er. He was straight to the point, told us his expectations and also gave us the floor to discuss the shots that we wanted. The day of the wedding was perfect, and it was all captured by Bills beautiful photos. My sister wanted to go to 3 locations (which I thought was impossible) but Bill made it happen and took beautiful pictures at each location and even fit in more spots along the way. As a photographer I really appreciated how he used his surroundings and lighting to capture the most beautiful backdrops. He also made sure to keep us on time and helped us with anything we needed along the way. He didn't stop moving the entire day to get the most beautiful photos of my sister’s wedding day. I think I was even more excited than she was when they came in! I would highly recommend Bill for a wedding or any event!

in what I wanted. He refused to take any staged photos and did not even take the time to make a clear backdrop for my bridal photos. After the ceremony he refused to let our family take pictures of their owe and rudely kicked them out of the church. After being told he needed to calm down and drop the attitude he then began to sulk like a child and would not put in any work in staging my bridal party for our photo session resulting in terrible messy pictures and arriving late to our reception. At the reception after insisting we pay for him to have to buffet he was the first person to eat and instead of getting shots of our guests he spent the remainder of the time eating and drinking from our bar. The whole reception we only have 2000 pictures of the back of people's heads on the dance floor as he never went around taking pictures of our guests at the tables or moving around the dance floor to get group shots. Overall so incredibly dissatisfied with the service he provided to me and my husband and the attitude giving to my guests on the day which was supposed to be filled with nothing but love and happiness. Highly recommend another vendor

We are BEYOND thrilled with the beautiful wedding photos that Bill took. The photos reflected who we are and he found all the perfect spots for beautiful back drops. I HIGHLY recommend everyone book Bill Ames for their photos for ANY event. Bill, thank you for capturing our day so beautifully!!

My guests commented that they hardly noticed he was there, which allowed for some really nice candid shots. Overall, Bill did a wonderful job. I would definitely recommend him!

We also weren't happy with the price and thought it was ridiculous to pay $3,000+ for a few hours of photos and then have to pay for the Rights to them as well as prints on top of that. I had taken a look at Bill's website and was pleased with the style and price of the photographs that he took. I then showed my Fiance (at the time) and he really liked them too. We then set up a meeting with Bill and his wife (his assistant) to ask questions and see some of his work. We were very pleased and signed a contract that night! He was all about getting what photos we wanted! He told us "I am your employer for the day. I will take the pictures you want... I just enjoy taking pictures." He was not trying to nickel and dime us for every service that he offered and told us upfront that we would get about 3,000 pictures; he was there for the entire day (not by the hour) and afterwards we owned the Rights to our photos and could make as many of any prints that we wanted from a hard drive with no extra charge. He would also touch up a few photos that we wanted altered in any way. On the day of our wedding we were expecting Fall leaves and sun but we had a freak snow storm with 9 inches of snow that morning (October 29, 2011). Bill went with the flow. We had to change a few locations for pictures and he even ventured out in the snow with us for a few fun shots! He was there from 8am to 9pm that night! A week later we were given all of our pictures (about 3,700 of them) on a hard drive. They looked absolutely wonderful and we are still going through them. He keeps copies of all of them in case anything were to happen to our copy and if we wanted something retouched later on down the road. We would recommend Bill to anyone! He is willing to travel and will work along side you to make sure you get the photos you want!
