interview. After seeing his portfolio in person and meeting with him...within about 1 minute I was sure he was the one we needed. In addition to being a picture freak, I'm also extremely detail oriented and it looked as if Will was as well. He made everything super easy regarding getting everything he needed from us to be ready for the big day and asked us about our style and what we were looking for. I can't tell you how many friends and family came up to me during and after the event exclaiming about how hard Will and his team were working. "They never put the cameras down, they're everywhere!" I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and that's HIIIIIGH praise coming from me (I'm extremely picky about pictures). Will and his team were light hearted and fun and made everyone feel at ease. Every picture had a drama factor, and felt epic. Have you heard of Thomas Kinkade (Painter of Light)?....well Will King is the photographer version. You will NOT be disappointed if you choose him for your event. My only complaint is that we didn't have time for more pictures!!!!!! ;) Honestly...I feel as though he is underpriced. You will get your money's worth! If you want pictures that tell a story and aren't just sloppy snapshots of memories, Will King is your story teller.

the photographer. I spent a month calling and emailing with various folks, but never felt confident in any of them for a variety of reasons. I then found Will's website and after reading his Bio and thumbing through his galleries - knew that I found the one. In my estimation - 90% of the wedding photographers out there aren't very good when you consider how much you're paying them. The next 8-9% are great, and I would have felt content finding one in this range. But, that last 1% are amazing and each bring something really unique to the table that the others don't possess. This is where Will resides - the top 1%. He has an amazing eye for composition and does a really great job of capturing images that are unique and bring out an emotion in you. But, that's not where Will really shines - his secret weapon is a keen understanding of lighting. A lot of photographers I talked with said they used a pop-up flash on their camera (this should be a deal breaker for anyone paying money for wedding photos), most used a single hot-shoe flash (the tall one you attach to the camera body), but Will brings an armada of lighting equipment. Lighting is one of those things that photographers of all levels usually struggle with and is one of those skill sets that we're all working to hone. Will has already honed his and it's evident the minute you look at his images. Will also teaches lighting classes to other photographers, so this should give an indication as to how good he his. He was busy strapping down flashes to posts in our reception area and we used a lot of off-camera flashes in our evening shots. And those, of course, were some of the most powerful images we got from Will. I had some pretty simple, but hard to fill, requirements for our images. They needed to be timeless, minimally processes (no funky photoshop effects or instagram-like processing), I wanted the images to be sharp as a tack (really clear and in focus), I wanted interesting compositions (not just 50 images all taken at eye-level that look like they could have come off someone's point and shoot camera), and I wanted the images to be authentic and really capture the emotion of our wedding. I wanted the images to tell a story and not just be a collection of abstract photos. I had such high expectations for our wedding photos that I was more nervous about this aspect of the wedding than I was about the fact that I was writing my vows the morning of our wedding. I felt like I had set the bar impossibly high for what I wanted, and I was scared .......shirtles......... that I would be disappointed in the photos. When Will sent me the link to our gallery - I cried. I cried out of relief that I my confidence in Will was justified. I cried because the images were beyond my expectations and were simply beautiful. If you are searching, reading reviews, clicking through galleries - stop. Seriously - take my advice and book Will now. He's a great guy, his skills are miles beyond everyone else's, he listens to what you want and makes it happen, and he's well priced. I thought there was a catch somewhere given his caliber of photos. 50 years from now, our wedding photos will still look amazing, and for that, I am forever thankful I found Will.

When my fiance and I went to his house for our consultation and looked at his albums and heard his passion for what he did, we didn't even have to discuss whether or not he was going to be our photographer. The day of the wedding he showed up with an assistant and brought an extra photographer with him and they were all amazing. Professional from day one and he was never intrusive when he was taking pictures. I told him the kind of pictures I wanted, one being a picture of me and my husband kissing and a circle of light from sparklers going all around us. He did everything in his power to get that shot and made my one of my dream pictures come true. Every single picture was absolutely breath-taking and he went above and beyond to get some amazing shots. Half way through the reception, he got our attention and took us outside. Our reception was at a golf course and it had a beautiful fountain and there he took our favorite picture of all time. I highly recommend him to everyone. I can't stop looking at my pictures and relive one of the best days of my life through his pictures. I found many packages that were affordable from other vendors that also offered many pictures, but they were not the quality that I was looking for. With "Will King" this moment was too important to me, as there comes a time when you have realized that the most important captured moments of your life should be about quality and not quantity. Will and his team were so passionate about their work and it showed. After viewing the photo gallery, it was just breathtaking, leaving me speechless to the point that for years to come, I will always be excited about reliving those precious moments captured on January 26, 2013, by Will and his team. Will and his team are true professionals. I was very impressed with everything. They were on location and ready to go to work. It’s one thing as the Groom to be standing there watching the ceremony while being so emotional, but to look at the pictures afterwards with your Bride, we felt together as if we were reliving the moment. We had to reschedule our engagement shoot 3 times, all because of rain. We ended up shooting our engagement pictures two days before our wedding. Not only did he have them uploaded for us to see that same night, but we picked up the 16x20 picture we used as a display for our wedding the very next day.
