After being jerked around for a year by another videographer, we were left with only 3 months to find someone who would truly see us and understand the heart of our micro-wedding. ...
Finding Maddie felt like fate. From our very first FaceTime, my husband and I felt an immediate sense of connection, warmth, and soul— everything we were missing before, and everything we needed for such an intimate day.
Her communication was thoughtful and consistent, and planning from Buffalo became so much less overwhelming because she always had ideas, guidance, and reassurance ready for us. It was a stressful season, but every time I spoke with Maddie, I felt myself breathe a little easier. She carries a calming, grounding energy that is such a gift on your wedding day.
We added Super 8, but due to an incredibly rare film lab mishap (completely out of her control), our footage was destroyed. It was devastating for all of us. Yet the grace, empathy, and integrity Maddie showed in how she handled it said everything about who she is— not just as a videographer, but as a human. She refunded the add-on in full, which allowed us to have Super 8 filmed at our reception back home. That generosity meant more than she knows.
The moments Maddie captured for us are pieces of our day we will hold close for the rest of our lives. We feel so lucky and so grateful that she was the one who captured our story!

e! Everyone tells you how fast the day goes by, and it truly does, and as the bride and groom there's so much that you miss! I loved watching back all the big moments, but it was so special to see all the little moments and conversations that truly made the day so special. Maddie captured the energy of the day beautifully and the artistry of our videos is incredible. It was everything I could have dreamed and more! Maddie is also just lovely and professional to work with, I can't recommend using Willow Layne Films enough!

e kind of videographer that will put you at ease in front of the camera and help you relax on your big day and also have a blast while being filmed!
I loved how our wedding video has both the fun and lively parts of our wedding day, along with the sweet sentimental moments highlighted. Madde goes about the day in a way that makes things flow so well, capturing “behind the scenes” moments, along with making you feel beautiful through different poses. She is also extremely accommodating with whatever requests the bride & groom might have, so that way she can capture exactly what you want, in a way that feels natural and genuine to you as the couple.
Since Maddie filmed my wedding, I have had many friends ask if they could use my same videographer - including my 2 sister-in-law’s and I am SO happy to recommend Maddie. I love knowing that these other brides will be in great hands with Maddie as their videographer.
I think everyone should have a friend like Maddie in their life, and every bride should have this kind of videographer for their wedding! If I could give her 1000000 stars I would, but for the sake of this review, 5 stars will have to do.
Maddie was the videographer for two of my sibling's weddings, and I remember being amazed at how beautifully she captured their days. I could really feel the emotion and love betwe...
en the married couples in her videos, which exemplified to me her raw talent and deep understanding of the art of film. Based on the great experiences my siblings had working with her, I was very quick to submit an inquiry after getting engaged, and I ultimately was beyond impressed with how well she captured my wedding. Bottom line - anyone can film your wedding, but it takes serious talent to put it together in a recap video the way that Maddie can. I wholeheartedly recommend Willow Layne Films!!
