We booked Wildwood over a year before my daughter’s wedding. We had trouble from the beginning with communication. After having to email repeatedly, we were told the GM retired an...
d the event coordinator and many others had been fired. I had to find this out on my own - no one contacted us.
From the beginning, the new GM kept telling us how much we were getting “free” because policies had changed. When we signed, all linens were included as was the bridal suite and unlimited coffee, tea and water were included in the buffet. We were constantly told how much we were “getting”. It was ridiculous. He actually tried to charge us $5/person for drinks and said he had it in his notes and he talked to us about. The pamphlet we got when we signed said they were included so no we did not talk about it. He is a bully.
When we booked we made sure to ask about parking and if there were other events with weddings. We were assured that no events coincided with weddings and we would have the parking lot. When I saw the lot the morning of the wedding I contacted the coordinator. The GM then came in and yelled at me the morning of my daughter’s wedding because I had gotten upset with the coordinator. He told me everyone was complaining. That was 100% not true. I was so nice to all the people that actually did the work.
Three events were going on the day of my daughter’s wedding. Our guests were told to keep their forks because they were running out. Guests had to wait on fruit too. Is that what you’d like for your daughter’s wedding?
Essentially we felt bullied during our entire experience. The GM took notes but no one ever saw them again so I had to repeat everything. I trusted nothing coming out of his mouth. When we finally got a tasting, the appetizers and desserts weren’t included. He blamed others but all was written down at the first meeting. He did not communicate.
We went through 2 event coordinators until a permanent one was hired one month before the wedding. I was relieved because she answered emails but it turns out she was in over her head. To be fair, the GM was horrible. He did not communicate. He talked and promised but you could never trust him to follow through. However, she got many things wrong and only looked at our file the week of the wedding.
The building is not maintained. The AC where we were supposed to have cocktails went out the day before and the GM just kept saying how much that was going to cost him. Don’t care! It was a 25 year old system with no plan for replacement until it just went out. They are putting on once-in-a-lifetime events. You don’t wait for equipment to fail. The bathroom stalls did not lock. I just kept hearing from employees I came across that they just started so knew nothing.
Our event was supposed to end at 8pm. The staff started cleaning up, taking waters and favors and decor and piling those are tables at 7:40pm. Our guests on the dance floor came back to empty tables and did not get the favors which were pricey bourbon balls. 25 of our 115 guests did not go home with those.
Then to top it off, they charged us for 116 guests when the final count was 115. That may not seem like a big deal but with all the other stuff, it put me over the edge.
The people that actually worked (and not just talked) were Steve and Aneith and they were wonderful to us and the guests. I feel bad leaving such a bad review because of them, but no family should book at Wildwood with that GM.
Wildwood is a beautiful venue and had sentimental value for me. The reason that I chose this venue is because my grandparents used to belong to this country club and I had very fon...
d memories of being there. The ceremony site on the golf course is top notch and was definitely worth the extra money to use. The reason I took a star away is because they were a little difficult to work with at times. I would ask a question and sometimes it would take days for the manager to get back with me. He also made some promises that he did not keep. For example: he told us that he would have his staff fold the napkins we rented and also set up the chairs for the ceremony space. He didn't do either one, but we managed because we had a Day of Coordinator and a family friend who helped us set up. Also, (I understand that COVID makes things a little more difficult) but they only had two people serving the buffet for my 159 guest list. It took my guests a very long time to get through the buffet line, so they were a little irritated about that. The food was fantastic though and all the staff was incredibly pleasant. Overall I was pleased with how the day went, but there are somethings that could be improved.
Wildwood was a great venue to have my ceremony and reception at. Reza, the manager, was difficult to work with at times, by not getting back to me and making changes that had been ...
promised to us close to the wedding date. They were very "hands off" the day of, but we made it work with the help of parents and our wedding party. It rained on our day, so we had to move the ceremony inside, but it turned out beautiful anyway! The banquet hall is such an elegant room to have your reception in if you're looking for a country club feel. Overall, I recommend this venue and wouldn't have it any other way.
It was truly a magical night!
Wildwood CC did a wonderful job! Reza and the staff were so easy to work with and went the extra mile to make our daughter's reception perfect. Along with Lloyds Florist, the room ...

We had a great experience with Wildwood. Reza, the manager, and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. Our day was everything we wanted!
I picked Wildwood best it was the perfect size, had everything in house, and I have heard nothing but good things about them. They met any expectation I had and I couldn't say enou...
gh good things about them.
Wildwood is such a beautiful venue. The high ceilings and wooden beams made it so nice and inviting and warm like a lodge for our winter wedding. The food was delicious, the servic...
e was great, and the price was unbeatable!
I've grown up as a member of wildwood so I knew immediately that I would have my wedding and reception there. It was beautiful, they even had the grounds keeper note what we wanted...
and had them take care of everything to our specifications. We had an open bar and a 3 course sir down meal served. The chef worked with us and helped come up with recipes they had never done and had us in for a tasting so we could tweak it how we wanted. We had a strawberry and goat cheese salad served on a field of greens, bronzed mahi mahi served with a lemon butter compound, Chardonnay chicken, rosemary potatoes, asparagus, rolls, and wedding cake. It was so good. They allowed my wedding planner to come in and revamp the venue with chandeliers, kissing balls, large tree branches and hanging florals over the dance floor. Beautiful doesn't even come close. The service was outstanding, the decorations breathtaking, and the food was great! Wouldn't change a thing!
