Willow Haven Event Center

really appreciated having such a beautiful outdoor area in which to have our springtime ceremony. It really helped to create the intimate and connected atmosphere that we wanted for our very small and long-anticipated wedding. It was also amazing to have the lovely barn so close by for the reception, and it took a lot of stress off of us to also have that option there as a backup ceremony area in case of inclement weather. Having the kitchenette and cozy bridal/groom suites on-site were also very convenient. All of the representatives we met with from the venue were kind and responsive, and the recommendations they gave for other vendors were extremely helpful. The on-site support staff and bartender for the event did a good job. Unfortunately, the reason this review is 3 stars is because we chose Willow Haven's DJ services as part of our venue package and we were very disappointed with how the reception was conducted; we felt rushed through everything and had to constantly come over and give the DJ instructions because he was distracted by his phone all night, even though we'd been told he would be in charge of keeping things on track and we had previously filled out paperwork and sent emails with everything written-out in detail. We didn't have many formal events planned (many of the traditional ones we opted-out of altogether out of personal preference) but even the few we did ask for didn't go smoothly and some key moments we’d been looking forward to were missed. This was surprising to us because the entire staff (including the DJ, whom we'd met a few times prior) were all so nice and helpful during the whole process leading up to and on the day of. I was struggling with whether to give 3 stars or 4 for this review because everyone there is so nice and I can tell that they really care about what they do, but speaking to several disappointed guests after the event helped me make up my mind. Even though I doubt that receptions here usually turn out this way, I can only give a review based on the experience I actually had, not the experience I'd expected to have. Overall, I do recommend this venue and don't think I would've chosen to go anywhere else for our wedding given the chance (as the ceremony is the truly important part), despite being very unhappy with the reception. Their grounds, facilities, and most of the amenities and staff are incomparable. If I was to do everything over, I would've just hired an outside DJ and put one of my guests in charge of ensuring that the reception went as planned. I didn't do this because I wanted everyone to just relax and enjoy the party, but as part of my standard advice for future brides going forward (regardless of the venue you choose), I would definitely recommend designating someone to handle that responsibility. PS. Now that I’m looking through some of the other reviews on Google, it seems like others had some issues with the DJ services in the past, but they didn’t exactly say why.

Aside from the stunning venue, the gorgeous property, free linen options, free decor to utilize, getting to chose whatever caterer you want, bringing your own alcohol so you save money, you get Kitty & Duane, the owners of the facility. Kitty & Duane will treat every bride & groom as if they are their own adult children walking down the aisle that day. They want everything to be perfect for you and they will make sure everything runs smoothly. They even pack all of your wedding items up for you at the end of the night so you do not have to. When our family left Willow Haven for the second time, we were all saddened knowing we will not have another event there again. We are now in discussions to host a huge family reunion there every few years because we all loved our experience so much. Kitty & Duane, thank you for the incredible experience you blessed my family with 2x over. We look forward to working with you in the future!

10 girls getting ready in there with no problem, that’s saying something ! The lovely options to get married indoor or outdoor and beautiful landscaping for pictures so you don’t have to leave the property all so dreamy ! The barn is absolutely gorgeous like straight off my Pinterest vision board ! The staff was very personable, treated my guests like family, also offer a lot of decor so you don’t have to go out and buy as much. We used their DJ system, I was skeptical at first and thought I needed to go find my own DJ but honestly using their DJ system was a very wise choice, played all the music we wanted, great lighting system, announced all our big moments. 10/10 recommend, 5 stars just isn’t enough ! Willow Haven made our wedding dreams come true !

were very responsive through the planning process and made our day just how we pictured it. Simple and beautiful. It was SO cold that day but they made sure our guest were safe and warm. If I could give them 100 stars I would!! Would recommend them to anyone!

finished as promised. Duane and Kitty are amazing and really make sure everything flows on your special day! Duane saved one of my guests salad for 6 hours! (Guest forgot about it lol) He also carried our guest book around to everyone at the end of the night to make sure everyone signed it. Their whole property is beautiful and the staff were amazing. We will never regret choosing Willow Haven and you won’t either!
