est summer engagement session of all time. :) Our wedding was so fun, joy-filled, and beautiful, and she managed to capture exactly what it felt like to be there in her photographs! hen you focus on all of that of course you want someone to capture all of your hard work and all of the moments from your big day. I had become a big fan of Kayla's work when I started researching photographers in NO because it didnt look like everyone elses wedding photos. I loved how much fun people were having and how special the moments were. I knew candid photos of our guests having fun were the photos I wanted most of all. We chatted with Kayla over the phone one night and I could sense from that first chat how important it was to her to make sure she understood us and what we would want that day. We came to visit a few months later and met for a drink to tour our venue with her and scope out a few places to take pictures on the day. We stayed at the Hotel Monteleone a few blocks from our venue and knew we had to take pics there especially at the carousel bar, one of our favorite places in New Orleans. Kayla was so excited then and we continued to chat over instagram as I sent her ideas I'd see to add to her list. On the day she was an angel sent from Heaven always getting the shot just right and manuevering the french quarter with our fam and eventually the late night after party crew, like a BOSS. She was our own personal paparazzi that day and it really did feel like a girlfriend who knew us and how to make sure we were going to have the best memories of our wedding day photographed beautifully forever. I cried when we said goodbye at the end of the night because I had been drinking but also because I was incredibly thankful to her and our pictures are AMAZING (no big surprise there)
