Just like this beautiful old building, here at Willowbrook Mill, we’re a little old fashioned in the way we conduct business. It’s our belief that we should follow the three R’s: Respect, Responsibility and Relationship. It takes all three of these components to create a seamless event and all of these are a two way street; from the venue to the client, and from the client to the venue. We host only one wedding each weekend, and by doing so, it allows us the luxury of offering our clients a four hour decor setup day on Friday before the rehearsal dinners begin. And having the setup completed on Friday means the couple’s wedding day can be spent on savoring each moment instead of rushing to the venue to place decorations before the hair and makeup people arrive. We also offer a two hour appointment on Sunday morning to remove decorations and couples can block their time between 8:00 AM and Noon, when they must have all their items removed. Our wedding reception package charges only for the five hour event on Saturday night, and the other six hours allowed for setup and tear-down are a gift from us to our very special customers. No one else in the area offers this much flexibility and access to their venue, but our goal is to create a beautiful, safe, happy space for this major life event for each and every client. We are old fashioned. We know, And we are proud of it. Because we respect our clients, when we set an appointment time at 8:30 on a Sunday morning we are at the venue, ready and waiting for their arrival because we gladly take on the responsibility of serving our customers. You can count on us to be there for you every time. If an appointment time is missed, it means that we are waiting at the venue for our clients to arrive. And when we reach out by phone and text multiple times to ascertain an arrival time, it’s because we gave the original appointment time the respect it deserved and we were responsibly waiting. We’re very sad to see that an otherwise successful event would inspire a client to place a comment on a social media website that might lead future clients to believe there was some moment when we did not respect our commitment or did not behave responsibly in executing our work. We would have hoped the client would have reached out to us directly to discuss the situation he was referring to before he chose the route of leaving negative feedback. With respect and responsibility between clients and venues, we can, together, build a collaborative relationship; a one-time-team that can create some of the most amazing memories of a couple’s life.
