I needed a day-of coordinator, but in hindsight I am SO incredibly glad that we decided to move forward with one. I had started to hear stories about couples who were so bogged down in wedding logistics and decision-making that they didn’t have time to really enjoy their day. The same could not be said for us, as with Katie’s help it was truly the best day of our lives and we were able to be immersed in every minute of it. Katie met with us throughout the planning process to check in and see where she could provide her guidance. She also helped with the timeline of the day, which was especially helpful for me as I had never been in a bridal party before and had no experience to pull from. She recommended several vendors that we ended up using as well (makeup, ceremony musician, bakery, DJ), all of which were fabulous and in our price range. She helped with decision-making, and also gave us advice on the “little things” that can cause wedding headaches that she now knows to avoid with all of her experience. This included everything from what time you should ask the bridal party to convene (because someone ALWAYS runs late) to how to cut the late night pizza. The wedding itself was a massive success. Katie was on top of absolutely everything. If anything went wrong, I couldn’t tell you what it was because she handled it with ease and didn’t get us involved unless it was absolutely necessary. She was so prepared and organized that I had several family members come up to me then (and since) to sing her praises. If you’re like I was and are unsure about a day-of coordinator, let this be your sign to do it, because truly Katie is the best in the business.
