It was the perfect venue for us. Intimate but not cramped, stunning architectural details in and outside. I was a big fan of the large porch overlooking the skyline, and pleasantly surprised that it worked out so well as a space to dance around in towards the end of the evening. Roger was exceptionally helpful, good-natured, considerate, and made sure things ran smoothly for us and our guests on the day and days leading up to the ceremony and reception. I would recommend this to any couple interested in vintage charm and romantic touches.

Then we toured this venue and we got in the car and looked at each other, immediately called our investors (my parents), and booked.
Our wedding was wonderful because of this place and the people who help make it happen. The owner makes you feel like a friend, the vendors he works with are all the highest of caliber, and the day of makes you feel special and expensive. There isn't a tip big enough to show our gratitude for all the people who made our event possible and it is all because we booked this venue. If you want an intimate wedding, there is no other option in the area that can come close.

Roger was such a pleasure to work with, his planning and coordinating made the lead up to, and the day of the wedding as stress-free as it possibly could be. He made sure everything got done without being pushy, he offered great insights and recommendations without being overbearing and he was such a wonderful person to interact with. The venue itself is stunning and made for such a beautiful day, we truly cannot recommend this venue (and Roger!) enough. We will never be able to the think about NKY without thinking about the Wiedemann Hill Mansion.

One of the best moments was when we had to take a schedule detour for everyone to head out to admire the sunset. We were fortunate to have a sky full of warm orange clouds (~8pm) followed by the beautiful cincy skyline at night that was surprisingly lit up by fireworks at around 9pm!

g there, the history and gorgeous details of the house are like nowhere else in Cincinnati. I have been recommending this venue to every engaged friend I know. Not only is the mansion beautiful, but Roger was the BEST planner/coordinator we could’ve possibly asked for. His vendor recommendations, his thoughtfulness, and his infectious kindness and laughter were some of the best parts of the day. Everyone who interacted with him gushed to me about how wonderful he was. I was so relaxed and didn’t have a single worry leading up to and during the wedding because Roger was so prepared and confident, I knew the day was in good hands. Also shout out to the AMAZING bartender Alex! I got compliments all night long, and despite the fact I have been sober for almost a year, he went out of his way to make sure my drink was never empty and I had every non-alcoholic option I could ever want. The view, the gorgeous interiors, and the rich history were all things that finally led us to choose this as our venue for our wedding. But, above all else, was the venue owner - Roger Swonger. He went above and beyond to make our day as special as it possibly could be, and with his help, our wedding day went absolutely perfect. With just one planning session, and a couple of tours, Roger was able to guide us through the perfect day. He communicated well with all of the vendors, was able to provide an amazing wait staff, and bartender, and even thought of the small details - placing some flowers on our small wedding cake, putting a pen by the guest book, etc.
Most importantly to us, as a now husband and husband duo, was finding a venue that was accepting. This was Roger to a tee - not only did he treat us with kindness, he guided us towards other LGBTQ+ friendly vendors as well. With his support and guidance, we had a wedding that completely surpassed our exceptions of what a wedding could ever look like in an area like Kentucky. I don't think there is any universe where we could have had a better wedding, and this is all thanks to Roger, and all thanks to having our wedding ceremony at Wiedemann Hill Mansion.

He is responsive, knowledgable in the hospitality space and makes you feel like you're in good hands through out the entire process. We had a bit of a panic attack after a printing mishap with our invitations and when we reached out to Roger he helped get us right back on track (even though the printing error had nothing to with the venue).
I wish I could give 10/5 stars to this venue and venue team!

process. We had our ceremony and reception here--the perfect size for a small, intimate, family-only wedding (45 guests)...we felt like we were at a family member's home! We appreciated all the provided items that were first class: fabulous linens; lovely serving trays; plates, silverware and chargers that were far from the standard boring white stuff you get at a huge reception hall. Wiedemann Hill is so beautiful, we didn't have to decorate or buy extra flowers or centerpieces.

I'm only giving this place 4 stars because of the 60 person maximum which includes your bridal party. I had to have a great majority of our guest be reception only. I know the house has limited space but I had just a couple people over and they were very firm so I had to make some sacrifices there. Overall, it's still a beautiful place and I recommend it for small weddings or even a rehearsal dinner venue!

Donna, Roger, and Katharine are FANTASTIC to work with. Their philosophy is very much "we do it for you" and they are truly customer oriented. They were so helpful, willing to meet almost any time day or night, and accommodate almost any request. The mansion is also so beautiful, that it will save you tons of money on flowers and décor. I chose to make a lot of my centerpieces and other décor, and Donna and Katharine made sure everything was used and placed just as I wanted it. But honestly, you don't have to do ANY décor or flowers if you don't want to; the mansion is beautiful just as it is. You won't need a DJ either, they take care of the music. Truly the best value in a wedding venue to be found in Cincinnati, you get a beautiful venue, talented coordinators who run everything for you, décor, DJ, all in one!!
I simply can't say enough good things about this wonderful place and these wonderful people. If you want a beautiful, small (the space does have a strict limit of 60 people), intimate wedding, this is THE place to do it in Cincinnati.

We had a wonderful experience working with Katherine and Donna to plan our wedding. They were so attentive to our needs and willing to accommodate any idea we came up with. Neither my husband nor I grew up in the Cincinnati area, so all of our family travel for our wedding and for many of them it was their first visit to the area. The Wiedemann was so welcoming and left a great impression on our out of town visitors. Many of them saying this was the best wedding and the most beautiful venue they had ever been to. I would highly recommend the Wiedemann for any event. Looking forward to hosting an anniversary party there in a few years!!

the team did a wonderful job. They made us feel welcome through the entire process and took care of drop off appointments for all of our vendors. They let me drop off all wedding things (my dress, guest book, decorations, etc.) during the rehearsal. When I got there on the big day, everything was already set up and ready to go, from the centerpieces to the guest book. They even helped cue our ceremony musicians too. They were very professional.
This place is truly perfect for a small wedding. They do top at 60 people, so keep that in mind. We had to trim some numbers off our guest list, but it was worth it. We would wholeheartedly recommend the Wiedemann!

The view is spectacular, the architecture of the building is unique, the gardens are beautiful and the history makes the whole thing so unique. Donna and Katherine helped us plan every detail and coordinated all our day-of deliveries. They truly are professionals and they know how to make the day go smoothly. We really felt through the entire process that they personally cared about all the details. It felt like our good friends were planning the wedding and there with us to make it go smoothly. I cannot stress enough how well the entire evening went. It's worth mentioning the great value of having a wedding here as well. Not only did we get a beautifully decorated venue, but the ceremony was here too and they handled parking, chairs, the sound system, music, coordinated catering, they provided linens for the table, the silverware, the cleanup and so much more. You really get a complete full service package and there isn't much else to worry about. The smaller venue size meant we got to interact with each guest and for anyone discounting this venue based on size I would strongly urge you to consider the benefits of having a smaller wedding and getting to personalize things a bit more. We will forever remember the night at Wiedemann Mansion and the people that made it happen. It was beyond perfect.

The inside of this mansion is both stunning and historical. Your guests will find all kinds of conversation pieces both inside, and on the giant porch that overlooks the city of Cincinnati. We had several of our guests approach us throughout the night telling us that this was the best wedding they've ever been to. We aren't just tooting our own horn, but this place is that absolute best if you are having a wedding/reception for 60 people or less. You also must go with Funky's Catering, which was the most customer friendly of the 3 preferred caterers at WHM. Seriously, if you're looking to separate your wedding from all the other church, beach, park, and backyard weddings....go with this place! You and your guests will be talking about it for a long time.

the outside but the inside is even better. Stain glass windows, wood inlaid floors, hand carved mantels and the list goes on. Beautiful bride and groom rooms to get your evening started in style.
Also included was an event planner that made being a bride a stress free job. The event planner took care of contacting the caterer , music, timeline, place cards, top of the line linens and flatware etc...
I was even able to drop everything off the evening prior for a stress free wedding day. All I had to do was simply show up.
If you are looking for a one of a kind elegant and intimate occasion, this is certainly the venue for you. I generally don't write reviews but was so impressed, especially after the photos returned, that I wanted to give back a small token of my appreciation. I even try to think what next event I could host at the Wiedemann House. Happy shopping.

unt for getting married in the winter. The ceremony for indoor weddings takes place on the staircase with all the guests standing around, and it makes for a super intimate, romantic and unique setting.
Something for other brides to keep in mind is that they can host a maximum of 60 guests, so that may be difficult for some; however, if you can manage to cut down your guest list, it is definitely worth it.
The one downside was the new wedding coordinator that they hired. While she is experienced and helpful, neither me nor my family members liked working with her (and I typically get along with everyone). If she had been working there when I first visited the mansion, I would've had second thoughts about booking the venue.
All in all though, I am very pleased with the services we received at the mansion, and the wedding could not have been more beautiful!

ible, the Mansion is beautiful and the owners Donna and Roger are great. Donna was always very responsive to any questions we had planning along the way. We had a few meetings to check in over the course of the year of planning. Our day of coordinator, Katherine, kept everything moving, made sure everyone was where they needed to be, and helpful in anything that we asked for. We got so many comments on how gorgeous our venue was, and one of my guests said it was legitimately the nicest wedding she had been to. During our last dance, there ended up being fireworks downtown which everyone loved. The timing was perfect! Our photographer made a comment that wedding parties travel all day to get the photos that we were able to get in one location with the garden and the views etc. We are so glad we booked Wiedemann Hill Mansion and thankful that we got to work with Donna, Katherine and Roger!

verything was so beautiful and perfect! Roger, her assistant, was also wonderful! We could not have been more pleased with how everything turned out! They are a great team and were able to give us the wedding of our dreams! I HIGHLY recommend them if you are wanting to have a small, elegant wedding.

the mansion and its many rooms. Donna and Roger are amazing and have thought of everything imaginable to make your day a one-of-a-kind celebration. We received many compliments from our guests, and continue to receive compliments from those who have seen our pics. this place is just absolutely the perfect place for smaller weddings and the service you receive is warm, friendly, outstanding. (One last thing...b/c of the beautiful decor and setting, there are endless amounts of photo opps at this place. Absolutely gorgeous lighting and romantic backdrops here).

extra special. From the moment I stepped into the front doors of the Mansion I knew I must have my wedding there! The grounds, view and mansion were breathtaking. I didnt even consider looking at any other venues. The quality of service far surpassed my expectations. Donna was there every step of the way, she is truly an expirienced professional and very easy to work with. I planned my wedding from out of town and she was very flexible with meetings and always answered my emails promtly! It was such a stressfree expirience. Donna made sure every aspect of the wedding was covered, she was very organized which really helped to ease my mind on the big day. Everything ran smooth on the day of. An amazing place to get mairried with an even more amazing staff! Thank you so much Roger, Donna & Roger for everything!!!

s perfect. Donna makes the planning so easy and straightforward. There were no surprises the day of, and Donna did a great job of balancing being available if necessary and not being in the middle of everything. It was nice to be able to have everything in one location and most everything be included in the price. If you are having a small wedding (60 people max) and like the view of Drees Pavillion, definitely check out WHM. For the price and quality, it cannot be beat!

the owner) was amazing… professional and thorough, she was like having a built-in wedding planner! We live in Alaska, and she helped us get a gorgeous wedding together all over email! The venue is beautiful, immaculately decorated, and has a great view of the skyline! Donna has fantastic attention to detail and organization capabilities, and ensured that everything ran smoothly. Her husband, Roger, was our emcee and was equally as helpful and professional! They were flexible and a wonderful addition to our party, so easy to work with that it felt effortless! We had an awesome, perfect day, and it wouldn't have been possible without the Wiedemann Hill Mansion!
