What a beautiful space for any event. Beverly (site coordinator) really knows her stuff, as she's been in events forever. We had originally booked indoor and outdoor space, but it ...
unfortunately rained on wedding day. Beverly had no problems with us changing our plan to celebrate inside. She was also so flexible with us all weekend!
If you're looking for a romantic and rustic outdoor venue with plenty of natural beauty, Wildwood Park is the perfect place! The events coordinator, Ira, was very easy to work wit...
h and helpful when it came to questions, set-up and day of craziness. They offer a variety of rental space. We went with The Green for the Ceremony and split the Reception up between The Pavilion and the North Lobby; all were perfect for the 100 in attendance. The scenery on the green overlooking the pond with the swans gliding by made a picturesque back drop. If planning a wedding here be prepared for outside catering, rentals, ect. It took a lot of organization, family help for set-up and DIY projects but that's the kind of personalized wedding we wanted. It turned out fabulous...most importantly we had fun. Wildwood Park is a hidden gem that I will definitely recommend to others! Thanks.
This ceremony site is perfect if you are looking for an outdoor garden wedding. The gazebo is at the bottom of a small hill overlooking the water (pond). The gazebo is beautiful ...
if left alone, showing the bare rocks. Also gorgeous if you prefer draping. There is an indoor space for 'Plan B' if it rains, but clearly this would not be your first choice. Our April wedding was beautiful there, things were just starting to green up and bloom. Fortunately the weather was ideal and it was absolutely beautiful.
There is a large reception area, including a covered/tented pavilion with twinkle lights adjacent to an indoor area (you could rent both for larger weddings for a more formal seating arrangement for dinner followed by music and dancing under the tent). The dogwood and tulips were absolutely gorgeous for our wedding. No overt decorations necessary as the venue is already beautiful.
They were going through a change in staff during the year that we were under contract with them, which is the only reason they get four stars from me. The coordinator who was there for the last several months and ended up staffing our wedding was so nice and very organized, but prior to that they were a little flighty. During this change they also increased their prices quite a bit, but they did honor our contract.
I would definitely recommend this venue. You will need a wedding coordinator though, because everything is very spread out and would be hard to manage without someone (or a team of people).
