When we say she is calm, the weather went from 65 degrees on Thursday to below freezing for the rest of our wedding weekend and you never would have known. She had every detail taken care of and we never had to lift a finger. We have Kate to thank for an amazing vendor team, a beyond fun planning experience and the most perfect day that we will remember forever!

While interviewing wedding planners, when we got off the phone with Kate, we turned to each other and immediately said, "We have to work with her." Her creativity and competence stood out to us, not to mention her energy and professionalism. Our Indian fusion wedding weekend was, to put it simply, a LOT, and Kate handled the complexity with aplomb. She planned a sangeet/welcome party that was essentially another wedding reception, a stunning ceremony, and our actual reception, not to mention a number of smaller ceremonies that required recall of and attention to innumerable details. She tirelessly went back and forth with our vendors to help us negotiate and fine tune proposals, and when we had some serious communication issues with our venue, part of a luxury hotel group, she pulled out the big guns, getting in touch with senior leadership of the group to make sure they were on top of it. At the same time (and without us knowing to save us the stress), she had even secured us a backup venue! One of things I appreciated about Kate most was that while ultimately she would always respect our wishes, she didn't shy away from politely pushing back or giving her honest opinion when we needed or asked for it. This manifested in an event that was truly spectacular and one of kind -- it felt current but also classic, without relying on any of the overly trendy wedding details that you see every day on Instagram. Our friends, family, and even our vendors have consistently told us that it was one of the most stunning, fun, and unique weddings they have been to, and that is 100% thanks to Kate's creative vision and execution. Eternally grateful to Kate and the Wild Sky team for their part in making our wedding weekend some of the best days of our lives.

I interviewed A LOT of planners to make sure we picked the right one. As a design professional, the design and look of the whole wedding was very important to me, but I had realized I could not plan the wedding myself and also run my business. I was drawn to Wild Sky’s website from the start because I could tell design and was important to them too. Their weddings were not cookie-cutter, but creative, sophisticated, and unique….you could tell that Kate drew inspiration from the couples’ visions and the venues, as well as other sources, not just what was ‘on trend’ in wedding design. Kate was very calm and easy to talk to from the get go and from her first conversation it was clear she understood our vision for our big day; a garden wedding and outdoor tented dinner (for 150 people, no small task!). Kate’s initial design ideas for an outdoor greenhouse look for the tent resonated with us immediately! I was still very involved with working through all the details (probably annoyingly so at times), but it was so nice that Kate and her team took the lead on presenting ideas/ options and communicating with vendors. Also, to have industry pros as our advocates throughout the process was invaluable. For example, the flowers were very important to us but I was having a hard time communicating specifically what we liked, and Kate was so helpful/ didn’t make me feel bad when we were on our 4th round of the flower proposal (and in the end the flowers were gorgeous!) As a designer I am also extremely detail oriented and I loved that Kate and her team were too! Kate had great ideas for each detail, down to the way our menu was wrapped to attach to the napkin so it wouldn't fly away. I loved that she was willing and able to work in a high/ low way…for example, we found some great pieces on Etsy to complement the items where we spent morelike flowers, furniture, and a balloon installation. I also liked how Kate pushed me design-wise at times…for example I probably never would have thought to choose marigold colored napkins but they ended up being one of my favorite pops of color! She also had great suggestions for subtle lighting to enhance the spaces and took the time to meet with the lighting installers (as well as the wedding venue team) ahead of time to make everything was fine tuned just right. She understands that making a memorable night is also about setting the mood/ lighting/ making everything feel seamless. Kate and her team even packed up all of our intricate wedding guest welcome boxes the week of our wedding when there was no way we would have had the time or energy to focus on it! When the wedding day came I was able to fully relax and just focus on the day/ my new husband/ our guests knowing that Kate and her team had everything under control and would be as picky as me about making sure every little part and piece was straight. Kate and her team worked so hard on our wedding day making sure everything was pulled off without a hitch. We will be forever grateful to Kate, Liz, Bridget, and Marta for helping make our day even more wonderful and better than we could have ever imagined. We highly recommend Wild Sky without hesitation to anyone who is looking to throw a beautiful and unique wedding, or any event for that matter!
