After going through her portfolio, what really stood out was her ability to create a scene from something that is seemingly ordinary, as well as her attention to detail. The care she puts into capturing the feeling in each of her clients' major life milestones was so evident and simply stunning. Carly did both our engagement and wedding. We had the best time at 5 in the morning, drinking champagne down on the river walk in Pittsburgh. She was even so sweet to make sure our dog had her moment to shine. During the planning process, I expressed interest in having film photos, too, and Carly was quick to say "let's try it!" and we have both incredible digital and film photos from both days that we will cherish forever. We received our sneak peek for our wedding photos LITERALLY THE DAY AFTER THE WEDDING and our entire album within a month. When I tell you I was blown away going through the album I was BLOWN away. Of the seemingly millions of photos taken, every single one was composed in the most gorgeous, creative, and detailed way. When my husband and I went back through to create a favorites album, we had literally 800 in there. It's impossible to narrow down. Another thing that truly set Carly apart was her ability to make everyone feel at ease. First of all, my husband and I are not natural posers - she captured the most amazing portraits, but also incredible candids of us and our loved ones that I love equally. We had a wedding party of 23 plus us, and Carly and her second shooter's friendly, laid-back (but timely!!!!) demeanor made the whole process fun and relaxed. I even felt like I didn't waste my whole evening taking pictures, and yet there were SO MANY gorgeous, varied shots to go through. It was so amazing to have these memories captured and still get to fully enjoy the day that we worked so long in planning. Everyone says it, but your wedding goes by in such an amazing whirlwind; having Carly there to make sure that every bit of the day is captured in a way that is beautiful, natural and authentic was the best decision we made. You genuinely could not put a price on the memories that she was able to preserve for us - she is beyond incredible and we were so lucky to work with her. P.S. I really couldn't even decide on pictures for this post, how can I be expected to pick some for a book?!

y way and when we look at our photos, we feel that same love and joy we felt on our wedding day. To add to it, not only is she INSANELY talented, she is so kind and so fun. We are two people that feel a bit awkward in front of the camera and she made us feel so comfortable. Our engagement session was a blast and our wedding was amazing. I’d book her 10x over.

She was also able to edit a small number of specific photos based on my request, which made a frustrating moment from my ceremony seem like it never happened. The peace of mind from this alone is beyond worth it to me. I'd also like to add that Carly is an adventure/outdoor pro photographer. Even if you aren't scaling mountains or wandering into rivers with her for the perfect shot, she has such a good eye for beautiful nature that your outdoor garden wedding will be just as stunning as a Yosemite elopement. HIGHLY recommend, and will think of her for any future professional photo needs.

My husband is a sap and still tears up every time he looks at our wedding photos. I also must mention Beth! She is the best assistant photographer and hype girl (also magic with making your veil WERK)! Carly was one of the most important people at our wedding, we were grateful to have her capture our day! As a side note Carly is a Jack of all trades , she literally put me in my wedding dress and broke her nail in the process! I simply cannot say enough great things about Carly!!

Not only did she take amazing pictures to capture our special day, but she provided suggestions and insight into different wedding ceremony spots in Pennsylvania based on what kind of scenery we wanted. There is a minimal amount of posing, and most of the photos are candids of you and your significant other being yourselves. Carly is so much fun to work with and makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Not to mention, our photos are ALWAYS to die for.
