Gabby took over our planning. Both were so great to work with. Gabby is very detailed oriented which we appreciated and helped to make our big day go so well. We had buffet style for our food. Due to weather, our dinner time had to change a little and somehow all the food still turned out amazing!!!!! We chose filet and crusted halibut for proteins. If you know filets, you know it can be difficult to prepare but ours turned out perfect!! We had to order in our cupcakes from another vendor and Wild Horse set up all the deserts when it was time. Gabby helps you work through details that you may not have thought of to ensure the best service. We had numerous guests state it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. We would recommend Wild Horse to anyone!

rer near our mountain location, we honestly could not have found better had we been in the middle of a big city. The food was delicious, it made me so happy that my father thought it was the "best chicken he's every had," (he paid for it, I wanted him to LOVE it and he did!). They also made my cake (a "naked" almond and chocolate cake with fresh berries and pastry cake) DELICIOUS AND SO PRETTY, and provided options for our gluten free family members. The catering coordinator Shelby was lovely and went above and beyond, her crew dressed the tables so elegantly and did a great job with serving and clean up. For our small wedding, this was the greatest expense, it was reasonably priced and worth every penny for the lasting great memories we'll have forever! Thank you, Chris, Shelby and team!!

The food was amazing and we had many guests telling us it was the best food they have had at a wedding. We choose the salmon, pork and stuffed peppers and everyone loved what they ordered. They offered fantastic options for our many vegetarian and vegan guests; they even had very tasty vegan cupcakes. The bartender and staff were excellent and I could not recommend this team more. They handled our guests dietary requirements with ease and organized the dinner beautifully. A big plus for us is that you can bring your own alcohol!

l Dinner and the Wedding. Every single event went extremely smoothly and the food was fantastic. The team at Wild Horse really made our wedding weekend and I can't thank them enough. They do not shy away from working closely with you on logistics and take the time to make sure everything is planned to a T. Do not for a second try to bring a caterer up from Denver for an event in Grand County, hands down Wild Horse is better than anyone you bring up!!

se when I was shopping for a caterer and read the reviews for Wild Horse, most were by people who stayed at their bed and breakfast and were married on-site. I was wishing for insight about their capacity as an off-site caterer, so I want my review to serve as feedback for their off-site catering capabilities. First and foremost, the food was EXQUISITE. Our guests ALL commented on the food during the wedding, and people are still talking about it a month later (one guest called and asked if I could get the recipe for the stuffed mushrooms and squash gratin). If having amazing food at your wedding is important to you, these guys are your caterer. We did a tasting ahead of time -- which I highly recommend doing -- and were able to select the dishes we really loved, and get a little more excited about the big day. I also want to mention how incredibly professional the Wild Horse staff was. From the owner, Chris, who handled our initial inquiry and menu questions, to our event coordinator, Brigitte, to our catering staff the day of the wedding, we were uniformly impressed with how detail-oriented and professional the entire staff was. During the planning process, communication was always prompt and professional. We had some tricky logistical issues with the venue, and Brigitte worked hard to ensure that everything went off without any trouble AT ALL. The day of the event, the staff ran completely on auto-pilot. One of the catering staff even kept an eye on our aisle runner, periodically straightening it out so that people wouldn't trip over it. Little details. These guys were amazing. It also bears clarifying that we did not hire a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. We were so pleased that the caterer was able to just show up, set up, and be amazing, without any direction from a wedding planner. Finally, I want to vouch for the price and value. We did shop around, and after speaking to several astronomically expensive mountain caterers, we were so happy to find that Wild Horse had many options for catering our event without charging $100 per head. We splurged for hot hors d'oeuvres, but could have easily kept the event under $35 per guest. And the food tasted like it cost a fortune. I hope all this detail helps those of you out there shopping for the perfect caterer. Good luck!

e gave us came in handy. Our guests all complimented us on the food, everything looked lovely, and the staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to make our night amazing. Brigitte was our Catering Manager for the weekend, and she was ON TOP OF IT. At the end of the night, I had nearly 300 ball jars that needed to be packed up, and she and her staff helped take everything down and pack everything up. I have ZERO negative things to say about Wild Horse. They are on top of it, organized, reasonably priced, calm (which you will need), and helpful. Loved, loved, loved working with these guys!!!!

f you use Wild Horse, make sure that you get a 'rough estimate' in writing when you first sit down with the owner to discuss possible costs. We signed our contract in March after sitting down with Chris (Wild Horse owner) and going through a detailed breakdown of what the approximate costs would be (however, we never got a copy of this). Several weeks before our wedding in October, we got a final bill from Wild Horse, and we were shocked that the total was almost double the amount we had discussed in March! We had a heated discussion with Chris from Wild Horse about this. It was too close to the wedding date to find a new caterer and we managed to scrape together the extra money, but we were very disappointed that we were misled by Wild Horse from the beginning, thinking that our wedding would cost several thousand dollars less than what we had to pay. We should have gotten the initial estimates that Chris told us in writing. We are very careful with our money, and this was the only aspect of our wedding that was disappointing.

green beans, rolls, and a few appetizer trays beforehand. WHC also provided my cake, which was very tasty and decorated exactly how I wanted it in a simple, rustic design. The staff was very pleasant and ran the reception smoothly. I only had one slight snafu that my rentals were delivered a day early, and the venue had not had time to clean the reception tent floor yet, so my floor plan was altered the day prior to the wedding. Fortunately the groom and some good friends were able to rearrange everything the morning of the wedding, and from there Wild Horse had everything under control when they arrived that afternoon. Overall I'd definitely recommend them.
