Wild Ginger Weddings

I can't say enough GREAT things about Wild Ginger. We started looking for a florist over a year before our wedding and one florist was recommended to us numerous times, but then ended up being booked. That florist and a friend recommended Wild Ginger and we could not have found a better florist for us. Carolyn worked with us to really understand what we wanted and worked with us on our budget. My husband and I aren't big flower people, so we didn't have too many thoughts, but we just wanted a few touches to make the day pop. We also needed a chuppah and Wild Ginger was the only florist who didn't laugh at that request. I was super appreciative for that. On the day of, I had zero idea what to expect for the flowers, but they were fantastic. The colors and size of the bouquets were what we asked for and Carolyn was even able to find some orange blossoms, which was didn't even think would be possible. Carolyn also worked with us to tell us the flowers beforehand so that we could get instructions on how to properly dry them for some preservation pieces. If you made it this far, know that Wild Ginger is who you should work with because they are rockstars and magical flower fairies who can bring your ideas to life!

Carolyn was amazing! She captured our vision perfectly. I wanted succulents in my bouquet and centerpieces and on the cake (basically everywhere) and she went above and beyond, making everything so beautiful. She even did little flower crowns for the flower girls and they were so cute. Everything was perfect!!

Carolyn was so easy to work with and designed the most beautiful florals for our wedding! She got the look perfect for what I wanted. She worked with me to ensure I could stay within my budget while maximizing the impact of the floral pieces. I was stunned by her design and the final look of everything!

Carolyn is a flower wizard. When we began the wedding planning process, we had a “blank canvas” venue and the desire to fill it with flowers, but we were completely floral illiterate. Carolyn was able to sit down with us and guide us through a series of questions (with examples!) until we were able to translate our tastes into an actual plan. She did a venue walkthrough with us and came up with creative ways to transform the space into the cozy floral cocoon of our dreams. She also had lots of helpful advice on ways to maximize our budget, including specific floral choices and ways to repurpose arrangements between the ceremony and reception spaces. We loved working with her and can’t recommend her work enough!

Obsessed with my wedding flowers! I took a very hands off approach and let Carolyn do her thing. Very glad I did. Bouquets and boutonnières were lush, delicate, and stunning!

Working with Carolyn of Wild Ginger was wonderful, and the floral arrangements she did were incredible. We didn’t have strong opinions about colors, flower types, or designs, but wanted someone who would put together something seasonal, sustainable, and local. She has a passion for sustainable agriculture, so was an obvious choice for us. We didn’t give her much direction beyond that, and she knocked it out of the park. She showed us likely flowers and colors ahead of time and gave us photos of flowers as they started arriving week of the event. She gave good instructions on keeping the flowers fresh and how to hold to bouquets properly. It was so nice to be able to hand off the design and decision making to a professional.

I can't say enough good things about Wild Ginger and Carolyn. We originally were going to do the florals for our wedding ourselves but their booth at the off white wedding show caught our eye and after talking with Carolyn our mind changed instantly. She gave us options that worked with our budget and truly brought our ideas to life! We wanted something different from what we had seen at other weddings and when I got to see everything on the wedding day it was even better then I had imagined.

Carolyn from Wild Ginger Weddings was a dream to work with for our wedding. She was so communicative and her vision is incredible. She created a inspo board for us to look at and see what she was envisioning and asked for feedback through the whole process. Her arrangements were stunning! I could not have been more impressed and happy with how they turned out. Carolyn got almost all of our florals and greenery from our local area and even grew some of the flowers for our wedding in her backyard which is no small feat for a December wedding! It was such an incredible experience to have her do the florals for our wedding. We loved that she shared our values of sustainability and local harvesting. We are so appreciate and in awe of her work and we’re so grateful for the opportunity to work with her on our wedding.

I LOVED the flowers and designs that Wild Ginger Weddings dreamed up and created for our wedding. Loved, loved, loved them. Carolyn was so patient and supportive, working with me through my sometimes-chaotic long-distance wedding planning. The heart of my review is this: do not hesitate to work with Carolyn at Wild Ginger Weddings! She is resourceful, smart, caring, conscientious, and crafts the most amazing flower arrangements! I couldn't have hoped to work with a better florist (and person!) than Carolyn. She is incredibly knowledgeable about flowers and flora of all kinds, and it shows in her work! When I first met with her, I really didn't have a clear idea of the flowers I'd want, and she kindly guided me through a series of questions that helped us both narrow in on a concept. I was so impressed when I showed her a picture of the floral bridesmaids dresses, and she identified the type of flowers in the pattern and offered to incorporate them in my bouquet! I loved that consulting with Carolyn felt like having an interesting conversation with an interesting person, not like conducting a business interaction with a vendor who's busy with lots of other things. My number one priority in flowers was that they be as locally sourced as possible. Carolyn went above and beyond with this and even sent me a beautiful note the day of the wedding explaining where the flora in my bouquet was sourced from. She crafted me the most incredible and lively bouquet in the dead of winter using impressively local flowers and branches!

For our wedding we wanted something a little more natural and wild than your standard formal bouquets, centerpieces etc. Thank goodness we connected with Wild Ginger. Carolyn doesn’t just go to the wholesaler downtown and pick up the same roses and peonies as everyone else. She harvested a good portion of the greenery and natives from her own wild yard, and the result are these totally unique arrangements that put Missouri flora front and center. You realize it is not all about blossoms, it is about seedheads, ferns, an array of textures and shades of green, the overall composition. Of all our vendors Carolyn was the easiest to coordinate with. We knew what things cost, what we were getting, when it would be there. Gorgeous arrangements and no drama. Worth every penny.

Wild Ginger Weddings did such an amazing job with our wedding – we recommend them without reservation! The arrangements and bouquets were so beautiful and unique – Wild Ginger incorporated native plants and flowers from Missouri and even designed a custom wreath for our wedding arbor (and we loved the wreath so much that we let the blooms dry, and hung it on our wall for the year after our wedding!) Early on in the planning process, we didn’t have a clear vision of exactly what kinds of flowers we wanted, and Carolyn (the owner) was extremely thoughtful in helping us figure out how the flower arrangements could highlight our style as a couple and create the vibe that we wanted to bring to our outdoor wedding, while staying within our budget. On the day-of, they were prompt, professional – and managed a bit of unexpected rain during the set-up time without flinching -- and everything was gorgeous. We really had a great experience, and can’t recommend Wild Ginger highly enough.

The Wild Ginger team were incredible! They were so thoughtful in their planning, coordination, and taking time to discuss options and budget. I don't know much about flowers and didn't have a plan, so they came up with a vision, designed absolutely everything and then made their vision come alive. They even helped me find ways to weave my something new, old, borrowed and blue into my ceremony by finding ways I could build them into my beautiful bouquet and chuppah. The team worked so hard and they didn't just decorate the venue - they built the atmosphere with their hard work and beautiful designs. I am so thankful for Wild Ginger, and I could not recommend them highly enough!!

I highly recommend Wild Ginger Weddings for your wedding flower needs! Carolyn is thoughtful and fun to work with. In the planning stage, she asked me questions I hadn’t considered before that ensured the look and feel of the designs were just right. Carolyn was also more than happy to work with local, environmentally-responsible flower farms - and she knows some personally! - which was a priority for me. I was blown away by the bouquets, boutonnières, and centerpieces and received numerous compliments on them. I can’t recommend Wild Ginger Weddings enough!
