We had our wedding ceremony on wedding island, and our reception in the Yellowstone room for 260 guests. It was beautiful. I think rental prices are extremely reasonable. I gave th...em a 4 for the value category merely because I didn't think the food was worth what we paid. We probably used the cheapest option for food, and it was about $26/plate. They also have very strict, but strait forward, rules towards outside food/beverage - there is absolutely none allowed... doesn't matter what it's for. Now, since wilderness ridge and employees provide linens, tables/chairs, silverware, and setup for no extra charge, I think the higher food cost seems a little more reasonable. They have tons of napkin colors to chose from, limited table linen colors. As far as alcohol, keg beer was at a comparable price to other venues ($275/keg for Bud Light) and mixed drinks were from $5.50/drink and up. They were easy to work with as far as setting up how we wanted to pay for our alcohol - we did a "capped" happy hour and free keg beer for the whole night.
Overall, I loved the setting for our wedding. I think a bride a groom with a little more money to spend on the venue could take more of an advantage of everything Wilderness Ridge can offer. The largest expense of our wedding, by far, was the food. The food, venue rental, and alcohol total ended up being around $14,000 for our wedding.
