautiful cake and perfect for my wedding wish I was granted. I cannot thank u enough for making my cake and dream come true.. I have been in hospital for the past few months so I haven't gotten a chance to send out a thank you, but I am so grateful that you dedicated your time and effort in making and completing my wedding dream cake.. I am forever grateful and can't thank you enough, you are very talented and my cake was the best! Love you! Catherine voelkel

Travelling 3 hours several times a month to help select wedding vendors was a challenge, so as MOB, I was so relieved when we finally found a cake designer who was more concerned with the bride and groom's wishes that "here's what WE do. Nadine's attention to detail was amazing; and I especially appreciated the way she helped my daughter match her vision to a real cake! The groom's cake was was fun to work with as the British guy shared his thoughts and ideas of what he wanted on his cake that reflected memories of his home country. Although cake flavors and fillings were decided months before the wedding, the bride and groom were able to refine their choices a couple of weeks prior to the event. I remember my SIL bringing in cell phone pictures of the cakes to the bride's room on wedding day. The response was, "OMG, she nailed it." and we all cheered. Guests compliments on the cake included, "who made those amazing cakes?" Maybe Nadine should consider a name change.

Our cakes were so beautiful and delicious! Working with Nadine and her staff was very easy. Nadine took the time to sit down with both my fiance and I and come up with ideas for both of our cakes. I had brought pictures of things that I had been thinking of for the main cake and she came up with the idea of combining elements of multiple cakes I liked to make something unique for me. She also sketched out something off of the top of her head for the grooms cake, as he wanted something Halloween themed since that was the day we got married. And let's not forget about how the cake tasted -- to die for! Both cakes were so moist and rich, we ate the left overs for days and regret nothing!

Our grooms cake and bridal cake were amazing! Everyone kept asking "who made the cake?". Nadine and her staff are very professional and make wonderful cakes! I can't wait to have more of my wedding cake on my one year anniversary! Thanks for everything
