About this vendor
Wildfolk specializes in flower compositions & art direction for weddings, events & exhibitions. Founded in 2013, by Caroline O'Donnell, with the notion of sharing flowers as art.
Caroline has a profound appreciation for nature’s transcendence, captivated by its inherent beauty. Often, you'll find her observing the movements of flora & reaching out to feel the infinite textures in different environments; studying every layer and color variation.
These experiences cultivate the foundation for her art; compositions that tempt touch, provoke conversation - awakening human connection by way of nature because both are fleeting.
Caroline is known for her heightened perception of color, use of texture, & movement. She sources from local landscapes & allows seasonality to guide her designs.

I had to send a few emails to finally get in touch with Caroline and confirm her as my florist but once I decided to go with her, she was super responsive and helpful. Not to mention, her floral arrangements are truly magical and artistic! She is not like any other florist out there and I just adore her style. She is truly talented and I have zero regrets spending the money and letting her take care of everything. She hand delivered my floral hair piece the morning of my wedding and was at the venue setting everything up to make sure it looked perfect. I received so many compliments and felt so relaxed knowing that she would be handling my flowers. One of a kind- absolutely reccomend.
Caroline was great but communication was really tough. A few things didn't happen the day of and it was a huge disappointment.
The quality and artistry behind our arrangements were still lovely,
I adored working with Caroline for my wedding. My bouquets, chuppah, and table settings were gorgeous, and so unique. Caroline took my color palette and vision for natural/rustic/New England foliage and created a stunning backdrop and decor for my wedding that surpassed my expectations. Thank you!!
Wild Folk Studio turned my venue into the beachy nautical theme I was dreaming of! Caroline works magic and did an amazing job. My flowers were perfect.
Would recommend?: Without hesitation!
Favorite part of working with Wild Folk Studio?: Easy, accommodating, and a memory-making delivery.
We met with Caroline over coffee a few months before the wedding to talk about what we were hoping for and to hear what she was thinking. It didn’t take us long to feel completely comfortable with what she was planning to do. She sent us some images to demonstrate what she was thinking, and then we were all set!
Caroline/Wild Folk Studio was an incredibly accommodating florist. Because we were having a private, early-morning ceremony followed by a larger reception later in the evening, we needed to get the bouquet and boutonnière the day before. She was so helpful in getting us the flowers we needed early, then delivering and setting up for the reception before we arrived - she even delivered extra boutonnières for the evening! It really couldn’t have gone more smoothly.
As for the actual flowers, arrangements, and set-up: everything was beautiful and stunning! It was exactly what we had hoped for, imagined, and thought about for the months preceding the big day!
We are so, so glad that we were lucky enough to work with Caroline at Wild Folk Studio!
when i got engaged, as soon as we set the date, the FIRST thing i did was email caroline and ask her to do my wedding flowers. i had read an article about her in "boston" magazine earlier that year and knew as soon as saw the pictures of her arrangements that i wanted her to do my wedding. she has a style that is similar to sarah rhyanen of saipua, which is to say that her flowers are dreamy, gorgeous, and look a bit wild, like they were freshly picked that morning. her arrangements are effortless and not at all tight or stuffy -- she combines wildflowers and foraged greenery with lush blooms and unusual textures and shapes. she's a natural talent at what she does.
the flowers were really the most important detail to me on our wedding day, and caroline absolutely nailed it. she went above and beyond what i could have ever imagined. we got married at the sinclair in harvard square, and i asked caroline to decorate the entire space, which meant the downstairs reception area, the upstairs dining room area, and the rooftop patio for the ceremony.
for the rooftop patio, she created a flower wall (!!!!!!) that was hands down the most beautiful thing i've ever seen anyone do with flowers. it was just wild and lush and stunningly gorgeous. my bridal bouquet was perfection. caroline's assistant hand-delivered it to my while i was getting ready in the hotel (along with the flower petals for our flower girl) and i cried when i laid eyes on it.
for the dinner setup, she created a ceiling installation that went above the head table and made the entire place feel just magical. the centerpieces on all of the tables were perfection. she also created a gorgeous garland that went up the stairs from downstairs, where we had the cocktail hour, to upstairs, where we had dinner. it was just magical.
every detail was perfect and i could not have asked for a better florist and person to work with. caroline was always extremely responsive every time i emailed her, and she went out of her way to be available whenever i needed her. she came to more than one meeting at the venue where we walked through the space and talked in detail about the vision. she's so passionate and knowledgeable about what she does. she was just a dream to work with and i can't recommend her highly enough!
There was never any question who we would choose to do the flowers for our wedding. Caroline from Wild Folk Studio was the first person I reached out to after we got engaged. I just couldn't image our big day without her stunning work. We knew we wanted a whimsical, romantic, natural feel for our wedding, and her flowers were perfect for that. I met up with Caroline in the evening after work for the first time, and at that point, I was still a bit scattered with all of the details. She really helped me to focus in on my vision, and I walked away from our meeting having a much clearer picture of what I wanted. Caroline followed up after our meeting with a detailed proposal of everything we had talked about along with a vision/inspiration board that perfectly summed up the palette and the feeling of the flowers that we discussed. Caroline and I communicated often throughout the planning process. Our wedding was almost two years after we first met and came up with the initial proposal, so quite a few things changed. She was so flexible and accommodating with the changes that we made towards the end, and updated our contract so that everything reflected our needs. I also had a few last minute crazy ideas, which she was completely open to, but always helped me to focus back to my initial vision. Caroline also helped us pick out really lovely, aged terra-cotta vases along with votives that tied everything together. The day of our wedding, she traveled over two hours to our venue in Connecticut. Our venue was a bit of a challenge to work with, as they only allowed an extremely tight window for vendors to set up. I was blown away with what Caroline and her team accomplished in such a short period of time. There were so many beautiful details throughout our entire venue, greenery and candles on fireplaces, in alcoves and on tables, flowers displayed on welcome signs, our menu board and seating chart. Even a little sprig on every napkin. Simply stunning. And of course, the arrangements and my bouquet were just amazing. Caroline made our neutral color palette come to life, not only with fresh gorgeous blooms, but texture and details to make every arrangement truly unique and elegant. We were told by many of our guests and even our vendors that the flowers were the most beautiful they had ever seen. Caroline is truly a master at what she does and such an artist. She really takes the time to understand her clients, their goals, and the surroundings of the venue to create harmony and pure magic. I also really appreciate her dedication to use in season flowers and to support local vendors. The focus that she has on the details makes a huge impact in her work. I'm excited to say that two of my friends are using Wild Folk Studio for their upcoming weddings, and I will continue to recommend Caroline to anyone I know.
Our florals + bouquets were absolutely stunning! We were extremely happy with Caroline's work. She is incredibly sweet and her floral arrangements are unique and beautiful. I definitely recommend her to those getting married in the New England area!
Simply put, Caroline is the best and did a spectacular job on the florals for our wedding.
To me, the flowers were one of the most important aspects of our big day and I knew how critical it would be to partner with a trustworthy vendor who also shared in my vision for the design. From the moment I met Caroline, I knew we were in good hands!
Leading up to the wedding, Caroline was extremely communicative and responsive. And when I changed my mind on some aspects of the color scheme and added components a few weeks leading up to the wedding, she was super flexible in making adjustments to the contract. She also visited our venue - twice - with a mock-up of our centerpiece arrangements and to pick up supplies a few days before the wedding. This saved us a ton of time as were maniacs trying to tie up loose ends before the big day.
On the wedding day, her team delivered our personal flowers to our hotel and I think I cried when I saw my bouquet. I smile every time I look at the bouquets in our wedding photos - they were just stunning. And everything stayed fresh all day!
The reception florals were no different. Caroline created spectacular garland to adorn the balcony at the venue and also for our long head table. She put together a kick-ass escort card display. Every table arrangement was lush and unique. And she also set up all our votives and other candle holders exactly in the way I had envisioned.
On top of all this, Caroline is just an absolutely lovely person. My husband and I really enjoyed chatting with her and hearing about her own upcoming wedding plans.
Since the wedding, my husband and I have both ordered flowers from Wild Folk Studio several times and we will continue to do so for many years to come!
I have no hesitation recommending Caroline and Wild Folk Studio - you will not be disappointed in hiring her!
As soon as I got engaged, I knew I wanted Wild Folk Studio to do the flowers. I had ordered flower deliveries for friends in the past and was always so drawn to the style. My engagement was pretty short (7 months) but as soon as I contacted Wild Folk, I was so happy to be able to be able to fit into their schedule (thank goodness with how busy summers are for weddings!) and discuss ways to work within my budget immediately.
For my outdoor, country wedding – Wild Folk’s style was perfection. I am not particular about flowers and my color pallet was very neutral to let the setting do the work and Wild Folk completely understood my no-frills style and after just a few conversations, was able to put an inspiration board together for the wedding flowers that I never knew I wanted so badly! I was never the girl who pictured her wedding her whole life, so getting this excited about flowers was a shock to me.
The day of the wedding couldn’t have been more perfect- Caroline and an assistant from Wild Folk were at the venue (2 hours away from Somerville) early, meeting my other vendors and getting set up. Since we didn’t have a wedding coordinator and it was at my parents’ house, having vendors you can trust is so essential and I never thought twice about my flowers leading up to the wedding. The floral runners complemented the hand-made barn tables amazingly and brought a sophisticated feel to a pretty down-home, country wedding. My bouquet was flawless and my bridesmaids bouquets were amazing even against their printed floral dresses.
My mother-in-law who offered to pay for this part of the wedding couldn’t praise Wild Folk’s work more and still talks about the flowers months and months after the wedding. Couldn’t be happier- and now recommending to all my friends!
Flowers were the element I was most excited about for my wedding (besides the whole getting married part!). I even picked May to get married in since that is when the flowers I love are in season. From the beginning I loved Caroline's work and her prices are pretty reasonable comparatively. She was also very communicative leading up to my wedding. However on the day of my bouquet was nothing like I had been imagining and died during the ceremony. Now I know flowers out of water die and that is why I wanted a bouquet of big blooms and eucalyptus leaves. Like full of eucalyptus leaves and while it did have some big blooms and a few eucalyptus leaves (they were hard to find) it was filled with this one white flower that pretty much died a few minutes after being out of water. Since she put so much of a flower in my bouquet that I didn't ask for, I wish she would have tested its durability for a bit first. My family photos immediately after the ceremony my bouquet was. Ask ally covered by this dead flower and looks horrible. I was also disappointed to see no ranaculus because that was one of my most requested flower. When I asked her about this she said the batch she got in was bad and it wasn't really the season for them. I don't get why she didn't go to another flower vendor, especially when she knew I really wanted them, and they were pretty much in season based on other florists I talked to. I noticed she used them for one of her next weddings and it like almost pained me.
For my huppah she was brining in a birch tree structure with gold leaf pots and an ivory cloth over the top. I guess the pots broke in transit so she just used the huppah at the venue because it was similar. But, I knew they had a huppah at the venue and I didn't want to use that one, which is why I paid to rent one from her. Their huppah is on wheels which I don't care for the looks of. She tried to cover the wheels with some of their tropical plants, but I really didn't like the look. She also forgot to put the ivory cloth over the top which was disappointing because for me that makes it a huppah and not just an arch.
The croages weren't what I had asked for either.
For my favors she was making gold leave little pots for succulents. When I looked over at the table during cocktail hour 90% of the pots were plain when I had paid for the gold leaving. When I asked her about this she said she thought it looked better with a mix. Which may have been true, but by the time I looked at it randomly almost all the gold leaf pots had been picked up.
She did a mantel for me that looked ridiculously kick ass and I thought the reception room looked pretty.
I waited a long time to write this review because I was so upset about the whole thing. I obsessed over Caroline's work on Instagram and thought I would get the same. I think be problem was she modeled my bouquet off of one picture she added to the contract and not the dozen I had on my Pinterest board. I just assumed it would be a mix and she would throw her flowing flower style in. What I got for my bouquet was a replica of one picture I didn't even select, with flowers that didn't last ten minutes out of water. I did tell Caroline about how disappointed I was and she did apologize. If I could go back I wish she would have offered a sample bouquet at some cost, I would have paid for that in a heartbeat, I just didn't think to ask.
Once I saw Wild Folk Studio’s work, I knew they were the perfect florist for our wedding! I wanted to be sure we didn't have the same old bouquets and centerpieces of roses and their asymmetrical, textured style really fit the bill. Caroline, the owner, and I met for coffee to discuss the project and she was such a delight to sit down with and talk wedding! I knew instantly our styles matched and felt confident she understood my vision. Caroline was able to take in everything I was looking for and come up with a proposal that fit my budget and needs versus trying to talk me into spending more. She was very flexible with design, offering to do both low floral centerpieces and high branch centerpieces with hanging candles.
Day of she was on time to our venue and had everything ready to be handed out! The flowers were beautiful, the birch chuppah she built was stunning and the centerpieces were really different and personalized to our taste. If I had one small “complaint” it was that dimensions of the bouquets were never really discussed and so I had a different idea in my head of what I would be receiving in terms of size. Apparently many other florists provide estimated measurements based on the cost to give you a better idea of what the money is getting you which I did not know. It may be helpful for brides to always request this type of estimate from any florist so expectations are in-line. Really more of my own fault than the florist’s, but hopefully a good tip to request that info so you know what to expect!
Overall I was extremely pleased with Wild Folk Studio. Caroline did beautiful, quality work. If you want stunning, unique florals for your wedding, this is definitely the right vendor for you!
I chose Wild Folk Studio for my wedding on August 30, 2013. I was beyond pleased with the flowers she used and the arrangements she created. Her taste was beautiful as well as fresh and her arrangements were flawless.
I started working with Caroline 9 months prior to the wedding. My work schedule didn’t allow me to meet with her during the week, so she was flexible in offering to meet me on the weekend. We sat and discussed the details of the wedding, I showed her my Pinterest board as inspiration for what I liked and Caroline took it from there. She gave me a quote within 24 hours of the meeting (unlike the other florist I met who required 2 weeks). She also made a personal Pinterest board for me with her ideas – just to ensure we were on the same page. She not only took my vision into consideration but she made it better – offering arrangements and recommendations that I would not have thought of, otherwise. Not to mention, keeping everything within my budget.
As the wedding approached, Caroline was extremely responsive in communication regarding the (many) questions that I had. She was available by both email and phone & she accommodated changes that I threw her way. She was always offering to do more - for example, she helped me choose the table # design. She had an idea to use a succulent as the table # base & then recommended a font type and stock paper to print the table #s on. On the day of the wedding, she arranged them on the tables. She also provided all vases that fit with my color scheme and my vision – searching antique markets for milk glass and adding gold color for an added flare. It was truly customized.
On the day of the wedding, Caroline was right on time at the hotel when dropping off bouquets & boutonnieres. She then set up all flowers at the venue. She even offered to come back later that night in order to help break down the tables & gather the vases. All in all, Caroline covered the bouquets, boutonnieres, Mother of the Bride & Grandmother corsages, centerpieces and ceremony décor (mason jars filled with flowers that hung from the outer chairs down the aisle). I have received so many compliments on the flowers – guests were so impressed.
I could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding and Caroline truly helped to pull my vision together. She went above and beyond what I could have expected. I would be more than happy to recommend her studio to anyone – she’s truly talented.
