We had a wonderful experience with Wild Flower. Jackie and Tabor were great resources and were fully committed to making our vision a reality. Guests thought the atmosphere was l...
ovely and raved about the food. Would highly recommend! The ONLY down side is that there is no elevator to get up to the loft, so if you have any guests who cannot climb stairs you may have a problem.
We had our wedding here in October 2016. Let me say first that the newly appointed event manager Jackie was so sweet and did her absolute best in trying to get everything together,...
given that she took over our event about a month before it was supposed to occur. Had they had a proper amount of staff, the night would most likely have gone so much smoother. My three main complaints about our wedding are these:
1. When I began the process a year in advance with Wildflower, Tabor was the coordinator. At first she was great, answered all questions and was very helpful. Then Wildflower began over working her to the point where I couldn’t get a hold of her for weeks at a time. I had to contact her about our menu tasting as I hadn’t heard anything from her in months. Then about a month or so before our wedding, we get an email saying she is no longer managing wedding events, and to speak to David. Well, we meet with David and then a week later find out he too is no longer going to be doing events, so we felt as if our wedding got pushed down on the level of importance to the Wildflower.
2. We were told we could not get into the room until 3pm due to another event that morning, but that the tables would be out and ready for us – totally acceptable and workable, or so we though, until my relatives showed up to set up at 3pm and the previous event was still there, dirty tablecloths everywhere, and people not wanting to leave. My relatives almost missed our evening ceremony trying to get this mess straightened out and the room set up in time. That being said, the room looked beautiful when they were done with it, and I am thankful I had family members willing to help out like they did.
3. Our event was severely understaffed. We had under 100 guests, and the dinner service took probably 1.5-2hrs out of the 4 hours we had, not to mention the waiters seemed confused as to how to serve. They brought out the first course sporadically, and did not serve the head tables first. When the main course came out, the chicken was great, but the steak was raw. I had two guests that were pregnant that could not eat their meals. My father sent his back twice before giving up since the rareness of his steak had not changed. Not to mention how long it took to get the food out in the first place – again I believe this is due to our event being understaffed.
4. Another sign of understaffed and unprepared was the bar – we had a full open bar, which was supposed to be stocked the whole 4 hours. On more than one occasion the bar was completely unmanned, and people were just standing there waiting . One of my relatives even said he had time to go back and make his own drink, and make a bunch of drinks for people who had been waiting, before any staff ever returned. On the flip side, the drinks being poured that night were strong – so all of our guests were happy about that!
If I had known all this would happen, I would have chosen a different venue and saved myself a lot of stress. With that being said, and aside from the dinner service/bar debacle, I had a great time dancing and being with family at our wedding. Jackie was a wonderful manager who was incredibly responsive and I know was doing her best given what the venue gave her to work with, especially in terms of staff.
We had an amazing experience with the staff of wildflower! They are amazing at what they do! Our event could not have been more perfect!!
The Wild Flower was everything we were looking for in a venue. We wanted to have the ceremony and reception at the same place, so we rented out the entire facility to give our gue...
sts (approx 90) plenty of room to move about. The loft is absolutely beautiful with exposed brick and lots of windows, which let in the natural light at dusk. Tabor, the event coordinator, was so helpful and made everything easy. She helped ease any anxieties or concerns we had and was very communicative, answering the numerous questions that arose during the planning process. The food was delicious and the staff was great. I could not have asked for a better wedding.
We had our rehearsal dinner for 60 people at Wild Flower. Sadly, the entire event was a disaster. We worked with Tabor McBride from the beginning, who guaranteed us (multiple times...
) that she would be there for the event. When we arrived at the start of our rehearsal dinner, the room was not even close to being set up. It was at this point that we were told that Tabor wasn’t going to make it. The reason? Her boyfriend scheduled a surprise weekend trip and she had left town. The crazy thing is that I had JUST spoken to Tabor the day before to finalize details and she said absolutely nothing about this. Not only was this shockingly unprofessional, but I have not heard from Tabor since (or gotten an apology). Since Tabor decided to leave town for the weekend, she left our event with Joe, who absolutely tried his best, but who was not prepared to handle a private party of 60 people (not that I can blame him). I had to keep getting up from my seat to remind the servers/Joe of what they should be doing (e.g., reminding them to start the passed hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour, asking about 5 times for the children (all under 4) to get their food). The rest of the food took forever to come out, and there was about a 45 minute delay from when the first table got their food to when the last table (where my in-laws were seated) got theirs. At this point, the food was cold and people were sending food back to get reheated. It was also freezing in the room. I asked the staff repeatedly to make it warmer, but it never seemed to help (most of the women ended up wearing their husband/boyfriends' sports coats, despite the fact that it was about 75 degrees outside that night). I had also been assured that during dinner, the bartender would walk around with wine to refill people’s glasses. I looked over during dinner and he was drinking a soda and playing on his phone. I asked him to circulate- which he did, but the point is- I shouldn't have had to ask. This isn’t even the complete list of issues, unfortunately. The good things about Wild Flower are that the food (when served hot) is delicious and the private room is really lovely. I feel terribly that I can’t leave a glowing review, but the entire experience was pretty awful. Bottom-line- if you want to try Wild Flower, go for dinner with friends and find someplace else for your important event.
The Wild Flower was an absolutely perfect reception venue! We had a small-ish wedding, about 90 people, and there was plenty of room for dinner and lots of dancing! The loft space ...
looks beautiful in person and in photos, with exposed brick, fireplaces and large windows looking our over the CWE! The food and service was incredible. I cannot say enough good things about the event coordinator, Tabor McBride... she was incredibly helpful and eased my anxieties about planning the perfect reception!

ughout the planning process...and everything was set up beautifully. Prices were reasonable too. We wouldn't have asked for more!
The food was FANTASTIC (made our wedding food look bad, in fact!), and the service was fast for so many people. We were supposed to be sitting outside but ended up inside due to r...
ain the night of our rehearsal, so it was a bit cramped but they accommodated us beautifully. They kept the wine flowing and served food quickly (while still leaving time to mingle at the beginning of the meal). I absolutely loved coming here for the rehearsal--my father-in-law picked it out and now I want to recommend it to everyone and come back for a special date with my husband in the future.
The only downside that I can think of is the lack of close available parking. Street parking the the CWE is a bit hard to come by and it was crowded the night we were there.
During our time, we had three different wedding reception coordinators. All three were very nice, however there was a learning curve both times a new coordinator assumed their po...
sition. Ultimately there was a mixup on our reception menu and the night of our wedding and our guests didn't eat what was planned. Overall, very nice people. Good food. Unfortunate timing on our part.
The Wildflower was exactly what we were looking for -- simple but elegant . . . and not the over-done traditional wedding venue. The staff was amazing every step of the way from...
suggesting creative options that stood out from the ordinary (food room set up flow of the event) to carrying out every detail (including turning the loft space from ceremony to reception set while the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the downstairs restaurant). When we returned the next morning they had all of our decorations boxed and labeled for us and helped us carry them out.;We pre-purchased parking tokens from the Wildflower for the parking garage down the street (parking is limited in this area) -- but really didn't need 1/4 of what we purchased. Depending on the day of week and season you could probably save money there! But that was truly the only thing I would have done differently at the venue!
