My husband and I absolutely loved this venue. They have two separate areas on the property, and you can use both for no additional cost. This meant our reception was in this second area, tucked into some trees and a covered patio. This made the reception feel like an entirely different venue, and it was so cozy and fun. There are also two rooms to get ready in, which made it really easy and fun for the bridal party to get ready at the venue.
The hosts themselves do a wonderful job taking care of the grounds. Everything looked so beautiful. CJ, who was the main person we communicated with, said repeatedly that she doesn't hover. For me, that was really nice. Once we got to the venue, she welcomed us and told us to call if we had questions, and besides her quickly responding to a sprinkler problem, we didn't hear from her for the rest of the day. If you are looking for a venue with a more engaging host, that is the only reason I wouldn't recommend this place. Everything else was perfectly lovely.
Overall, it was a wonderful day and I know that the venue we chose played a large roll in making it so great!
My fiancé and I have been looking for the perfect place for our wedding and we thought this was it. Boy were we wrong!! We live in Los Angeles but he is from Idaho, so we decided to do it there due to the plethora of nature and competitive pricing. I have been in contact with CJ for a while now. My mother in law visited the venue for us since we don't live in the state. We had looked at a few different venues but this WAS one of our top two choices. Don't get me wrong, it is beautiful and up until YESTERDAY, I thought this was our venue. We were finalizing the contract and had payment for the deposit ready to go but we needed to get some clarification before signing and committing to the venue. My fiancé called CJ to ask the final questions on the contract and she was rude from the get go. It seems as if we were burdening her by asking for help. Now, I don't know about you but if I am going to be spending a large amount of money, I want to make sure to double check everything. I think it is understandable to be wary especially since we have not been to the venue in person. The contract is numbered 1-15 , and my fiancé had a question about number 15. CJ immediately said there were no numbers on the contract and was combative. He asked if she had it in front of her and she said no and refused to pull it up. She then said she had another couple wanting the date and could not hold it for us. Mind you, we have never asked her to hold a date for us. The contract specifically states, "Reservation dates and times are on a first come first served basis, provided there is a signed contract and a deposit of $530.00". It seems she was just angry and defensive and instead of being helpful she would rather get rid of us and go with someone else who doesn't ask any questions? My fiancé told her we didn't expect her to hold the date and if the other couple was ready then we could easily choose a different date. We were not asking for anything unreasonable, just to go over the last details of the contract. I guess that is just too much work for CJ. My fiancé and her ended the phone call, and 15-20 minutes after she sends me a text message saying "This is Cj from Wild Rose Manor. Go Ahead with one of your other venue choices. I just don't think we are the right fit for you". I was devastated and broke into tears. There was no reason at all, I feel like she just personally didn't like us. We have been doing so much work and research for months to choose a venue only to get treated like this. It feels like a slap in the face. I guess the silver lining is that we saw Cj's true colors before signing the contract and placing the deposit. I would hate to imagine how she would be on the actual wedding day. If you are looking for your dream venue, BE CAREFUL when dealing with Cj. She does not care about you and just wants your money. We will be going with a more professional venue.
