We used Alexandra for our wedding in the Finger Lakes region and had a fantastic experience. She has a unique eye and really made our vision of greenery and soft, natural florals come to life. She was incredibly accommodating and imaginative. We trusted her taste completely. We were on a budget and she managed to make the place look we weren't!
Don't go anywhere else for flowers. Alexandra is a kind of wedding whisperer. She listened carefully to the sophisticated style and mood I wanted to set at my wedding and put together a gorgeous proposal that essentially channeled my wishes. When we met in her studio, it was clear she had thought hard about the place where I was going to get married, and how to make it more beautiful. At the wedding, lots of people commented on my dress. But more of them commented on the flowers, including the ones Alexandra arranged for my hair. Thank you, forever, Alexandra.
I cannot recommend working with Alex highly enough. Alex is one of the loveliest and most thoughtful people I've ever met. She is also beyond talented. To say that I LOVED discussing the aesthetic of our wedding with Alex is a massive understatement. From our first phone conversation, to our subsequent site visit, to our final meeting where Alex put together an arrangement and my bouquet -- I was blown away by her work, focus, talent, and vision. She's also SO cool it's crazy. You will come out of your wedding day wishing for ways to work with Alex again! Alex’s profound understanding of color, flowers, and plants combined with her incredible vocabulary and artistic vision permitted her to turn my dreamy impressions of what I wanted my wedding to look and feel like into a coherent vision that far exceeded my wildest expectations.
Our guests, men and women alike, are still gushing about Alex’s work. Alex created another world. I spent years obsessively pinning pictures of floral arrangements I loved, but what Alex created brought me to tears. She’s truly incredible. I felt as though I had stepped into some kind of magical world the night of our wedding. Even better than what I dreamed!
It’s also important to note that Alex is beyond wonderful to work with; she’s accommodating, clever, competent, confident, organized, and a true problem-solver. She worked within our budget, and helped me figure out where to add drama and when to scale back. She created an autumnal wonderland without a pumpkin or gourd in sight!
Alexandra was one of the most incredibly talented people we have ever worked with. When we first got engaged, we knew that we wanted to have a very intimate and family-focused fall wedding but with 200 people, we weren't sure exactly how to go about making it feel intimate and cozy. We found Alexandra's work on pinterest and met with her at a coffee shop in Brooklyn. We spent over an hour discussing our ideas with her and she was extremely patient, creative, and thoughtful. We knew from that minute on we had to work with her. During our venue walkthru, she brought samples of the flowers that were absolutely spectacular and we had no comments or changes whatsoever - she just had such an amazing grasp of the style we were going through and went above and beyond.
I didn't think the flowers could be better than the samples until our wedding day when I saw my bouquet - I have literally never seen anything like it and it is still one of my favorite details from the day. In addition to the florals, Alexandra was an invaluable creative asset and day of, even helped us style homemade pieces of art and pottery from our family members in addition to the florals. She also made specialty pieces such as two garlands for us celebrate my dad's indian heritage.
Our guests told us that they were the most amazing florals they had ever seen and even now as we are showing people wedding photos, they aren't even focused on us but rather the flowers :) If you are considering any other florists, stop and hire Alexandra instead. She completely transformed our venue and we are so grateful to have worked with her to make our wedding stunning.
