We had the opportunity to meet them prior at a coffee shop and discuss our vision and timeline for the wedding while also getting to know each other. Anna and Mikhail know Brooklyn extremely well and were very helpful planning out the day and figuring out where to take our pictures and family photos. h them, they were just so warm and made us feel comfortable. We had met a ton of other photographers, but after we met them, it just felt like an easy decision. Also, I should say, if you're getting married at MyMoon in Brooklyn and are looking for a photographer, they are it! They got married there and know the space so well, which really puts a nervous bride at ease. We ended up doing an engagement shoot with Anna first (we negotiated to get this with our wedding photography package) and it was such a great experience. Anna gave us direction, while also continuing to shoot while we fell into more natural poses. I think this produced photos that we loved because they felt like *us*. Everyone raved about our engagement pics and we even ended up using one for our save the date. In the lead up to the wedding, Anna was super easy to communicate with and answered all of my silly questions. The day of the wedding was flawless. They captured some great moments, but never got in the way. A number of my bridesmaids (plus my mom) also commented on how sweet Anna and Mikhail were! If you're looking for overdone, "fake looking", posed wedding photos, they are probably not for you. But if you want a true capturing of your big day and all the small, special moments that come along with that, I can't think of a better photographer pair to hire. They are truly the best!

We also received our sneak peek photos and the final set very promptly (I would even say the sneak peek photos came earlier than expected). It has been a tremendous relief to know we could always count on them every step of the way. *2. They are very experienced and professional.* Their experience really showed in how well they managed our day-of timeline. They showed up precisely on time, seamlessly moved us from one location to the next, expertly directed us while making us feel comfortable, and knew exactly where to go for the best shots. They also easily coordinated with our videographer and I noticed they would always make sure the videographer got their shot and was also ready to move on before doing so; I felt this was very considerate of Anna/Mikhail and contributed to how smoothly everything ran. many people know, planning a wedding can be stressful at times but Anna was so helpful, flexible and comforting. My husband and I had never had a portrait session before and I anticipated this being an awkward process but Anna made us feel so as ease and comfortable - it shows in the photos! Even my parents were skeptical at first about hiring a photographer but they understood why it is so important after seeing the quality of the images. Even just last night they texted me to say how much they loved looking through all the images and remembering the day! ll of our guests. We felt like they were in control of the day in capturing everything we wanted. The First Look wasn't the easiest because the area we were shooting in was extremely crowded with tourists that afternoon, but they cleared the way for shots, politely asked people to move out of the way and it turned out beautifully. With our families, we got all of the group shots we wanted. They also had a great sense of balance between black & white and color, and managed to capture many small moments, expressions and emotions that we'll thankfully get to refer back to and remember for many years to come. The quality of the photos were breathtaking and we couldn't have been happier with how they turned out. Having a husband & wife team also made the whole thing feel that much more romantic, not to mention efficient being able to have one cover the groom and the other the bride. The initial response was prompt, professional, and friendly, and I was so pleasantly surprised to find out that we could have their style within our budget. We met for coffee and my now husband and I felt immediately at ease. Anna and Mikhail have a calm demeanor that is so appreciated during the stress of wedding planning, and we could tell that they understood the kind of photos we were hoping to get. We booked right away and stayed in contact during our 15 month engagement; Anna was always quick to respond to emails and as the wedding day approached, was essential in helping us figure out the flow of the day and photography timeline. It was important to us that we do a first look and a few posed family prior to the ceremony so that we not miss cocktail hour, and they advised the best timeline based on November lighting and the family shots we needed to take. On the day of the wedding, Anna arrived ahead of schedule to the hotel where my girls and I were getting ready, while Mikhail headed to the venue to start getting décor shots. Anna's presence was so helpful and reassuring to me during the last few hours of prep, and she was able to get some getting ready shots without ever being in the way. When it was time to leave to head to the first look, I panicked as our Uber driver cancelled. Anna continued to reassure me we had enough time and even helped make sure the second driver that came was going the right way. It was a small thing but a huge help when I was anxious and could not focus on details. I know that isn't photo-related but to me it showed the level of care they have about their couples. Anna and Mikhail did a fantastic job throughout our wedding, keeping us on schedule with the shots we wanted to make sure we got. They were unobtrusive and let the evening unfold organically without grabbing us for photos or asking us to pose. I got the sense that they genuinely wanted to be there and enjoyed the work that they were doing, and I also love that they are a married team. The photos we received are beyond what we would have expected. They somehow managed to capture so many moments of the day that I don't even know how they got. Someone else used "magazine quality" to describe the pictures and that's the perfect description- I honestly cannot stop looking at them and don't know how I will choose which ones to print because there are so many favorites. My husband and I will treasure these photos and we can't thank Anna and Mikhail enough for their assistance leading up to the wedding, their professionalism and demeanor on the day of, and these absolutely gorgeous photographs. They visited our venue after some changes happened that would make shooting challenging, so were able to come up with a plan to still get the beautiful shots we wanted. And the actual photography - we were blown away (especially since their turnaround was so quick)! They have an amazing documentary style, which allowed us to have great shots of the wedding without "posing" all night. The photos are stunning, and there are literally HUNDREDS that we want to print. We also asked for many challenging shots - our decor utilized mirrors heavily, and our backdrop was the Empire State Building at night - not easy things for a photographer to capture easily. Anna and Mikhail nailed it, and I'm looking forward to meeting with them to discuss having heirloom albums done.
