We researched far and wide to find the right videographer and are so glad we ended up with Ben. Ben was an absolute joy to work with and the videos he made for us were gorgeous, artistic, and something we'll treasure forever. He was a wonderful presence on the day (which is so important!) and worked with us before and after to ensure that the videos he provided were exactly what we were looking for. I really felt the need to write something about Ben. If you are considering him you already know about his impressive professional work. So that I won't get into. I am writing this (lengthy review) because of how kind & personable Ben was on our wedding day.
Wedding days can be super stressful, no matter how magical. I was definitely on edge. But Ben was just such a nice guy about everything, whenever I looked over at him he was smiling and relaxed. He really has seen it all and nothing really ruffles his feathers at this point.
At my friends wedding she had this video guy who was just awful, barking orders as he directed us around. They are usually guys, and they really just think that everything they do is so so important. So at first I wasn't going to even hire someone to do video at our wedding. But my maid of honor talked me into it, and she was right!
I just don't think that when you are on a site like this you get a sense of who you are actually hiring. You see their work, but the thing is your photographer and videographer are right there with you for one of the most special days of your life. They kind of are with you more than anyone else and they are basically a complete stranger! So it really matters that it's someone who you like, who is kind, and is always ready to help.
That was Ben. Alex and I were just so happy to have his energy there. He's shot so many weddings he even helped out in little unexpected ways. Alex was struggling with a pocket square (Yeah, he wanted to look so cool) but he couldn't get it right. Ben knew how to fold it just right! (Alex wanted to be sure I included that story).
So we love Ben, he was so awesome, and when we finally got the video it was amazing. Turns out he can shoot too! I 100% recommend him.

Ben is a thoughtful and talented cinematographer - he's great to work with and professional from start to finish! His work was super impressive for my best friend's wedding and I wish I had worked with him on mine!

Ben is a passionate visual storyteller, who began his career in Santa Fe, New Mexico documenting the disappearing folk art traditions of the American Southwest. Ben went on to work as a producer on award winning documentary films with Magic Stone Productions.
It was when Ben married his wife Katie that his perspective on wedding videography shifted. Capturing their own special day opened Ben's eyes to the value of this kind of storytelling.
